I rarely write reviews but our stay at Hoilday Inn LES was perfect as it was three blocks away from my family we were visiting. We booked two rooms for the price of one boutique hotel in the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and modern. I've stayed in luxury hotels like the Ritz and boutique hotels like the Kimptons. This Holiday Inn room reminded me of the W Hotel in San Francisco (size, style, etc. less one down comforter). The staff was always courteous and helpful. Free WiFi! could use their "e-room" to use computer or print boarding passes. Free complementary toiletries if you forgot something. Air conditioner was amazing. Showers and water pressure were awesome. Room was very quiet. This will be our go-to hotel from now on in NYC.

Getting moved to the higher floor for the view. Smaller property - fewer people around. Nightly snack. Free internet. Apples and coffee. 4th of July party on the roof to watch fireworks.
Not enough hooks in the bathroom for towels.Great staff. Great location for those who relish the less touristy areas and aspects of NYC. Go to the Essex Market across the street and have a taco or two at Brooklyn Taco. Or buy bread and cheese and fruit for a picnic. Views in higher rooms amazing, although lower rooms great, too.
Wonderful staff. Spacious and great room for an NYC hotel. I would go back for the temper-pedic bed alone!
One elevator was broken, so getting in and out of the hotel took an annoying long time. But that was all.Great location for those who love the edgy and hip Lower East Side. You fall out of the hotel into some of the best night life in Manhattan. Chinatown and Soho are easy walks. The room was clean, simple, and modern. The temperpedic bed was incredible. The room also had great lighting which I find can be rare in hotels. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel was centrally located to subway stations which was convenient.
It was odd having to leave the room key with the front door staff everytime we left but the keys are actual keys, so that's understandable.
Great staff; very helpfull. This is a great place to stay, on a quiet street (as quiet as you could hope for in lower Manhattan), close to subway, local good local eating, and to all that happens in lower Manhattan.

It's location was good for our needs to get to JFK. Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful.
I'm not sure I would stay in this area again, especially with 2 teenage daughters. I'm sure it was safe, however as a mother, I did not feel all that comfortable walking from the metro at night with just me and my two daughters. Two of the front desk attendants were very friendly and helpful. One was not. We ran out of toilet paper and kleenex and had a difficult time getting some until I ran into some cleaning staff. Upon arrival, I stepped on a broken piece of glass in our room and cut my foot. Both mornings, the coffee in the breakfast room was cold and had to wait for more to be made. The man at the front desk was very accommodating and brought me some coffee packets to our room so I could make my own (we only had decaf there).
The location is amazing - smack in the middle of the Lower East Side with all kinds of great places around to eat and drink and see music. I thought the value was excellent for this location. It was clean and overall the staff were helpful and efficient.
The rooms are very small, which was not necessarily a surprise. The facilities are not exactly in top notch condition but for the price I wouldn't have expected this.
Towering above the former tenement district of the Lower East Side, The Ludlow hotel may be a newcomer, but it feels right at home in one of New York’s historically hippest ‘hoods. Factory-style casement windows in every room, repurposed wood beams and a distressed-limestone fireplace in the lounge give this Sean MacPherson-styled spot its authentic feel.

At the epicenter of downtown Manhattan’s vibrant New Renaissance in cuisine, galleries, live music clubs, and nightlife spots, the fun-defining SIXTY Lower East Side evokes the youthful spirit of its all-hours neighborhood–an indie-vibed district on display from nearly every Jim Walrod designed suite’s floor-to-ceiling windows. Andy Warhol’s visage looks up...

Great room and view. The shower was amazing!
My room wasn't ready at the time stated. I just wanted to go to my room and sleep but had to wait and the front desk acted like it was no big deal. They didn't have my room ready at the check in time but otherwise the staff was good. Above Allen is a cool bar in the hotel. The pool area was cramped and a little messy.
I liked the design and decoration--it was sleek and modern. Also they give you chocolate! :)
The rooms were pretty small. Every room is near the elevator which can be loud. My Do Not Disturb sign disappeared several times. There's no ice machine--you have to order ice. I wish the pool was open later.

I've stayed here at least 5 times now, so finally felt compelled to review. The hotel is nothing truly fancy but it almost feels that way. Rooms are very small, but they're nice. If you're there for business or travel and not planning to stay inside you'll be fine. I've stayed in hotels for twice the price that feel to be the same scale. I keep returning bc they make it easy. The staff is super friendly and the location is literally steps from the subway. More then anything it's the price vs facilities that can't be beat. For the same $$ you'd be staying in generic corporate hotels that are uglier, less clean and grumpy. There's also coffee and tea served all day, which is nice.
The elevator is slow and they no longer serve breakfast.
