The toilet made a terrible noise every 10 minutes. We were too tired and checked in too late to go complain and I think they were full anyways so I don't think they would've moved us. Very mediocre place - not worth the money. I only booked there because it was close to where I needed to go the next day.
Close to freeway, staff were friendly and helpful. Updated rooms. Free parking. Free WiFi
Would have liked 4 pillows in the bed. Bed frame was extended and always hit our leg. More breakfast choices. Shower leaked hot water from the nozzle
Free good breakfast
We had to wait for towels
Small. Tight. Outlets are loose
Room was well-appointed and furnishings were modern.
Morning clerk at the front desk was rude.
The parking was free. That was great. Don't often see that nowadays in and around the city.
The mattress had literally no bounce to it and I'm convinced it was plywood or maybe a big flat rock. Whatever it was it certainly was not even suitable to sleep on. My 3 year old who can sleep anywhere couldn't even sleep on that bed. My 2 month old myself and my 3 year old all developed awful rashes on our bodies from the towels and sheets. The towels smelled like burned plastic. The floors were so filthy you couldn't walk without shoes. Mystery stain about 3 feet wide in the middle of the floor. No bath tub. Just a leaky shower with awful water pressure. I can't express enough that the "mattresses" we're the most uncomfortable! I sat on it and it after a long day of traveling with two small kids I had to laugh to keep from crying. I would have slept in the car If the neighborhood didn't look so sketchy. The breakfast- half a pack of frozen waffles, a bag of generic and stale bagels and corn flakes. The syrup container was disgusting and sticky with a dead fly stuck to it. We had juice and left exhausted and hungry. You get what you pay for. I'll be paying more to stay at a sanitary hotel from now on. I learned my lesson.
I didn't hear a train like other reviewers did, but I also slept with the fan on all night to drown out any noise. I greatly appreciated the good size in-room fridge, microwave, and free wifi. Staff was polite. Bed was comfy. There was an ice and soda machine on the property. Hotels in that area are pricey. This was the most reasonably priced hotel I could find.
I did hit my shin on the frame of the bed like many other reviewers did. The sink faucet needed to be secured with bolts on the underside. Every time I pulled up on it, it lifted up so I had to use my other hand to push it down. Furniture was worn/scratched. Breakfast is all carbs (pre-made waffles and pancakes, cereal, bagels, juice). If you're on a Paleo diet there will be nothing for you to eat so bring your own food and store it in the in-room fridge.
The room was very clean had space to move around. It was in walking distance to the San Mateo Event center and a shopping mall was a short drive away. I always appreciate free Wifi.
The front desk person could have been more amicable.
All I wanted was a decent place to sleep that was convenient to my destination. On that regard, this was a fine place. The beds were comfy, rooms were clean, and it was close to the 92-101 interchange. Also, it was very close to a CalTrain station which we took to go to Palo Alto. It served its purpose as good our home base after we were through with our day.
The staff was not even remotely friendly. I asked for 2 key cards for my wife to use and was bluntly told "only 1 key." Breakfast was wanting. We can hear guests from other rooms. Toe/arm/head injury hazards all over the place; I hit my shin on the bed frame, and banged the dumb mirror next to the bathroom.
Dirty rooms, half broken-noisy bed and an extremely rude staff that don't give a flying $&@! about you. Probably one of the shittiest motels I ever stayed in. Oh, and did I mention location? A loud train at 1-2am every night to wake you up. Do yourself a favour and find soething else unless you're really desperate.
Linens were clean and fresh. Fridge in room.
Caution: bed is placed a little too close to the large chair and you will smack your leg on the don't-know-its-there-until-you-hit-it footboard. Other comments noted the lack of storage/shelf space in the bathroom/shower and that is true. Password for wifi is: Flowers. Don't pay extra for that, as the signs around the hotel say its free. We paid "extra" for it - waste. This hotel comes up as "Half Moon bay" and it is about 30mins away, so not Half Moon Bay = Kayak fail.
Close to my stepson's huse
Room was not cleaned everyday. Poor quality towels, some with holes in them. Overpriced. Breakfast barely adequate.
The room was clean, complementary breakfast and free parking
Not that close to San Francisco
