1 It took them ages to find my booking. I have forgotten to take with me the printout with my booking details. 2 The room I was given did not have airconditioning nor a safe despite the fact that in the profile of the hotel I found in the Bookings website these were specifically mentioned features. I had to upgrade and pay approx£20 plus vat per night more in order to get a room with these features.3 The way the staff dealt with my complaint as per 2 above was not very helpful at all nor did they accept that the information they provided your website was misleading.
In need of re decoration
Hotel was clean and staff were good.
Room was very hot - window was wide open when I arrived so i'm guessing this is a common problem, it remained open throughout my stay but with it being warm outside the room was very stuffy making sleep very difficult - Room desperately needs aircon
The 50% discount on the room rate made this a good experience for a short break, my expectations would've been different if i'd've paid the full rate.
Silly price for breakfast, £17.50. Why do hotels do that. Save your money like me, by getting the same breakfast a few streets away for les than a third of the price.
The hotel is just splendid, warm and aristocratic
