The staff was excellent. The lobby is gorgeous and I love the fruit infused water there. They gave me a free upgrade and the view was stunning as well as the lighting design, environmental graphics - comfort of pillows and bed, shower... Made my visit special and I was able to leave my suitcase while I walked around.
The room was fairly large for NYC. Contemporary decor in an old hotel. Great location for Penn Station/Amtrak.
Shower was TINY, and bathroom had little space for touletries. Air conditioning was loud , but helped to block out the constant horn blowing most of the night. Make sure to get a room away from the street!
Check was supposed to be 3- then got Ana ail saying it was 4- waited and didn't get in the room until 4:40- staff seemed like they were making up story as to why we didn't have our room. Got to the room- remote didn't work and no shower gel in shower- oh well... There are worse things!
Everything I don't know if it was a bad experience but they were rude the rooms smelled they upgraded me and it was even worse the smell
We booked the hotel last minute since we had to come to NY for an audition the following day. We've stayed in a few hotels in the area and for the price this was by far the best. Food was great, service was exceptional. Staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable. I would recommend it!
My boyfriend took a shower with the door open and if set off the Fire alarm in the bedroom for a solid 5 minutes before someone could come deactivate it. When they came to deactivate it they said "did you have the bathroom door open when you were showering?" so clearly it's been a problem before.
Location is top notch. Rooms are decent for nyc standards. And the restaurant is good as well as decently priced.
The hotel doorman is best described as a thug. Shouting at people, demanding tips, and acting outrageously aggressive. On my last day, he got into a shoving match with my car driver! The man is a time bomb
Location of Hotel and comfort of room
The beds were very comfortable. Good restaurant, serving fantastic food.
courtesy of the staff - good location, outside Madison Square Garden.
The staff was great.
It lacks personality.
