Rooms very clean, great views
We requested two double beds and got one king, no explanation or apology from staff. Checking in took a very long time, even with no line
Great location and truly enjoyed my stay, wished it could have been longer.
I got a great price for this luxury hotel AND then an upgrade from a regular room to a junior suite because they were out of regular rooms. The room was beautiful, luxurious, very comfortable!
The location is excellent, being a block off Michigan Avenue, right in the heart of downtown Chicago. We have stayed at other hotels, and this one was more boutique and European in feel, which we like. Cozy, comfortable, upscale yet relaxed.
The only negative aspect of our one-night stay is that we hung the room service menu with breakfast selections on our door handle at night. The instructions said to have it out there prior to 3am. But no one picked it up, and we did not get breakfast delivered at our desired time. Had to call room service in the early a.m.and while they did rush our order to us at that time, no discount was offered.
The parking fee was very expensive. Felt like a rip off.
Location, lobby, staff
We were given 2 double beds instead of 1 queen. Air conditioner didn't cool the room to below 72 degrees
I was given a free room upgrade when no normal Kings were available. This allowed me to have a fantastic view of the city, millennium park, the river, and the lake from the corner suite. The workout facilities are also gorgeous.
You should not have to pay extra to use Wifi.
- View of the lake - Comfortable bed - Access to shopping/restaurants
- $15 or $25 per day for wi-fi access - $29 for continental breakfast per person per day - Nightmare getting to & leaving hotel
Didn't like how rude some of the staff was. Very unorganized.
Less than expectation
The workout room
There was trash left in the room from previous visitors, there was not a fire safety sign on the room, there was a volleyball tournament so pool area too full.
The free pool and gym access was a nice plus for a downtown Chicago hotel. Locating it on the 42nd floor made it even better. Staff were pleasant and went out of their way to help us. Location is great as well.
When I called the lady that answered was every helpful and friendly I believe her was Rachel or Raquel. Was able to check in early
Hard tofind found it from the back of hotel though the parking garage. It was my first time in Chicago I didn't know that they changed for parking everywhere. So asked a different lady that was there because Raquel was busy another customer and this lady was very rude about explaining that they charge everywhere she could have apologized and asked maybe if we were From out of town and didn't know
The location was perfect and the classy European style finished throughout the hotel were great
The parking garages have small 2'x2' signs which make it difficult to find while driving the busy streets of Chicago
Great service and accommodations. Santa suite was a hit with the kids!
We were in a regular room that connects to a suite and there was a loud group in there loudly partying all night long. Action was taken immediately by staff, but soon after each warning the noise resumed. Request to be placed away from party suites...
Fast, easy check-in. Fast elevator service. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom. Beautiful stay as always at the Swissotel. Will definitely recommend and consider staying again.
Friendly, convenient, clean, well organized, professional
Great Location- but hard to get to. The view of Navy Pier.
Was expecting more from a $300.00 a night hotel. Very small room with no "extras".
Air conditioning did not work They confused my reservation with someone else and had no way of confirming which was mine or if I was double booked. My confirmation number was different than the one they received from Kayak and it did not show my home address in their system to confirm that way either. Seems like there should be a better system with 3rd party bookings. The confusion was worrisome and took me at least an hour of time trying to sort out the situation.
The bed was nice.
I had to have the air fixed twice while there. They were not very quick to assist.
Friendly Up-to-date No run around Clean
I hate you could not shut the curtains Parking Expensive Had to go across riverwalk to get to Navy Pier Wi-Fi not included
