Affordable hotel with all the amenities. We had family of 5 and everyone enjoyed it. Room had a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, stove even dishwasher, soap and sponge.
The free breakfast was good, staff was pleasant
Newly renovated rooms free breakfast & wifi.
Construction going on. No lobby, no pool because of the construction.
Rooms are too small , other hotels are offering bigger rooms
1-Rooms are too small2-staff are not helpful3- Too noisy - becuase of renovation 4- Gym is closed
Location was central to a lot. Quiet area HOT breakfast buffet with some Asian selections. Very friendly staff.
Parking lot limited with narrow spaces due to construction. Thin walls.
Free parking. Free breakfast.
Remodeling is being done so there was a lot of construction noises throughout the day.
Hotel was under remodel and quite a mess. No parking near my room had to walk threw construction workers smoking and staring at us. Pool and hot tub not heated, no excise room. We were worried to leave our thing in the room to go get food.
Breakfast was easy to get and there was a variety of things. Easy parking also.
They're remodeling so there was no access to the gym. Should be nice once everything is complete.
Hotel is under construction and they gave us a room that was already renovated. Very nice.
This brand new room was also as close to the construction as possible. It did not really effect our stay.
This hotel is undergoing a renovation. The construction makes navigating around confusing and it is not exactly aesthetically pleasing. But they desperately need the reno, the room was very outdated and the walls are paper thin.
Breakfast was very good.
Noise from AC. Tv screen got 3 dot lines. Replace a new one.
Standard room is so small, no work station at all! Not good with people who are claustrophobic.
inexpensive and location that fit my needs. Kitchen in the room was nice and convenient. Room size was good. Staff pretty helpful.
Did not live up to the standards of the hyatt brand. Remodel was in progress and water was turned off during the day. They informed me at checkin on an additional $30 per night fee for a double bed room, which is unreasonable and hard to change last min.
Hotel was situated in a quite business area and close to restaurants. The entry way and the courtyard was nice. I liked that a warm breakfast was included.
Not enough parking & parking stalls were too narrow. I had to wait until someone pulled out to get parking. I did not like the hefty upgrade fee $30-40 for a double (full size) bed. I've paid less on room upgrade at nicer 4-5 star hotels.
The breakfast is good.
This was a sad experience. We had been to the same hotel a few weeks earlier. Liked it enough to bring our family. Night/day change. The floor was so dirty my clean feet turned brown, dirty bathroom counter, poorly vacuumed, edges dirty, paint chipping...
I liked the comfortable room and hot breakfast.
The hotel was under construction. Didn't put me too much out of my way. Definitely didn't like the small parking spaces!
Yes we were locked out of our room for over an our and I had a 7 month old baby I couldn't feed because his formula/bottle was in our room.
the size of the room, breakfast included
We wondered if the air filters needed to be changed because we both felt some congestion upon waking. we only stayed 2 nights
I loved that I got better than I asked for. My whole family of SEVEN got a delicious free breakfast. Friendly, accommodating, clean, comfortable, smart and felt like home.
The location was great. Only about 15 mins from Disneyland and about a half hour from long beach
The staff really didn't engage with us much
The hotel was an all suites hotel, but not two of our three rooms. The two rooms were smaller than a regular hotel room. There was no room for a chair in the rooms.
Nice quiet locaiton. Free parking. Really good breakfast
Substantial upgrade fee if you need more than a tiny room with just a king size bed (technically a bedroom lock-off to their suites).
not at all as advertised. didnt stay even tho we paid.horrible
This was the smallest room I've ever stayed at. They also would not give me a room with two queens. No desk. Super small. I don't agree this is 3 stars.
The room that we got was a 'lock off' room from another suite. While that was fine, some of the basic amenities were not included such as an ice bucket and the television was very small in size.
The best part of this hotel was the location.
The TV was very old and the picture displayed was nearly unwatchable. It was 11 years old in fact. I know because I looked at the manufacture date on the back. The AC was also poor which made the room temp uncomfortable.
Room was spacious and large stayed in a king suite The only reason not a 5 on cleanliness is there was some mildew in the shower grout. The hotel is surounded by resturants all prices and quality. Close to knots berry farms.
What a lovely place to spend the night. We stayed here one night and wished it could have been longer. The room was lovely, the bed comfortable and the staff very helpful. We got in late and needed to have dinner. It was just at closing time for the bar/restaurant but the waitress rushed our order into the kitchen and made sure our dinner was prepared. The food was very good and the other guests in there included us in their conversation. We enjoyed the food and friendly people very much.
We stayed at the Woodfin again, this past April 10-17, 2010. The rooms are newly renovated as is the rest of the property. The staff is attentive and friendly and know pretty much anything you need to know. The included breakfast is amazing! From scrambled eggs (fresh!), bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, toast, bagels, cereal and waffles you just can't beat this place for the $$!! We had a slight problem with the hotel a few years back and since then everything is wonderful. The beds are comfy, the suites and kitchens fully loaded and sitting in the courtyard with a nice glass of wine or beer relaxing. They even have a cafe in the evening with lots of munchies, sandwiches and the like. And there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance both fast food and sit down yummy! So enjoy the Woodfin. We have for over 6 years now and will stay nowhere else when we go to So. Cal. each year to visit family and friends for 1 week! Enjoy!
Easy to find location, quick and friendly check-in, didn't have double queen room available so hotel offered king suite. Definately was enjoyable with 2 TV's and big kitchen. No DVD player though. Bathroom was clean but needed a new bathtub because there was a lot of rust around drain, kind of afraid to take a bath, stuck to showers. Excellent continental breakfast, a lot of choices for food and drink. Needs one more waffle maker. Pool and spa were great. Drive to Knott's Berry Farm was quick and easy. Same for Disneyland. Didn't go to the beach but sure it wouldn't take long to get there. I would definately recommend this establishment and would almost stay here again!!
For one week in January 2009, my husband and I stayed in a King Suite (not deluxe) while in California for the commissioning of the USS Green Bay in Long Beach. Our stay was great! Of course we had to drive but in California that's just what you do. My elderly mother-in-law and her sister took the shuttle to Disney which worked perfectly for them. We drove and it was an easy drive. We also drove only a few blocks to the Los Alamitos horse race track. The suite was very nice and roomy for two people. Beds were comfy and everything was clean. Sink and vanity outside the bathroom which I always like. We always felt safe. Full size refrigerator, dishes, etc. Breakfast was also very good. We were disappointed when we had to leave early (4 a.m.) and missed it. Staff was very attentive to any needs we had. Other relatives stayed at a Holiday Inn West in Anaheim and that wasn't nearly as nice and cost them more. Plus the area didn't seem as safe. Definitely would go back there.
This is a good hotel in a nice area for a decent price. Get the Exec. Suite as the bed is wonderful and you get free internet. Don't forget to ask for the unlimited calling plan. Hotel has a nice pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast is decent and social hour is pretty good as well. Lot's of good restaurant's in the area--try the Original Fish Market at Katella and Los Alamitos. Only areas of improvement that I note is hotel should invest in an upgrade that allows for quick check-out. Would also like to see one of those massaging shower heads in the tub as water pressure is not always premium.
