my room (including the bathroom which, although it is shared and pretty small, was in great condition) where extremely well taken care of. no stains, smells, or complaints otherwise. sink in the room we rented was very helpful as well.our room was very clean, with good lighting. the entire hotel seemed to be very well looked after and maintained, and the woman who helped us check in had a great sense of humor (this goes for the older gentleman who helped us check out as well). I had had a very long day at work and then drove 2+ hours to get to the city and probably came off as very frustrated, but they handled it well, where very kind and understanding, and made me laugh/ fed me candy while they where at it. Fantastic hotel! I would love to stay here again.
"Like a European pension, this amazingly reasonable find is surrounded by Hayes Valley shops and has simple, small rooms with shared bathrooms, a cocker spaniel panting in the parlor and staff who want to mother you. Many guests are long-term, repeat visitors. This is a good place to stay if you’re looking for an apartment." read more on Lonely Planet
