The toilet was running all night and the walls were so thin we could hear the footsteps and voices of people above us starting at 6am. The beds sheets and blankets were like cardboard. It doesn't seem like they have been replaced in a very long time.
Nice and clean. Near all the hot spots in town.
Bed too soft
Excellent location. Considering that hotel prices are always very high in Solvang, this was a good value.
Rooms need to be updated. Bathroom needs deep cleaning. Regular maintenance of smoke detector would have prevented the 2 AM chirping of the device. You get what you pay for. I was not expecting the Ritz, so was not disappointed. We were only there for one night. Room was comfortable enough. Next time we'll spend more to stay at a nicer place.
The room was smaller than it seemed in the photograph. HBO was advertised but was not available. Since all the stores close by 6:00 p.m., not having a HBO or other cable channels made the evening incredibly boring.Although the sheets were clean, the bed covers and matching blue pillows were not. If they are not going to be cleaned regularly, the bed cover and pillows should not be on the bed at all for obvious sanitary reasons.
The location in the middle of town was perfect. We could easily drop purchases off at the hotel room and go right back to shopping. The hot tube was nice too. Their was barely any hallway noise.
The bed wasn't super comfortable, but not absolutely uncomfortable. This is not a hotel for light sleepers. The first night the traffic kept us awake, the second night the TV left on all night by upstairs neighbors kept us up worse than the traffic.Great location and respectful staff. However the thin walls with neighbors who sleep with the television and the main road right outside made for restless nights. Overall the daytime experiences were what we expected.
Central location, walk to shops and food. Lots of off street parking.
No elevators to 2nd floor.
The location is fantastic. We didn't have to use the car to go anywhere.
The towels have a chemical smell. We decided to go on a short anniversary getaway to Solvang last minute. There were no fancy hotel rooms left. My husband didn't want us to drive if we were both going to have a few drinks. This hotel was one of the two available. It was cleaner than expected. The towels had a chemical smell to them and I broke out in a rash from them. They were clean but I guess I am just sensitive to whatever they used on them. The location was the best available in my opinion. The noise didn't bother me. The wifi is a joke I couldn't connect, not once, that forced us to disconnect from the internet and explore the town more. They do have cable tv. Would definitely stay there again but will take my own towel!!!
For our purposes we liked everything. The bed was comfortable, plenty of channels on the flat screen. Also I was double booked on Price line, but they called the hotel and I was able to cancel one room with no charge. Thanks to everyone for that.
The breakfast could be improved.
The location. Close to the center of town.
Sort of a continental breakfast so we ate in a restaurant.Good location. Nice staff. Lovely accomodations.
