The hotel needs major update.
The kaoroke bar was very loud and lasted until 2am
Karaoke and location
The music was not as loud as expected, but there was an argument from one of the rooms above. It took staff and police a long while to calm the ridiculous situation over an hour to control.
Location and staff were nice.
Noise level way too high. Parking was a problem. Pool sucked.
It's freezing cold in the room, free breakfast should be included.
the location was perfect for our needs
there was nothing that I didn't like. We had a plumbing problem in our room on the third day and it was addressed immediately by staff. By time we returned to the room, the problem had been fixed. Retro bath fixtures, needs update, but clean comfortable
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Close to all attractions and border crossing.
I did not like the very loud karaoke bar in the centre of the complex which was open till 2am, it really made sleeping very difficult at night. The room was tidy upon arrival but not 'clean'. The mirror has leftovers from the previous guests.
Location on Clifton hill
old décor, staff not friendly, bedding felt wet
The best thing about the hotel was the location. It was on the main street where most of the stores and activity is.
The hotel is located in the same space as the karaoke beer garden that was open until 2:00am. In the advertising the hotel this is never mentioned. Then you have to sign the reservation when you check in stating you know there's karaoke all night.
Carpet need cleaning
The room was ok for the amount of money I spent. The only major issue I had was that there was a Karokee bar located right next to the hotel & the music could be heard all night long.
Hotel was alright and for a Saturday night, decent price. The outdoor bar looked cool but was closed due to rain. The water pressure was bad in the shower, went from cold to hot at random. No soap holders in bathroom so bars of soap would fly everywhere haha. TV remote didn't work, and room had extension cords ran through it. Overall i would stay there again though, like i said good price and excellent location right in the middle of Clifton hill.
Very omfortable and great location for all activities. My children 15 & 11 loved it didnt want to leave.
I don't understand why people are upset that there is a karyoke bar in the parking lot. It was a lot of fun. The website informs you of that when you book your room. There is no surprise. I will definitely be back to this hotel. We had a great time.
My sister and i had a nice stay, but if we had small kids it would have been a nightmare. When I went to the front desk to check in, I had to sign a waiver stating that I knew that there was an OPEN AIR Karaoke bar in the parking lot, that was open til 2:30 am! We didn't have much of an issue with this, but if this had been a family trip, and my kids were younger, it most definitely WOULD have been a problem. The room wasn't bad, it was clean, with ample towels and standard amenities, just your normal motel room, the restaurant adjacent was good, and it was nice having coupons for $$ off each breakfast. The property is in a GREAT location, right on Clifton Hill, which ia exactly what we were looking for. I just think there should be a ''warning'' of sorts that if you are older, have little ones, or like to turn in early, that this may not be the place for you. People who have a few beers tend to forget that they maybe can't sing as well as they THINK they can- although, that was kind of entertaining, as well. Also worth noting is the fact that we felt secure and safe here, and it was a pretty short walk to the casino, and attractions, so we could leave the car parked, and walk to our destinations.
Very old and dated hotel. Very basic. Somewhat clean. The only + to this hotel is the parking - great location, short walking distance to nearly everything! One minor alert - right next to the hotel is a kareoke bar with loud music / singing until 2-3am in the morning. Didn't really bug us as we got in late, but if your looking to sleep during these times - forget it!
We had the perfect room and very good vaue fo the money. Walking distance from everything
