We reserved two rooms, a standard double and a double suite. There were no outlets in the bed area in either room. The towel racks are inside the shower, dampening the thin towels. The sink drains in both rooms were very slow. The wifi Internet access was spotty, at best. The fitness room was small and HOT, with warm water and no free weights. (You have to hit an emergency button to leave the room!) Continental-style breakfast buffet costs extra, but the staff is very nice. The Starbucks in the lobby is a nice perk.
Clean, comfortable room. I liked the central locations of the pool and hot tub along with the firepits. One odd thing is that the towel rack was inside the shower.
This is a nice hotel for an older crowd. It was quiet and relaxing.
This is my favorite hotel in Tucson - very comfy. Nice staff. Great restaurant, courtyard and pool. A coffee and business center in the lobby. Very nice!
This is a 3 star property at a 4 star price. It is an OK place but not a good value.
Everything is great about this hotel. The music is very nice. It would be even better if Fire and Spice can provide more variety of food.
As a tired traveller I just wanted a quiet place to rest. I only got stress and aggravation from the shrilling, blasting music of a private party booked at the pool and courtyard of this hotel. Why would the hotel management do that to their hotel guests? I read in other people's reviews that this is a regular thing that goes on at this hotel. For your own sake, don't stay at this hotel!
We enjoyed our stay. On our second day we decided to upgrade to a suite so we could also have the separate seating area since we would be here 7 days. The staff made this change easy for us and were very accommodating during our stay. We would stay here again.
We just stayed at the Tucson Sheraton for our spring break vacation. We loved this hotel. The pool was very clean and big enough to have some fun in. Nice hot tub too. The restaurants menu was limited but the food was pretty good. More than anything it was convenient to eat there after a day of site-seeing and swimming in the pool. Lots of extra towels by the pool. Its a great outdoor area with beautiful fire-pits. We sat there almost every night just enjoying the evening. Some of the baseball players from the Colorado Rockies stay here for spring training and it was fun to see them mingling around in the evening. This was a very kid-friendly hotel too. We had two double beds and a fold out couch in the living-room. Perfect for our two boys. The room was clean with comfy beds and two flat-screen TVs. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They give you an option on daily room cleaning. If you dont want the towels changed every day you receive a 5 voucher for Starbucks instead. Their lobby was very nice too - computers flat-screen TV and 24-hour Starbucks. If you dont want to hear the outdoor live music from your room you might ask for a room away from the pool area. Only objection would be the neighborhood. Its not unsafe just not that nice. Great hotel. Would definitely stay again!
Great friendly staff, Starbuck's in the room and in the lobby. Computers in the lobby. Comfortable room-get the suite with the living area. Musical entertainment each night! Jazz combo, or singer with band, always something going on. Two fire pits to enjoy! Pool too!
Overall staying at this hotel was a good experience, quiet and safe. Unfortunately upon arrival at the room, the drapes were severely stained. The stains looked like blood, but we were hoping it was chocolate or wine. The shower handle fell off, but was replaced without us asking. We wish breakfast would have been included. We stayed five nights and we would definitely stay there again even though it seems to need some basic maintenance, such as replace the curtains, and frequently some of the elevators didn't work.
We drove down from LA for orientation for my son for college. The front desk staff was extremely nice. It was a Tuesday night and they were having live jazz out by the pool. Everyone was having such a good time and very friendly. The bed was comfy, sheets were clean, pillows were great, water pressure in the shower was good. It took us less than 20 minutes to drive to the U of A campus, and this hotel was close to some decent restaurants. They also are a pet friendly hotel, which I love, since we have a dog.
Rooms, halls, carpet, bathrooms need updating. Carpet in halls was spotted and did not look inviting. Bed was very comfortable. Considering all the choices in Tucson, there are no doubt better places for the price. All employees were friendly and helpful. Food was average.
This is a great hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The pool area is beautiful with a gym, jacuzzi, and restaurant all in the same area. The food is delicious and the fire pits in the evening are lovely and we had a lot of fun making smores. The suites are big and bright but they could use a microwave. This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in in a while. The location is good also. For all of the space you get plus the great facilities the price is right. And they have a Starbucks right in the lobby.
The staff, the suites, and the pool were awesome. Loved the stay. ENJOYED THE STAY. Suites are definitely better than the regular rooms. The restaurant was okay. Expensive for the protions.
Be prepared for a building that spreads out and windsaround to find your room. There is no continental breakfast, but a good IHOP right next door. A nice pool and courtyard. Nice and close to the mountains. The staff was not overly friendly, but not impolte. The room was entered from the hall and the size was very good. No refrigerator or microwave. We found it a bit pricey for what you get. But decent with a good location to the Catalina mountains.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was in a good part of town. I felt safe and secure there, but I had to access the room from a back entrance. The rooms were large and the bedding had thick comforters which I really like. We especially liked the pool. It was large and a great way to end the day. The staff was very helpful in directing us to the places that we needed to go, and made good suggestions concerning places to eat. The bathroom was new and clean. They had large thick towels and great shampoo and conditioner. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again. They had a nice gift shop too.
