Very quality hotel, very quality hotel room, and a great location.
The location is great, right in the middle of everything. The rooftop lounge area was beautiful, directly facing the Empire State building.
On two different occasions the concierge referred us to a subway line which didn't run on the weekend. We wasted precious time waiting for a train which never arrived. The hotel is what you would expect. We could hear traffic noise from the 7th floor. The room was a bit small and the view from the room was brick and concrete. But this is New York. The price and location are great. The marble sink was a nice touch. The view from the roof-top terrace was impressive. I would stay here again

Location is great and the subway station is just in the corner of the block. Comlimentary breakfast is just OK, however if you are a familiy, it is important to have breakfast in the hotel in New York. Breakfast is served in the nearby bar& grill and its atmosphere is great. One of the front office staff was very kind and helpful, so I would like to thank her for everthing that she has done.
The hotel is very old and needs complete renovation. The rooms are not large enough to accomodate a familiy of four. It seemed the most unclean hotel during our visit to USA. Housekeeping staff is interesting (I guess they need a short course to learn how to behave to customers). In conclusion, location is OK, but nothing else...
Location. Located close to Grand Central, Times Square and other popular places without being in a chaotic area. Located very close to parking garage which was very convenient.
Our view! View was looking out on ac units and machinery.Good restaurant/bar attached.

Too small No lobby Rooms extremely small. I think they might not even meet building code
Convenient location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Nice bathroom and excellent shower. Good air conditioning. Delicious Starbucks coffee provided for 1-cup-at-a-time coffee maker in room. Free Wi-Fi.
Room was miniscule. Although bed was comfortable, it was only a full size bed and too cramped for two rather tall people. TV volume control too limited - very difficult to hear above noise of window air conditioner. Only 4 hooks to hang clothing.

The location is perfect. Only one block from empire state building and near Broadway, time square and Penn station. Hotel is located in a Korean street so I can enjoy Korean food.
Small room. Window cannot open but air is fresh.
Cheap rate for a comfortable room in the heart of the city.
Not a thing.Staff was incredibly friendly and overly accommodating. We went to a Broadway show and were allowed to store our bags even after checkout. This was an immense burden off our shoulders while travelling. Highly recommend.

The location is great - tucked in Korea town - close to Times Square but just out of the way enough to not be too busy. Second stay at the NYMA and the location is definitely my favorite part.
The bathroom was a little shoddy but the room was big enough and the A/C worked very well to keep the room comfortable.
The location is excellent, although it is not really midtown. More like Herald Square.
I'd stay again.

Friendly staff, room was ready before 3:00 check-in time, very clean room and hotel.
window only had a think curtain, could have used a second layer or ticker curtain for privacy and to block out light from outside.
The location, just in the midtown of everywhere, very close to the places you can visit them.
Everything was ok, only room space is too short VThe location is very good, it's clean and safety, also the staff is very kindly.

The radiator is loud and blazing hot and you have to sleep with the window wide open to Manhattan traffic in order to breath. Worst is that this hotel had the same problem 10 years ago and still has not fixed it.It is DEFINITELY NOT 3 STARS. It is not even 2.5 starts. At best it is 2 stars. In 10 years they still have not fixed the heat. Even though they offer 2 beds and had an open room they would not give it to us at the auction price and wanted $60 more.
Huge room for a NYC hotel. Very convenient location. Great chocolate milkshakes available at 10:30 PM. What a nice surprise!

Location and staff were amazing also had nearby parking.
The sheets were dirty. Had what seemed to be vomit stains on the comforter.I got the package with insurance which cost extra. I wasn't able to check in the day of my reservation due to personal reasons. When I got there the next day my reservation was cancelled and they charged me. They reinstated my reservation for the second day but would not give me the first day back or my money back for that day. What's the point of getting an insurance package. I actually didn't even want my money back, I just wanted to stay for the amount of days I payed for.
Proximity to Times Square and Chinatown
Parking availability and ratesThe staff were very friendly, something you do not expect from such a large hotel in nyc
