Clean, good location, friendly staff, just what you need.
Just what you need - a place to sleep and shower, not a very big hotel room. It's a pretty old hotel but it's charming. I recommend it if you're okay with the hotel being a little older.
Def recommend people staying here
Breakfast can be improved
Yes, a lot - see below where I have more space to write. The rooms are ridiculously small, there was a bad smell in the hallways, stained carpet, stained shower stall, leaky faucet, noisy fridge. The dining room is old. Breakfast consisted of danishes and muffins, all junk food. Extremely old, outdated furnishings, subpar mattresses. You get what you pay for. Try mounting the lamps on the wall instead of having large lamps on a tiny nightstand, no room for anything else. Too much furniture for such a small room. Made it even more cramped. The bathroom is so small that when you sit on the toilet, your knees are under the half sink mounted to the wall in front of you. Zero counters in the bathroom left nowhere to put your toiletries.
Good location, good price. Price is right for the hotel quality, good place to stay on a budget. It's connected to a good bar, which is convenient for a nightcap.
Heating in the room was sporadic, had a couple cold nights with thin blankets. The continental breakfast was rather poor, but that's about par as far as continental breakfasts go. The shower didn't drain well, which was annoying.A decent hotel for the price. Location is good, within walking distance to many places. The room was clean, they have a good cleaning staff. Hotel is connected to a decent bar, which is convenient. The room heating was sporadic and the shower didn't drain well, which was very annoying.
Bathroom need to be updated. A. $5 shower head would be better then the 1960's one they have the water dropped out.
The price and the staff were really great! Staff is nice and willing to answer questions if possible. The housekeeping staff and Front Desk Staff were super helpful!
It is a little dated, but I was not expecting the Ritz!If you are young like me and on a budget, and you really don't care about fancy sheets and foofoo surroundings, this is a great location. My buddy and I went in for a great place to sleep and shower while we did a few nights out in SF! We got two keys, two beds, and some great service! Total in-room time was about 12 hours for two days and we had a great time! I would stay there again for sure!!!
No muss no fuss. No incidental fees and the honor system with the bar in the room. Staff is always kind and considerateA great deal, great area. nice staff
The Beresford is in a great location. Walking distance to Moscone Center and other great restaurants and shops.
It would be nice if they had internet connection and/or wifi in the rooms! This was a nice place to stay on my business trip to Dreamforce 2013...when I come back next year, I'll stay at the Beresford. The staff was very nice and very helpful.
The location and the staff, also the price!
The windows leading out to sutter street were not very good with sound. People on the street were shouting and yelling at 2am and this woke us up. We were also by the elevator, which was going all night and it kept waking us up.
