convenience and great service and facility
Clean and surprisingly modern decor in the rooms. Nice size refrigerator and Microwave included.
A hand towel bar next to the sink and an extra hook on the outside of the bathroom for would be great. Wish there was a Jacuzzi.
It was very clean, quiet & the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good but the same every day.
I didn't feel the air conditioner worked right. The room would get warm and stay that way for awhile then the A/C would kick on and cool it off. I don't believe the thermostat was working correctly.
free breakfest and free parking. good service.
not so clean. the room is kind of smelly when first get in.
Room was clean and recently updated. Nice furnishings, friendly staff.
The location was perfect, plenty of parking, the pool was perfect and super clean. The room was basic but had everything I needed including a toothbrush and razor.
The shower water pressure could have been stronger. The alarm clock was set to AM instead of PM so if I did not catch that I could have overslept and missed my appointment.
The rooms were clean, nice. Bathroom was clean. Comfy beds, and flat screen tv.
Nice rooms, Nice staff though not that flexible.
no drinking water bottles given complimentary with the room/
Given my circumstances, I liked the room I got although I have to pay $30/day extra because they could not find me a room w/ 2 beds. I had to ask them to find another room for me, which they did, otherwise I`d lose my money.
Yes but the hotel is pretty simple so it was expected really.
The rooms seemed to be newly renowated.
The area, the receptionist, the breakfast
Maintenance/cleanliness, PARKING RIGHT BY YOUR DOOR! well equipped/ great TV.
stayed in a quite roomy handicap room which for some reason had no place to hang anything.
I liked the hotel was close to the beach and a very nice around all around.
I didn't like that our room wasn't clean at early day.
close to everything
could have warmer blankets or at least some in a drawer and better pillows to small
What I liked best, was actually the thing I originally hated-- It's a bit of a walk to get around to anything exciting. However, because of the nice weather, I walked around and get familiar with the area, and avoided traffic!
The breakfast is weak. Waffles day one is great, but beyond that it's not worth getting up early for.
Breakfast fare below average for a super 8.Front desk staff inflexible - would not allow an extra 30 minutes for late checkout without paying a fee we had an ill family member.
The breakfast was decent for a continental breakfast.
The bed was hard and the pillows too firm. My husband and I didn't get any sleep.
They told me that they may come in while I was out to replace the carpet. I could decline if I was in the room. But what if I came back while they had the room torn apart? Should not do this when a room is booked.
The rooms were renovated. The bed was comfortable and firm. Breakfast was handy.
It was loud on Saturday night. Some people staying at the hotel were talking loud. The swimming pool is only open in the summer. They charge $10 for a bunk bed. I called in advance of arrival to get two beds. The check in clerk quoted $20 per night.
location to my family
pillows too flat, bed hard
not a thing
yes bit buy bed bug
The motel was very clean and the breakfast was nice.
The towels were threadbare.
Rooms too dark.
I got upgraded to a suite which was nice for a Super 8.
Nothing special a good place to spend a night or two.
I thought this was good value, others didn't like the breakfast but I did. Just my opinion, though. The dining area is crowded, but you can take your breakfast up to your room. This hotel was convenient for us so we liked it. Just a few outside restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Clean, comfortable, inexpensive.
As a single person visiting this city for the first time, this motel met and even exceeded my expectations! The staff in the lobby were always polite and professional and answered all of my questions. One of them even let me use the hotel laptop to find places to visit during my stay, since I had left mine at home! My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It also seemed nearly sound-proof; I heard very little noise from surrounding rooms, including the room directly below me. The king-sized bed was clean and very comfortable, a definite plus! The room was furnished with a desk/chair/lamp, an arm chair, bed, bedside stands with lamps and a digital alarm clock, television, dresser, sink/counter space outside the bathroom, tub/shower combo and toilet inside the bathroom, and a bar/shelf with hangers just outside the bathroom to hang my clothes. The room also came with an iron; ironing board; blow dryer; and a coffee maker, coffee, paper cups (the only things missing for coffee-making were coffee filters, which didn't present a problem for me -- a non-coffee drinker). My room also came with two appliances that helped make my stay a grand success -- a microwave and small refrigerator/freezer! Certain food sensitivities didn't allow me to eat the complimentary breakfast the hotel provided each morning. However, with the microwave and refrigerator, I was able to enjoy inexpensive breakfasts and dinners right in my motel room! I have stayed at other Super 8 motels around the country, and Super 8 Los Angeles Culver City again confirmed what I have come to expect from this motel chain: a safe, professional, comfortable, and convenient stay -- all for a reasonable price! Thank you, Super 8 Los Angeles Culver City! You helped make my short stay a success, and I plan on looking you up again if I ever get the opportunity to visit Los Angeles again!
I came here on vacation with my wife and 3 of my children. The rooms were good and comfortable; the service and breakfasts were fine. I highly recommend it.
This hotel is in a great location in Culver City. Getting to the beach or a movie was quick and easy from this location. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained as was the pool. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't bring my laptop, but they had one I could use in the office area anytime day or night. I had no problems with the computer or the connection for looking up places to eat or places to go. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I went grocery shopping and used the fridge in my room to store my food so I did not go to the free breakfast and cannot comment on it. The hotel does not have interior/enclosed corridors so the room doors open to the outside. This was fine, I did not have any problems, but to bring the safety rating up to excellent from good I would have liked the security of a lobby that people have to pass through and interior hallways that lead to room doors. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.
Stayed here in June 2010 during a road trip across california. It is very reasonabley priced for LA. The surroundings are not scenic and the hotel exterior is also not very promising. But the rooms are a surprise. Large and airy, the tall celings with exposed beams help open up the room. Bathrooms were really clean and the towels were softer than you would expect at this price range. The lobby is non existent. Front desk was very business like. Parking is free and was not hard to find on a Tue night. Noticed a pool, did not use it. There is minimal free breakfast which we did not eat, but noticed being put out in the very small lobby area.
We have stayed at this Super 8 twice. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for a very clean, safe, quiet, affordable place to stay. It is not brand new so there is a little wear but it was immaculate. The maids do an excellent job, the bathroom was spotless. The area around the motel is not exactly scenic but it feels safe and just a short drive down Washington and you are at Venice Beach. For us it would be handy if they accepted small pets, but that is not the case.
