Stayed here on July 15,2012 for a business trip. I was unable to turn on AC. Asked for help from night staff - the lady at checkin (VERY RUDE) was told to wait for night guard to come to work in 2 hours. I waited for 2 hours in the heat. Night guard was able to get the fan on the ac to come on but the room was very hot and never cooled down to a bearable temperature. The bed felt like a cement slab and the pillows were not much better. My first and last time at this place. The room and linens were dated, but the rudeness when I talked to her about the AC was unbelivable.
After reading all the reviews i was a little sceptical but once my family and I arrived we were pleasently surprised, our unit was just beautiful very well kept and inviting, the pool was great since it was off season we had it all to ourselves, the beach was nice too many rocks and shells on the sand, and too much seaweed in the water but overall still a great time. My only negative was Breezez restaurant the first night we got there it was late and we didnt want to venture out so we decided to eat there, the menu was amazing but when i asked if there was a kids menu or if they could could at least get a burger or chicken fingers I was told no they would have to eat from the menu, so needless to say we never ate there again. I would recommend club st croix for a quick and relaxing get away
Very nice if you are looking for a quiet place. Visited in May, so off season contributed. You will need to rent a car. Contrary to advertising, things are not in walking distance and even if you are a hiker you might not want to walk through a less than 'nice' neighborhood to get to Christiansted. Clean rooms and property is well kept. If you opt for this property rememeber it is not a hotel, you are renting a condo, so other amenities are not there and you will need to shop elsewhere for snacks etc. Great restaurant (slightly pricy) but is not open for breakfast.
CLOSE TO MANY ATTRACTIONS, RESTAURANTS, STORES, ACCESS AND ROADS, BEACHES
This is the second time I've stayed there. The first time we expected a sofa bed and didn't have that. This time we expected a sofa and got chairs instead. It's impossible to get a good room description beforehand if you book online through Antilles. On the other hand the pool was great, especially for swimming laps. The grounds and beach are beautiful. It's nice to have a full kitchen. The room was clean, but nothing fancy. The staff was helpful and friendly. It's convenient to grocery shopping, restaurants, and town. You probably can't beat it for the price. Unfortunately, we couldn't swim in the ocean during the entire time due to WAPA closing. There really aren't any activities scheduled onsite, especially if you can't snorkel or swim in the ocean.
Love Club St. Croix, stayed 10 days in penthouse suite. Recently renovated, new upgrades, pool recently done. Beautiful gallery views, quiet, centrally located near Christensted, mcdonalds, grocery stores. Private beachfront, great restaurant on property, and the friendliest staff.
Recently stayed at Club St. Croix in August 2010. Great location, walk to McDonalds, Church's, grocery stores. 5 minutes to Christensted. Beautiful views of Buck Island and St. Thomas from penthouse gallery. New pool and restaurant upgrades. Laundry room. Free internet at office. Very well landscaped, quiet and clean. Rental car a must to see and enjoy entire island. The friendliest staff on island. PARADISE!!!
Condo was oceanfront but water was unswimmable -- filled with eelgrass. Beach was pebbly and needed aqua shoes in order to walk on it. Condo pool was poorly maintained. No one seemed to know if water quality was checked. regularly.
The club st. croix was, as mentioned, a quiet, quaint hotel on the beach. the one bedroom suite we had was a pleasant surprise with an awesome view of the beach and pool area. i will second the motion on the beach as reviewed by other guests: not good. as soon as you step in it's seaweed for another 200 yards out. GO TO BUCK ISLAND. thats my best advice. also check out the hotel restaurant and bar 'Breezez'. good food and always fun at happy hour. one word of warning though...in the hotel description it lists a 'swim-up bar'. not so much. i came with expectations of, well, swimming up to request my coctail. not exactly. just a shaded table situated in/on the side of the pool. we would have thought we were the only guests there. keep in mind that in the summer, the a/c is on a timer and the room is near impossible to keep cool with the extreme heat. however, the hotel is well worth the stay for your money and the room is very spacious. i would recommend you try it for yourself. i would not recommend it for parents looking for kid friendly hotels. no real activities.
Our 2nd trip to St. Croix and 1st to Beach and Tennis Club and very disapointed. The beach was very rough and you need to wear shoes. Do not plan on doing much swimming here. We had to go to another resort to swim. The pool was not working for the first 3 days and needed to be cleaned better.
THE APT WAS NICE. ONE BEDROOM WAS GOOD ,THE SECOND HAD TWO TWIN BEDS THAT WERE HORRIBLE TO SLEEP IN. POOL WAS NICE BUT THE WHOLE PLACE VERY QUIET---- HARDLY ANYONE AROUND. CABS TO DO ANYTHING , GOT EXPENSIVE AFTER AWHILE .BEACH WASN'T AS NICE AS OTHERS ON THE ISLAND. IN ALL WOULD NEVER RETURN THERE
