Lack cleanliness, it felt unsafe and scary being there, the place look so run down. The share bathroom had no toilet and towel papers. The curtain was didn't cover the window well n people could see into bedroom. The lock on door was complicated.I would not stay there if I was a woman or had a child w me. The place smell like marijuana was being use.
the room without bathroom, what? too loud during night (strip club downstair)if you only want a place to stay for the night (from midnight) and have money issue, then go for it.
the room was small with dirty sheets. The shared bathroom's sink had no hot water. The carpet was clearly dirty. The walled-in closet was tiny with rud down wallpaper.stay away!
This hotel is perfect for a night on the town. We come here every year for new years. The Europa is in a very busy part of The City with a short walk down to either Market or the Embaradero.
This hotel is falling apart.People who give this place a bad review have never found a place in this part of The City for less. It is the cheapest place around and being in a great part of The City it is worth the low price. The rooms are a good size and have a fridge and tv. The rooms look like they were pieced together with different moldings and sections of plumbing. It is an old building that has never properly been renovated. My room floor wasn't even level. The whole building is clean but thrashed. Patched walls do not match textures or paint tones. Exterior plumbing runs throughout rooms and ceilings. This is not where you would bring a first date. Unless she is one of the many hookers down the block. It is not a great place for young kids or elderly vi...
The price is right. Clean and safe.
$10 foir a visitor doesn't help my social Life much...ALL in All a clean and safe place to crash.
I liked that it motivated me to not stay there for any amount of time longer than absolutely necessary
It's hard to pinpoint, but the cigarette smoke, the exposed wires, the consistently disgusting toilets, the creaking floors, the terrible bed, the window that barely closed and the lack of parking were the worst parts about staying here.
The location and prices can't be beat. It could be a bit cleaner, but they are going through a remodel. Staff was helpful.
Bathrooms are shared. One out of the two toilets did not work.Excellent location. Hotel is being remodeled so, a bit noisy at times. Comfortable bed. Price can't be beat. Good night's sleep. Hot water.
The only decent thing to say about this hotel is that it's close to quite a few attractions.
In a sense, everything. Rooms had bugs in it, unfriendly hotel staff, oh and no parking lot, so plan on paying an additional $40 for your car for the night. Rooms were all slanted.. better off finding a large box and sleeping in the alley. The hotel was fairly busy, meaning that they have a steady income flow, my suggestion is to reinvest. The poor overall quality, and disregard for cleanliness is immediately reflected in the employees general attitude towards guests as you check in. After a lengthy battle to find a nearby parking lot, which incidentally doubles your nightly rate, you check in to a room and flip the light switch on only to watch cockroaches scatter. The hotels idea of air conditioning, an open window, serves a double purpose as an easy break in point for any thieves interested in raiding your room while you're out visiting the city. I belie...
LOCATION is prime!
Strip clubs next door, but noise is not bothersome and the people in area are friendly & safe. You get what you pay for - safe, cheap, convenient, simple, clean place to stay in the heart of San Francisco. If you can spend more than XXX-XXX/night(for 2 people) then stay somewhere a little nicer. But if all you need is a safe and cheap place to stay, that is in the center of the nightlife & culture...this place provides just that. The bathrooms are shared, but I never once waited for a shower or toilet. The room had a window, tv, frige, microwave, and walk-in closet. I stayed with my boyfriend (26yrold couple) and we loved being able to walk to all the bars/shops/restaurants/BART whether it was day/night. In North Beach, 1 block from Chinatown, 15 minute walk to fisherman's wharf or BART. PERFECT location for backpackers, students, or low-budget travelers who want to experience the nightlife and city culture. GREAT pizza p...
