Proximity to the train station
Room was run down Room was very small (definitely for American standards, it seemed small to other European hotels as well) Bed was very hard The area this hotel is in seems very sketchy (it's the red light district) though I knew that going in.
Nice comfortable bed, good linen, squeaky clean bathroom. Overall for the price it's a great deal. I'll stay here again!
No internet, anywhere in the hotel. That's so 2009
I chose this hotel because of its location. We were hoping to see fireworks near the river for New Years and it was close and relatively inexpensive. The location was perfect and the price was fine, but had I not been exhausted I might not have been able to sleep.
The walls were paper thin, so we could hear every neighbor ... ever. There was no water pressure in the shower. There was no clock in the room. There were two skinny sets of sheets instead of one to cover the whole bed.
Pay for wifi
I was sorry the pool was closed.
We stayed at the Savoy on our last night in Germany because of the convenience to the Hauptbahnhof in Frankfurt. The room was very good, the staff was great and the breakfast was one of the best I've had in Europe all for a very good price. After breakfast we trotted accross the street to the train station, took a quick trip to the airport and flew out. Seemless!!
breakfast was very good and room was clean.
room is so small.
Savoy was excellent in service, buffet breakfast, closeness to the railway station and yet on a posh street with other top hotels. It was real classy with real touch of hospitality, welcoming goodies (fruits, cookies and mineral water etc.)
We simply loved it.
Best breakfast spread I've experienced in my travels.
I'm 6'6" and I had a hard time in the shower as it's not made for someone of my height.
