Location and view from room
VERY difficult (actually impossible) to contact this hotel to confirm reservations from the US. For this reason, I would not book with this chain again. The hotel itself is very nice, considering the cost. Our room was nice, but not exceptionally clean. Still, the room's appointments were practical and the aesthetics of the room pleasing. We loved our view over the Mersey docks. Staff was courteous and helpful, but did seem to sit a lot behind the tall receiving counter, rather than standing when we approached for help. The lobby was not very attractive and we didn't use the restaurant, so I'm not able to comment on that.
The staff was great. We had a handicapped room and it was very convenient. WE especially liked the convenience and location of the hotel.
The only negative was the bed . It was very low and the mattress was very soft as to our standards. We felt that it could have used an upgradeThe location and the staff are the stars of this hotel. It is very comfortable and the only negative was a possible upgrade on the bed.
