Pool was out of commission, there was jack hammering going on early literally outside our balcony. Staff was not responsive to complaints. Horrible stay. Horrible staff
The rooms were beautifully appointed
The hotel was under construction which we knew and expected. That was not a problem. But the service was terrible and the service people even a bit rude, The common places were not clean and were often trashy, and overall it did not live up to the standards of the cheapest Marriott I've ever stayed at.
The customer service and the people at check in and at the hotel Overall were great .

Great access to the beach and ocean drive. Clean, great looking rooms with fantastic views. Also very attentive and professional staff! Highly recommend!
Would be nice if the recliners, towels and umbrellas on the beach were complementary to guest of the hotel. But, south beach in general is pricey.
The location is great because it's a beachfront hotel. Front desk staff is very courteous and nice.
Not the service I expected. The valet staff is not the most welcoming at all. No warm greeting or smiles at all. I was really dissatisfied with the quality of the room. I had called ahead to get a preference of room. I got a room that was on a low floor and with no city or beach view like their website states. The worst part is that this particular room has a balcony that is in the view of the next rooms balcony. Meaning that our neighbors can walk out of their room and look directly into our room. We had to keep the blinds closed the whole stay for privacy. That was the worse part. Very disappointed. Lastly there wasn't a hairdryer and housekeeping opened out door an hour before checkout time.

We were down for the Miami Boat Show, which we attend every year. I must say, through all the years we have attended, this was the cleanest, most comfortable & friendly hotel we have stayed in. The staff was great, very attentive. Cleanliness is most important for us and this place passed with flying colors. We also had our puppy with us and everyone was great with her. The newly renovated room was super cozy. The entire hotel is undergoing renovations but it wasn't even a bother. Looking forward to seeing the end result! I would stay here again.
Honestly, the only downfall was location. We were a bit farther south and A taxi ride vs walking distance from where we needed to be BUT we would totally stay here again.

This Marriott is a beautiful hotel. You walk right onto the beach. The staff is wonderful. They are attentive, friendly, courteous, and overall just genuine about wanting to please customers. This hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at when taking into consideration the overall experience (i.e. Location, staff, cleanliness, accommodations, pool area, etc)

1)I booked through booking.com for three people. When we arrived, we were told that, because we did not book through the marriott website, but we were only able to secure for us a room, regardless the number of people we had booked for. Basically,for our booking type, they only had available a king size bed. Because we were three people,we had to pay extra money to have a room with two queen size beds. This was unexpected, considering that we had booked a room for three people. 2) The concierge was not very helpful. We had a flight early in the morning, and that morning some of the streets of south beach were closed, due to a marathon. Therefore, we asked the concierge the night before to arrange for a cab for us. We were told that they could not do it, since what they normally do for guests is only waiting for a taxi on the streets, as they are so many. Due to the marathon and some of the streets blocked, our best bet would be to walk around and hope to find a cab. As the concierge was not really helpful, we contacted a private company that provides shuttle service to the airport (supershuttle). They sent us a van up to the hotel door.
