The resort was beautiful. Lots to do on site. Nice cafe for breakfast/coffee.
The resort did not honor the reservation for a two queen bed room as reserved.
The property could have been better kept. There were a few fix-it items in the rooms. The lounge chairs outside looked a little worn and dirty. It seemed like there had been a few parties that weekend but the clean up is key for all guests to enjoy. Those small touches could make all the difference.
I've stayed here for both business and leisure now and love the cleanliness and staff! Free valet is great with plenty of parking on-site.

The room was beautiful with nice decor. it was pretty specious with a king size bed and a pull out queen size sofa bed. The welcoming bottle of wine was great. The whole property was beautiful esp. with the winery facing hotel.
Our only regret was no one came to clean up our room even when the "no disturb" sign was not hanging outside the door. One cannot turn on the shower while standing outside the bathtub. As a result, one has to go inside the tub, turn on the water and stay inside the tub to wait for the water to turn warm.
Hidden charges. No coffee in room. Keys didn't work. Phone kept on ringing, front desk was calling.
The staff were very accommodating, a big thanks to Rosemarie. The room was spotless and amazing. Outside was quiet and peaceful. I wish I could've used more of their amenities.

The room was lovely. The bowling alley and pool area is very fun. The newer area was clean and nice looking. Check in was quick and easy. Bell service was fast but not well informed.
The pool area was dirty with trash apparent, the glass tables had not been cleaned from the day before and the cushions need to be replaced as they are stained and worn from use and sun exposure. We were charged two restaurant charges that were not ours. We had to make three or four calls to have it corrected. It finally was, but with no apology for the mistake, trouble, time, etc.... The older area of the hotel needs painting, the tile needs cleaning or painting, the carpet needs to be replaced and just generally needs a facelift to match the newer wing. The hot tub was not hot.
The spa was beautiful and the wine tasting with chocolate was great.
Excitement turned to dread when we rolled in and it was off of Corporate Way, there is no place within walking distance and it feels very much like a corporate event space. We got engaged a couple days before and this was not the atmosphere we were looking for! At least I got the stuff done at the DMV that I needed to do that is a few blocks away...
staff was incredibly friendly breakfast was fantastic lots of drink options at the sports bar morning breeze came through balcony and made for a very relaxing morning coffee they have bowling alleys and shuffleboard!
patronage wasn't what I'd expect from a $400/night hotel loud and unruly "first time I've ever had a beer" group killed the mood adults only pool was full of kids, weird
The staff was very friendly and room service delivered very promptly when I ordered a late night snack. And right on time for morning breakfast. Tasting room and it's staff were wonderful and knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and we'll taken care of. Shuttle service was always on time and very quick when called to pick up. Bathrooms were very large. Bed super comfy. Will definitely return
We got a ground floor room. :( originally booked is for a 2 bed room which was unnecessary since it was just my girlfriend and I. But they changed it no problem just had to settle for ground floor. Not much they can do about that I suppose. Only other thing I would change is make it a no kid zone. Your kids don't need to come to Napa anyway, Napa is for adults. Leave them with grandma
The resort and grounds are beautiful and the service was excellent no matter where ranging from getting coffee downstairs, the bar, maintenance ( our keys would not work so the entire lock needed to be replaced) and concierge. Highly recommend the Meritage !! I would return every year if I could.
This is not a complaint ~ but we found that it took a long time for water (faucet and shower) to heat.

The noise level was very high. I stayed on the 2nd floor and ther person right above me sounded like they were doing laps in the room. Had to complain to the front desk, but the noise never stoped. Not going to stay here again.
The lounge costs money to play bowling - $20 per person for an hour, $15 an hour for shuffle board and pool. This should be included not extra for guests staying at the resort. They should charge people who aren't staying at the resort.
The rooms here were, for the most part, clean and nice. The staff was friendly, and overall it was a good experience. We had to ask for new sheets because the ones we had were noticeably dirty when we arrived. It is not within walking distance to downtown, but it is only a quick drive away. For the price I received through Kayak, it was worth it.

We requested 2 beds and they gave me a king with a sofa. THAT was very uncomfortable.
I loved the location. The resort and grounds are beautiful. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I tried all the restaurants and the bar and the both food and service was fantastic.
My room had a partial view of the parking lot and the vineyard. It was on the corner on the second floor. It must have been near where the employees checked in or where room service was delivered out off because every few minutes I would hear a cart being pushed and people talking. This went on day and night. Also, the walls are paper thin. I could hear toilets flushing and the guests next door to me kids getting up early in the morning. However, it is a hotel and these things can't be controlled. Next time i will request a 3rd floor room .
I had specifically booked a room with two queen beds and a hillside view, but received a room with a king bed and courtyard view. The hotel did not provide body lotion. The first day I thought it was an oversight, but on the second day they replenished the shampoo and soap, but still no lotion. Very long wait for valet parking at 10:30am. About 45 min. Chose to self park the next day.
