World renowned, The Fairmont Hotel presents an awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco. The grandeur of the fully restored hotel coupled with its reputation for impeccable service promises a truly memorable experience. Central to the Financial District, Union Square and Fishermans Wharf, the Fairmont Hotel is located at the only spot in San Francisco where each of the Citys cable car lines meet.
The staff was both professional and warm. The room was immaculate, the view breathtaking, and the beds are phenomenally comfortable. A truly memorable stay.
If you are looking for something sleek and modern this is not your hotel. Food and drinks in the hotel itself are not good value, especially given the wealth of foodie options in SF.
View, room, service
Wonderful time here no bad experiences
Totally preference but the beds are too soft and frankly the food is over priced for the quality. It's clear the food has not been under a real chefs direction for a while but these are relatively minor complaints
However, I was very surprised that the ice maker on our floor did not work, and there was a chocolate wrapper on a table by the elevator for our three day stay??? With all that opulence, did not get that???
The fairmont has maintained the old style luxury without cutting corners. Fantastic staff, location and NO TOUR BUSSES!!
Wonderful facilities and staff
Room and bed were awesome. Check-in staff were very accommodating. Beautiful hotel.
Room was beautiful and staff was exceptionally courteous and professional. The hotel with its blend of the historic and modern updates truly feels luxurious in a way that you don't find in most modern hotels.
Great views of SF.
When we got there, the hotel did not have any record of our reservation and they said they were fully booked. We showed them our confirmation from Kayak, and the staff took about 30-60minutes to sort it all out. While they were on the phone, we had lunch in the hotel. They came back and found us a room, and gave us free drinks for the hassle.
The Fairmont sf is a beautiful hotel, full of kindness, care, luxury, and history. It has that special, European, feeling.
$8.00 for bottled water. :/
This hotel is "top drawer" all the way!
hotel interior, location and very friendly staff
Staff, cleanliness, bed, space, decor
Single windows. Double windows would be more appropriate if not to reduce energy use, but particularly to cut efficiently the outside noise.
Location excellent for city hotel. Staff very helpful and room excellent.
