Great reception staff, personable, professional and friendly. Perfect location accessible to shops and restaurants!
helpful staff, comfortable bed, delightful modern decor.
I specifically booked to take use of the swimming pool. but upon arrival to check-in I was informed that the pool was under construction and not available.
I loved the service. The staff were great. It was a bit quieter than expected too. Nice, expensive, but nice.
The room was older looking than I expected. I thought for the price of the room everything would be new. A little disappointing, but didn't change our plans. I didn't like paying $50.00 per day for parking in addition to the room rate.
Excellent food and bar, outstanding fitness center (even without the pool), stunning interior design
wifi was poor. staff was sitting on Christmas mail that was sent to us from our family for four days until we finally got them on the day of our departure. this was a classical of who is in charge.
Room was very comfortable with everything in great shape. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Bar a bit eclectic, but had a great old fashioned.
This part of the city sadly has many, many homeless people around. Also, some shady characters.
**keep in mind, review is for guests who didn't park at all** Shower is by far the best of the hotels I have stayed at. The room was clean (but small, true to San Fran /Japanese style). Bed was also very comfortable. TV was small (~42 inches) but had a nice stand that could be angled alnost 180 degrees. Cleaning staff was very thorough and even organized our toilet trees for us that we left on the sink (I thought this was cool, others may see it differently). Overall clean and fancy facilities, nice staff. Good location in reference to Union Square.
We witnessed someone getting beat up by at least 4 individuals in an ally right across the street from the hotel. We still didn't feel unsafe in the hotel or around San Francisco, but maybe we should have? Other hotels wouldn't be immune to this problem either (to my best estimate). $6 waters in the room. No prices in the gift shop (yes I can afford it, but maybe I don't get the chips for $2.5 and just go for the $3.50 water instead or go to Starbucks that is attached to the hotel for $2 waters).
Everything was great !!
Location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, great shower and toiletries
Suggest vanity mirror in bathroom as counter is very deep so difficult to apply make up. Restaurant was disappointing. Expensive for tiny salmon portion. Dessert still had bits of foil on it so assume it was of industrial variety.
My stay was really relaxing and quiet. I also liked that it was in Union Square. The room also included everything we needed and a tablet for use.
The movie rentals were expensive and did not have many options. It would have been nice if the rooms included a Blu Ray player.
Location is convenient
This is not an inexpensive hotel yet we were asked to pay 25$ to use the gym and pool. I find this ridiculous since we were only going to use it for 1 hour. The hotel is poorly unkept and it's very visibly run down. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I wouldn't stay here again because it's not worth the expense.
Comfortable and clean
Having a city view room and being on the 6th floor. Overlooking a rooftop. Being put on the sixth floor and being asked if I would like an upgrade.
clean, comfortable, central location
wifi too slow to do work
Understaffed and overwhelmed registration desk
Beds are comfortable
Funny smell on the covers
