Cleanliness and beautiful surroundings, perfect location
Free parking is three blocks away from the hotel. Not very convenient after checking in at 9pm with 2 kids. Didn't feel very safe.Amazing! Except for parking feature.
I enjoyed the vintage feel, balcony, and close proximity to the plaza.
The staff was not very educated on things to do in Ponce.
The hotel is SO close to the town square and is a great way to experience Ponce up close. Meter parking out front of the hotel entrance was free at night and cheap during the day. The hotel looks quite historic and is decorated with antiques. Comfy beds.
There was no street noise in our inside facing room (no balcony) but the air conditioner was a little bit noisy when it cycled on and off. Otherwise a great hotel.Clean. Historic. Quiet indoor facing room (no windows in our room). So close to the town square. My family of 4 had a great stay here when we were touring the island. Clean. Friendly. Awesome tile work in lobby and antiques in public spaces. AC unit was aa little noisy but no problem really. Comfortable beds. Street parking out front free at night and inexpensive meters during the day. Felt safe. Good street food nearby.
I loved the Hotel and everything else in Ponce. The staff members were always very helpful and willing to accommodate my every need. I love the history of the building itself, the decorations were kept as close to the era as possible. It was fantastic!
I really can't think of anything I did not like.If you are looking to experience not only the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, but also the rich history and its historic buildings, this is the one to stay at. It used to be a mansion; as soon as you walk into the lobby, it feels you have walked into the past. I grew up in PR, but never visited the surrounding towns nor did I seek to know its rich history. I went with my girlfriend, we spent 10 days as tourist. As soon as we walked in the hotel and checked in, the staff member carried our suite case to our room. The bedroom was very spacious with comfortable beds. Flat screen TV, WiFi, more than enough large mirrors, and a good size fri...
Quaint, clean and close to the historic district.
Only a single drawback...we had a balcony room on Calle Villa with a bar directly across the street. Their music/speakers were ramped up starting at 9:00 pm until after 2:00 am. Opt for an inside room.Within 50 yards of the historic square and easy (flat) walking all around the sites. Well worth staying here as opposed to 6 miles away at the Hilton Casino.
Absolutely loved the hotel, the accommodations, and its history. Staff was extremely helpful. Perfect location in ponce center to stroll around. And the room was very comfortable and extremely well kept. Give it a 5 star rating.
Lots of character, huge room, low price which included breakfast, ideal location
Interesting architecture and conveniently close to Ponce's town square.
Extremely loud street noise - even past bar closing time. No way to block off sound. While the noise made sleeping difficult, to be fair, the staff let us know as we checked in that it would be loud. They offered earplugs.Keeping old, historic hotels like this in business is important, so in spite of the high decibels, we would go there again - but request a rear room.
