Car Rental

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, and Sixt each are located within Terminal 1. Passengers flying into the other terminals will need to take the free airport shuttle to reach Terminal 1. Rental cars do cost more than public transportation, but they are usually a necessity for tourists who plan to do some sightseeing outside of Paris.

Public/Ground Transfer

Roissy Bus travels every fifteen minutes between 6am and 7pm and then every twenty minutes from 7pm to 11pm between all three airport terminals and Paris. The bus ride takes a little under an hour and costs approximately $11.50 one-way.

RER's bus line leaves CDG airport every fifteen minutes and makes stops at Gare de Nord, Chatelet Les Halles and Denfert-Rochereau. This bus leaves from Terminal 2 and takes up to 45 minutes to reach the final stop on the line. Tickets cost $11 for adults and $7.85 for children ages four to ten. Children under the age of four travel free with an adult.

The TGV High Speed Train also travels directly from the Charles de Gaulle International Airport to certain French towns and Paris. Fares vary depending on the destination, but generally prices are low and this is the most convenient form of public transportation because it is fast and accessible from Terminal 2. Trains leave every fifteen minutes from 5:30am to 11:30pm and require about half an hour to reach Gare de Nord.

Airport Shuttles

A number of airport shuttle buses run between all three terminals at Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle International Airport. These buses are free. Those needing shuttle bus service to areas outside of the airport must higher a rental van which does come at a higher price, but for large groups it can be the easiest mode of transportation.

Limousine Services

There is no doubt that limousine services are the most luxurious transportation option, they are also the most costly. Limousine service does provide passengers with fast, private travel and plenty of legroom. Prices, however, tend to average $232 for transportation into the city or $275 to EuroDisney. Limousines must be booked in advance and then they will pick travelers up at the appropriate terminal.

Taxi Services

Taxis are located outside of teach terminal at CDG. Those seeking taxis should go through exit 20 in Terminal 1's arrivals area. Terminals 2A and 2C should pass through exit 6. Terminals 2B and 2D go through exit 7. Terminal 2E and 2F go through exit 1. Those flying into Terminal 3 should use the exit near the arrivals hallway. A trip into Paris or to Paris-Orly Airport costs around $68. From 7pm to 7am, on Sundays, or on major holidays, a 15% surcharge is added to the passenger's fare. Taxi G7 is one company who can easily transport disabled passengers.
