The room was clean and felt quite spacious. The best thing was the location- walkable to downtown Monterey even with small children in tow. The room had a DVD player already, plus they provided me a crib and coffee maker at no additional charge.
The only slight negative was that the wifi was not strong enough to run Netflix on my AppleTV, but the office had DVDs they lent out for free, so it solved that problem. The breakfast was mediocre, but at this price point, you can't expect gourmet. If you are looking for an affordable hotel that is within walking distance of Monterey, this is a great place to stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The water temperature changed from hot and cold throughout our showers. The location too far to walk to cannery row.I would rate it a 2 1/2 star.
rear personal patio. nice for morning reading with coffee.
coffee not available until 7am.The room had everything you needed, small fridge, micro, the bathroom vanity top was rather small but still o.k. Then to our surprise we had one of the few rooms with a personal rear enclosed porch area overlooking a quaint little creek. Nice ambiance.
