This hotel is about 2 blocks from the 79th street #1 line subway stop and 3 blocks from Central Park which was a key factor for me. The rooms are tiny but all I did was sleep and shower so I didn't need too much room. Staff was also pleasant.
It could use some TLC in updating the decor/carpets/painting the walls. Just a few superficial touches but regardless, I plan on staying here again. This was the perfect hotel for my budget. It felt safe (surrounded by young families, churches, and schools), off the subway line, close to Central Park and plenty of restaurant/shopping options. I have already recommended it to several friends that, like me, go to NYC to the enjoy the city and aren't high maintenance.
The room was fairly clean, and the staff were helpful and got us in quickly.
The room was very small and cramped. The beds were smaller than twin size, and the shower was almost unusably small. However for the price and location it wasn't bad.If you just need a place to sleep and don't care at all about amenities of any kind, this should work fine for you.
how small the room was they said suite but is was tiny with bathroom between our 2 roomsOK
