All rooms faced a central court. All rooms doors were outside in the elements. There was sb\now on the walks. I had to walk by trash bins to get to the outside staircase to my room. The hotel/motel must have been built in the 50/60's and it showed.
Yes, I'm driving all day from Wisconsin to Ohio after my mom's funeral and the Knight's Inn could not provide me a room to sleep after driving all day in a snowstorm. The lady at the desk couldn't even help me find a hotel nearby since I was unfamiliar wiTh the town. Then a company called booking.com asks me to provide a screenshot of my bank statement so that they can refund me the difference. Instead they keep sending the same re-request until I get so frustrated that I feel like I have no choice but to tell them my money is not worth it. I feel like I'm in a bad spot since they won't refund after all the inconvenience. It's a matter of $15-ish and instead you want to lose me as a customer.
Won this hotel doing Priceline negotiater. Not a hotel I would have normally chose, but for the price it was well worth it. Imloved the area, not a busy area, but major attractions less than 5 miles.. Lots of easy 'to go' complimentary breakfast!
Only an outdoor pool, so we didn't get to enjoy it. Walls were a little thin, and this is a cheaper extended stay hotel, so I could hear our neighbors all night long. They got us checked in very early, although they were booked solid. House keeper was very sweet. Good deal for the price..
I liked NOTHING about this Hotel.
First of all NOT a two star Hotel. It was a 1 star Motel. I was on the first floor but heard every movement from the people above me. I heard conversations in the room next to me. The bedding had yellow stains on the sheets. Bed/table/chairs OLD!
It was cleaner than I had expected. They had an abundance of cable channels which I really appreciated.
It was a 'residential hotel'. You had to go outside to a different building to get ice. This was an emergency situation. I was having vehicle trouble at night in a blizzard. I didn't have time to explore all the options Priceline had to offer so I took the closest one that had a customer rating of 7. I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. The room could have used a paint job and the bathroom was extremely small. The heater was great. It didn't blow under the drapes like so many do. I inspected the bed thoroughly for bugs, there were none. The bed was not one you would find in a 3 star hotel but it was comfortable enough. For the price I paid, I felt I got a great deal. I even stayed another night.
Pleasant staff, large room, very low-priced.
The smell of the room was awful. Strong smell from years-old tobacco smoke. It permeated my clothes; I went through my conference smelling like a hobo. When I returned home I had to have my wool overcoat dry-cleaned. Absolutely disgusting smell. There is no way to clean old tobacco smoke from a room. The hotel owners need to prime and paint the walls and probably replace the carpets. I stayed at this hotel on my last 2 trips to Sandusky and did not have this problem; I suppose some rooms are worse than others. I'll never stay here again though.
We were given a king bed with pull out but 2 doubles worked better. The clerk at the desk moved us immediately and was very friendly and accommodating.
Room smelled musty. Breakfast was served in a screened in pavilion. The temperature was in the 40s. We carried our breakfast back to the room.
Close to Cedar Point
The water temperature change frequently throughout the shower. There was no fan in the bathroom which made the bathroom super hot after a shower. Smelled funny when we first got there. For the price and location it was great! Able to fit three people comfortably with 2 double beds. Breakfast was alright. We only had 2 mornings at the hotel. I would definitely stay again.
