Bed was not very comfortable, rooms were small, AC was bad and could not be adjusted after a point, bathroom light kept flickering, expensive parking, included breakfast was of a poor quality, no bathtub in the bathroom.
no air conditioning
Friendly staff, wine tasting on Tuesday. Not fancy but clean comfortable little rooms. Convenient location to Mel's Dinner.
The staff was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is connected to Mel's Diner which was a great perk. The continental breakfast had a decent amount of options and was filling. The 47 line of the MUNI Bus is conveniently located at the end of the block and takes you directly to Fisherman's Wharf. The same line across the street from the hotel takes you directly to AT&T Park - two places we went to on our stay, so we were happy not to have to drive around. Lombard Street is also a walkable mile and a half away. The nightly cost was affordable.
The neighborhood didn't seem to be the best. I didn't feel unsafe, but it wasn't the poshest of areas. It's a little bit of a hike from most of the touristy places, but if you're okay with using public transportation it's not too bad. The beds are due for an upgrade, but not totally uncomfortable. While there is free Wi-Fi, it's a bit glitchy and only worked some of the time. The fitness room is small and the only treadmill was broken, which is what I intended to use.
Price a little cheap
They said they have internet but not, bad attitude,
Breakfast was ok Parking Garage convenient but very very overpriced
Hotel Staff had attitude from the beginning when checking in Checked in and saw the room, would not be a bad room if updated and clean I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the worst including 2 star hotels that I have stayed at. The carpet had who-knows-what stains in front of the bed and bathroom the bathroom was smaller than any average bathroom the crown molding along the ceiling was even lopsided and parts of it were 3-4" lower than others felt very unclean and gross terrible terrible location, located right near a red light district The only dining is for a mel's drive in diner that offers cheap american food. Would be expected at a cheap hotel or motel not a hotel you spend 290 dollars per night
Walking distance to whole foods, next door to mels diner, eleven o one sandwich shop on Polk the best pulled pork sandwich ever! great American music hall a block away movie theaters next door, 10 min walk to London square. comfy beds and good housekeepers.
can't think.of anything
The room was nice.
It was so loud in my room all night long, I couldn't get a good nights rest. It was like they were rolling around dumpsters right under me all night long.
Staff was the highlight. The girl taking care of the breakfast was friendly and very attentive. She was great. Beyond the staff it missed at many levels.
Beds are horrible. I chose the location so I won't complain but not much around the hotel. Biggest issue was we found a roach in our room. That was pretty gross. This was a prime example of you pay for what you get. But the staff was great.
Smelled bad and was in a pretty seedy area
staff was helpful-but could only provide basic service. great to have continental breakfast bc there is nothing around there to jump over to eat -except one diner-but very very basic -and they seemed overwhelmed with amount of ppl using breakfast feature...one of the main things i look for when booking...clean big room felt safe
you have to pay extra for everything --went to go see if could print out boarding passes..the computer cost $5 for use....finally the front desk offered to do it nothing around to eat ...far away from bart station...buses are close though...had to 7-8 to union square...to civic center ..just inconvenient to fun activities...too many ppl and not enough food or variety in morn...
