The location was convenient and the staff was professional.
The place is terribly dated and worn. The bathrooms are tiny and a mishmash of finishes. Sink was cheap! Wallpaper was peeling. Lobby is bland, worn and devoid of personality. It is a large, convention hotel that is coasting on the Fairmount reputation.
The shower was amazing, location was perfect.
Rooms were small, no cot option, room wasn't ready until nearly 5pm.

In 1971 we journeyed northward to Montreal on our honeymoon. Forty years later we journeyed again northward to Montreal and stayed at the Bonaventure. The three nights were a delight from the moment we arrived! The friendliness of the employees, the quaintness of the restaurants, the indoor-outdoor pool, the gym facilities, the view of the gardens and the cleanliness of the room make us want to tell all our friends of our experience! Thank you Hilton Montreal Bonaventure for reminding us of the many reasons why we came to Montreal for our honeymoon!
Overall our stay here was good. The rooms are well equipped with modern style. We upgraded to the Executive level which granted us access to the ''lounge'' to enjoy great appetizers and cash bar for drinks at night, and a great continental breakfast. The employees in the lounge were fantastic. But the lounge is like a closet, kind of hidden and not a place you want to hang out in for too long. Worst part about this hotel: the stairs -- and there were only 5 of them, but it really made our stay frustrating. The entire lobby/pool/restaurant area is on one floor, and all the hotel rooms are either 5 steps up, or 5 steps down. When you have a baby carriage or other wheeled device, you've got to carry them up the small flight of stairs each time you leave/return to the room. Don't use the Concierge. They were absolutely no help to me and my family, sending us to an expensive restaurant that was child-unfriendly, when I asked for a place that was loud and ok for my 9-month old to ''be he...

The location was perfect for us; mere blocks away from Place De Arts (Jazz Festival) and also only a short walk to Old Montreal. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were wonderful, the room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable. A Keurig coffeemaker was a welcome touch. We will definitely stay there again!
That our stay was so short!

The location cannot be beat, close to the Vieux Port, the Bell Centre, St. Catherine's Street, the Quartier Latin, as well as public transportation. The price is excellent. Clean, large rooms, with comfortable beds.
The breakfast was adequate, especially considering it is included, but could definitely have been better.

NO! Everything was fabulous! This boutique hotel in Montreal is quaint intimate and full of class! The beds were so comfortable I did not want to get up! The linens fantastic. This hotel is a must!
The staff was extremely accomodating and very helpful, this includes the doormen. The room was very nice and the bed also very comfortable. The location was ideal to the many metro stops and nightly entertainment. I would stay here again for sure
There was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the overall room temp was a bit warm. Our airconditioning did not seem to work properly. This was all vey minor, and didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the hotel. The doormen were wonderful, extremely helpful and very friendly. Great staff!!
