The pickup never happened as when I arrived I was informed for the first time that I could only use a credit card. The employee was aggressive and standoff-ish. I would suggest putting a warning of what type of payment was acceptable at certain locations as a pop up or red lettering before completing the booking. I was using my cellphone to book so maybe double check that as I never got any indication for this. Luckily I was able to have my friend pick me up but the whole experience was upsetting.

Was a little disappointed with the choice of cars. The car we chose was very dirty like someone went through the mud with it. I had to wash it as mud was caked up in the wheel wells.

Pros:

The staff was nice, they were helpful

Cons:

The car was late to drop off and was not cleaned out but we were going on a family trip so we needed to leave. There was a nail in the drivers side tire and we used fix a flat and after hours drop off so I could not tell them. Not sure if the nail was in the tire when we picked it up but we were far from any towns and limited cell service so we did what we could do.

Easy after hours drop off box.

Cons:

Only issue was Avis Lakewood overcharging me at return. They quickly fixed this after I called customer care, but I don't appreciate having to find extra unauthorized charges on my credit card and spending time on the phone to get it fixed.

Cons:

They have double charged me. Hertz has a sleazy way of making it seem like you pay one thing but then they charge you much more later. I will not be renting through kayak again because this is a shady practice y'all are linking users up for.

Cons:

The pickup location was not even open at the time I was supposed to pick up my vehicle. Then I had to drive another 45 miles to the airport to pick up an alternative vehicle. Website information is not accurate and very poor overall experience.

Cons:

The woman who serviced us upon arrival was very rude. Especially, with the drop off. We were supposed to do a key drop off box. The place suspended that activity and never let us know. There was nowhere to leave the car and we didn't know what to do. She must have seen us from a distance since the office was closed and came over to ask about us. Her response was well today is your lucky day. not, I'm sorry for the inconvenience we should have contacted you telling you our policy has changed nothing.

Pros:

Dakota at the Laramie, Wyoming office treated me with respect, professionalism, and excellent customer service. At every step of the way during my rental period, he ensured the process ran smoothly and, when I had minor difficulties on the road, he took immediate and decisive action to ensure a swift resolution to the problem. He made the entire process enjoyable and worry free. Though the Silverado had some minor cosmetic damage, the truck preformed well above my expectations in all weather and road conditions. I highly recommend Dakota and the Laramie office, and would rent from them again in a heartbeat.

Cons:

Everything was great. There was nothing I didn't like.

I really enjoyed the value for money! Enterprise car rentals prices are just beating any other car rentals company and the cars look brand new.

Cons:

One thing I didn't like was the additional costs they charge you for everything and anything. My very first price was $50 for three days and ended up with $180!! They said I could upgrade my car for only $10 more per day which I decided to chose but if my math is good this only makes it $80 total and not $180. So I asked what was this $100 extra charge and they said it was the full insurance package that comes with the upgrade. So I told them it was way beyond my budget and told me they couldn't go below $130 which I had to pay after all. My advice to you: be very carefull when renting a car, if you need an insurance get it online when booking the car ;)

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
