We enjoyed our spacious suite (we had our son along with us), the clean room and amenities, the delicious breakfasts--made to order!--the pool, hot tub, rental bikes and grounds. It's a bit pricey for us, but that's because of the area. We hope that we can return.
Close to UCSB campus, nice facility, good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Like a typical guy I waited to the last minute to book our anniversary hotel reservations. Not only did Pacifica Suites have a reasonably priced room on a beautiful property, they had an exceptional complimentary breakfast feast cooked to order! The staff was curteous and accommodating. When I mentioned the occastion, it was no problem to arrange a bottle of champagne, on the house!
Inside: Our suite was very comfortable and roomy, also the decor was appealing. We had free Wi-Fi and the connection was flawless. I enjoyed having two nice televisions, one in each room. Outside: The grounds were lovely. The pool was average size and very clean. The breakfast was very good quality and quantity and so convenient. The wine, cheese and cracker reception was a real plus; good quality wines and soda for my underage son. The price is a bit high given that it is more in Goleta than Santa Barbara and, as said by someone else, off the beaten track. However, it is close to I-101 yet the freeway can not be heard. Nor could I hear the airport which is a short drive away. The first person I dealt with initially was unfriendly as I hoped to check in early. However when I returned at 3pm, the staff servicing me was excellent. All staff after that first interaction was excellent. If my travels took me back to Santa Barbara, and price and location was not an issue, then I would certainly stay here again. I have and will continue to recommend the Pacifica Suites Santa Barbara to others.
Went wine tasting and reserved rooms at Pacifica Suites for ourselves and another family. Rooms were nice, well kept and the place was very quite. Was a little pricey but the out of the beaten path, well kept rooms, nice staff and quiet location was worth the stay.
I have stayed in these suites numerous times and finally have decided to write a review! I love this place. It is quiet, the staff is friendly and the services are great. The rooms and pool and hot tub are clean. The breakfast is cooked to order and is delicious! The cooks do a great job. The rooms are large and private. I just love it here and the price is very good for the SB area. I would recommend this place to anyone! It is close to the freeway, so I would suggest requesting a room on the opposite side of the freeway. You cannot hear any traffic on that side. It is very convient for accessing anywhere you need to go in SB.
Other reviews seem nit-picky. Overall, the hotel is excellent for the price. A no-kitchen 1 bedroom suite with breakfast for this rate is good for Santa Barbara. Location is next to the freeway but it did not bother us. If you are visiting UCSB, this is literally 5 minutes from campus...not walking distance but an easy drive over there. Fresh cookies at the front desk are a nice touch.
The staff was not unfriendly, but not particularly helpful. We tried calling the front desk on numerous occasions but no one ever answered. The beds were uncomfortable and the towel my husband was using disintegrated all over his head, leaving white fibers everywhere. The lobby is attractive but there is no information whatsoever on local attractions.
Rooms are not as large as they appearin photos. I asked someone at the front desk if they could call me a taxi to go into town. I also asked how much I should expect to pay. I was told $10 maximum. I went to the lobby at the time I requested and they forgot to call the taxi. When the taxi did arrive my total into town was $22. Big difference.
Large, clean, quiet, updated two-room on highway side of hotel. Breakfast okay, but considering the area, hotel really should have better wines at happy hour (horrible). Several pet friendly rooms available. Overall- decent value
