Business, Other Amenities
The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
The staff, location, all.
Clean, comfortable, convienient, and the price was right.
Bad staff. Holes in bathroom door. Mold on bathroom. Room shakes whenever someone open or closes door.
Owner was friendly. Location was quiet and safe. Room was well maintained.
This is more of a tip: avoid late check-in because you might have to wait up the owner
It's a older motel that has undergone a few renovations, The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. The price was right for the area.
Never was able to get the TV to work.
The hot water in the sink did not work. When the shower in the unit upstairs was operated, it caused dirty water to back up in my sink. The owner apologized but only very reluctantly conceded that I wasn't getting what I paid for. He returned $10 to me.
Room was basic but spacious. Room and grounds were extremely clean and well-cared for. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!
E um hotelnpra dormir e sumir não da p ficar mais q uma noite ? E limpo confortável mas tem cara de motel de beira de estrada
This place is within easy walking distance to downtown and several decent restaurants. Although older, everything in the room worked okay.
The guy running the desk was fine registering us and taking our money but after that he avoided us whenever we tried to get assistance e.g unworkable cable TV which we ended-up fixing ourselves. The walkway carpet was old and torn and needed replacement.
Overall quiet and the room had a refrigerator
Nobody at the front desk at 11 pm. Had to wait for someone to put pants on (literally) to let us check in. It's a small family owned 17 room hotel so i can understand it.
Located in a great location and near shops within walking distance
Rooms need updating. Old and room had odor. Shower floor dirty. Spider webs on walls. Stairs have duct tape on them.
There was a large hole on the wall in my room. The coffee maker was dirty.
The staff was incredibly nice even though we were checking in really late at night.
The bathroom would need a little makeover, but it was OK :)
Mold in the shower. Bathroom lights did not work. Very dirty and dusty around windows and microwave. Old food left in refrigerator. Stayed 2 nights and room was not made up for second day. Took and did not replace towels.
A spacious room with king bed and mini refrigerator. A newer neo-angle shower and pedestal sink in bath. Clean floors, nice sheets, and plenty of towels. Mattress was very comfortable. Overall, a good value and a well run motel.
The carpet needed updating, but it was very clean, and did not have any holes. This is an older structure, and there is some noise from showers, doors closing, and foot traffic overhead. But these sounds are not loud enough to disrupt your sleep.
Run down and old; not too clean
The hotel has been update with a bright welcoming color scheme on the outside and it is obvious that they are in the process of updating the rooms as well.
Location. It was 5 minutes from Cal Poly where my convention was being held and was an easy walk from down town SLO
It was old and needed paint, carpet, and other things that were mainly cosmetic. It did not have enough outlets and they were poorly placed.
You rate this as a 2 star hotel and say that similar ones are Comfort Inn, Best Western, Ramada Inn, Holiday Inn, Homestead Studios, and La Quinta Inn. This is a lie. Carpet had burn holes, was not stretched, upholstery on chairs was stained.
cleanliness and location
leaking faucets and problem toilet
After reading all the negative reviews, I was nervous. I Found the staff very friendly, the room nice and big, the bed very comfy. Bathroom had a nice shower too.
Room lacked pictures to make it cozier, but size was nice and made up for it. The was a smoker next to us in the non-smoking area that gave us dirty looks when my daughter commented about it, but that's not the fault of the motel.
The hotel did not align with the comparable hotels of same star ratings. The bed was very uncomfortable. Noisy.
Nice high ceiling
Outside carpet held together with duct tape. Inside carpet was ancient. Only 2 flat pillows.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME WONDERFUL LOCATION. WE WENT FOR A BIKE RIDE AROUND SAN LUIS OBISPO, BEAUTIFUL TOWN. I WOULD LOVE TO STAY AGAIN AT THE VILLA MOTEL!
I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE. THE MOTEL WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED FOR ONLY 2 STARS.
The language Barrier.
Decent price compared to surrounding hotels
Room was underwhelming. TV and furniture had to be 20 years old. Walls needed re-patching and painting.
The price was *okay, everything was clean inside the decently spacious hotel room.
The TV remote didn't work, pizza boxes were left on the outside walkway, and everything was a bit frayed around the edges. Nothing too bad, though
Not a two star property !! Lucky to get 1. Very disappointed in priceline on this one and several as of late? Are the good ones no longer participating?
There is not much to like, but the location is good. This is the biggest dump I have ever stayed in, worse than a Motel 6, but, in comparison to other cheap hotels like Super 8, the towels were newer / more plush and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
This place is a filthy dump. The walls and furniture are disgustingly filthy, not just marred and black but there are blood stains on the walls. The carpet is so filthy, I would not step on it without socks. Bedspread is threadbare and gross.
There are several 2 star type hotels next to this one. All are older properties, but well kept and affordable. You can walk approx. 1/2 mile to downtown area, very nice.
Not really, I expected an older property. It was clean.
Dpak was super nice and addressed things like keys not working with a cheery smile.
The carpet needs to be replaced.
I liked that the hotel was very close to downtown and was in a safe area. There was lots of parking available and it was close to some restaurants and shops, so I could walk to them if I wanted too.
They have old outlets and they are hidden. I think that they need to upgrade their outlets so that you can plug in a computer and/or add extension cords so that you can sit at the table with something plugged in.
Nothing. It is rated as a 2 star hotel when in fact it is a 1 star hotel.
Creepy place, poor beds, noisy guests, thin walls, creepy people loitering in the parking lot looking shady as hell.
Kitchenette table 2 chairs frig and micro NICE
Super friendly staff and a really good overall vibe.
New door and lock New door and lock
Dusty, bed off frame that was fixed. Bad plaster and holes in wall, lamp hanging off wall, electric outlet covered with tape, rusty metal, shower door wouldn't close, carpet so ripply you could trip on it. Very noisy.
The bathroom is old. I didn't stay overnight . Bad experience
I asked for two beds and he said was sold out but then said that he could give me a room with two bed for twenty dollar more a night so am extra forty dollars
The staff was courteous and friendly, went to extra lengths to make sure we had everything we needed.
It is old, but clean, average decor. For the price I think we would like to try another hotel with more up to date features such as a pool, free breakfast etc. We give them A for effort. There was a lack of hot water, it was tepid.
The location was good and the owner was nice
PriceLine said I was getting a Hotel and put me in a Motel! It was old and out dated! The shower was really small
The toilet leaked and flooded the bathroom - the owners must have known about the problem as they had turned the water valve off - we had to turn it on. So, why put us in that room?
Price and clean.
When I stated one more night the administrator tried to raise the pricexxx per night.
This was the worst 'hotel' I have ever experienced through Priceline. You should be ashamed for even offering this motel. Old man at front desk could hardly speak English.
There was a surprising amount of space in the room- very high ceilings (we were on the second floor) and this allowed for a feeling of expansion and ease for the whole stay.
The smoke alarm was beeping when we got there- dying battery. Brought it to the day man to have him change it, and this was not done.
Quiet location is about the only plus of this place.
No warning on the fact there was no parking lot available due to new parking lot being poured. That was unsatisfactory.
The parking lot was under construction we had to park on dirt and gravel. Husband in wheelchair it was very difficult to get to our room
Room is clean
Very low end motel
incompetentt staff, dirty old rooms just oaited over. advertised pool wos filled in with dirt.
I reserved room for 2 adults to stay a few hours so we can check in around 11 pm and leave around 8 am on our way home from San Francisco to Orange County. We called earlier around 4 pm to see if we can get a room with 2 queens as most hotels will allow y
When it was time to check out,in fact earlier. The only good thing was that it was close to the Apple Farm.
The advertisement was misleading. On Price line the hotel rooms we have gotten,we saved money off the original price,. This one misquoted,we paid more money ,then found on site listed. We were very disappointed in priceline, now thinking of using hotwire.
