Internet free and a good position
Room dirty, old and noisy. No shower (only bath tub). We stayed 3 nights: the bath tub has not been cleaned after the second one. Breakfast is good, but the breakfast lounge is at level -1 (very sad...)
excellent position close to the very centre of the city - large rooms and bathroom - car parking in front of the hotel
the room was too hot and a little bit noisy because of bus passages in the early morning
Convenient for the rail and bus stations and town centre; quite smart rooms and typically for eastern european towns, were large.
The restaurant staff were typically unwelcoming, perhaps they do not like english speakers; it is disappointing that one has to ask for spoons, napkins, to be met with a shrug, some breakfast items not particularly nice, eggs, juice; as for the rooms, sadly more thought seems to have been spent on first impressions rather than practicality, no plug for sink, no hand rail for bath, towels a long way from sink. Only CNN as english language TV channel.
We had booked an appartment room and received a nice huge room on the 1st floor. Bathroom was equipped with bathtub. Rooms have controllable A/C. Breakfast was fine, though not enormous, just about right. Scrambled eggs in Gloria Palac were better than at the most hotels I stayed so far. There is a PC for internet for free use by the hotel's guests.
There is a huge construction site on the right hand side of the hotel. Work goes on everyday (including Sunday) from 8am. Construction of this so-called Aupark will take two more years. Apart of the noise, this makes the hotel more difficult to access by car and limits parking space in the vicinity.
Hotel reception, foyer and bar area very nice. Staff at the reception were courteous, polite and explained all facilities and local area in very good English which is a massive plus point. Proximity to the main street (Hlavna) and the road out of town was ideal.
The only slight problem we had was due to the heat the air conditioned unit was not good enough so our room was very hot even with the sky light windows open. We tried to set it to the lowest temp possible but it kept reverting back to 31 degrees ! The hotel needs proper air con in the rooms.
breakfast, voucher for coffe in the hotel restaurant was nice
view from the room in the backyeard, a bit cold in the night
Hotel was walking distance from the station and handy for city centre. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.
Due to the location - close to the main street and tram links, we had a very noisy room. It was hard to sleep at night. The furniture and the bathroom eguipment are average for 3* hotels. The personal was neutral...
Staff were friendly and helpful - they upgraded our room to a suite, for free, when we asked to change to a room with a double bed.
Noise from a wedding party late at night. Also the lighting in the room was poor. The breakfast was OK but nothing special.
friendly staff, clean rooms
breakfast was bad/
