Cons. Everything was perfectly fine. Our only issue (and I never quite got over it) was the view. We were on the first floor. The patio (not balcony that I preferred) had a clear view of the vehicles coming to park. Children would randomly come and peek through our sliding door. There should be a way to choose what floor you’d like to be on. All in all, we made the best of our honeymoon.
Pros. Visually pleasant with night life and shops on site.
Cons. After driving thirteen hours with three children, it was disappointing to arrive and be surprised by additional fees of $92 at the check-in counter. From there we drove to our room (Bayside), unloaded the car, schlepped up to our room to find it uncleaned. Towels soaked in red juice, trash on the floor, no bedding, and the a/c off. The room phone did not work to call the front desk. I used my cell phone, and it remained on hold waiting for an agent for over 30 minutes. We didn't wait the 30 minutes, but I kept it on while re-loading the family and our luggage and returning to the front desk. They did change our room, but to pay $300/night and be moved to a room without 2 beds was disappointing. (Family of 5- original room was 2 Queens and a couch. "Upgraded" to a nicer area but given 1 Queen and a couch with 2 adults, 2 teens, and a 7 yr old.) 2nd room was clean but not adequate space for our family. Would've been better off saving money and having enough space for our family and a clean room. Not what I expect from a resort. Not even a complimentary bottle of water available.
Cons. The lady who checked us in was rude! Also I was bitten by bed bugs!! We have photos to prove it!
Pros. Perfect location!! Everything you need is right there or super close. We loved the Sunset Bay Cafe! Delicious food with an amazing view.
Pros. I'd go back in a heartbeat. The room had a gorgeous view of the Gulf and was very clean. The pool and hot tub are right outside with island music playing. We went at the end of the season so it wasn't crowded. 2 minute walk to the very clean well maitanted beach. It's also about a 5-19 minute drive to all the action in destin like water sports. The resorts has gorgeous golf courses, ship, restaurants...it's a gated secured community and I felt like I was driving through some rich neighborhood. Lol definitely recommend it!!! Especially in September after the summer season cuz the weather is still perfect and rooms are cheaper. Lol perfect for romantic getaways and families of all ages.

Pros. The location was ok had a nice beach and downtown sandestin was a nice atmosphere.
Cons. Have stayed at Sandestin 3 times now I liked the resort until this stay. The pool was filthy with all kinds of cups floating or sunk in pool a diaper had come apart on the side and it stayed there all day. We asked about getting someone to clean the pool and there was no one to do it (supposedly it was there day off). We stayed 3 days and the pools were dirty the whole time. No coolers were allowed at the pool so you had to buy water or whatever you wanted to drink from them. Didn't like the fact they charge a resort fee plus a cleaning fee on top of your nightly rate. You cant get a cup of water with your meal just bottled water waiter said they do to much volume to give a glass of water with your meal. Overall just thought they take advantage of whoever is staying on there property. I love the Destin area but will find a new place to stay.
