Rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was good.
The breakfast was not available until 7:00. I would have preferred earlier availability because I had to skip two mornings.
Street noise is terrible, ask for a room away from the street
The staff was very helpful & friendly.
Sewage smell from the bathroom sink.Staff was excellent - helpful & friendly. Room was nicely decorated, clean & roomy, with convenient little beverage frig, coffee maker, iron & hair dryer. Dinner was so delicious at the Hadsten Bistro. Also loved the free breakfasts there (not just bagels & fruit, but also scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, hot & cold cereals.
LOCATION, CLEANLINESS, STAFF
SOME OF THE GUESTS FORGOT THEY WERE AT A HOTLE AND WERE QUITE LOUD AS THEY TALKED OUTSIDE AT NIGHT. THE HOTEL DID QUIET THEM DOWN WHEN ASKED TO.
Location to downtown Solvang.
Some of the staff were rude. No elevator. Few exterior trash receptacles. No microwaves on site, you had to go next door to the liquor store. Two bed room was ok. The air cond wasn't near the bed. It had tiny tables.
Clean boutique style hotel with a more modern feel. Great location and good on site restraunant.
The room was clean. Breakfast was good. Location is good.
Bed was uncomfortable; wifi did not always work.Certainly not a three and one half star as advertised. Upgraded motel 6, in my opinion. Bed was uncomfortable for both me and my wife. WiFi did not connect most of the time. Breakfast was good.
Room was a good size and nicely furnished. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Great free breakfast in a very stylish restaurant.
Walls are pretty thin...this is still an old motor lodge, after all. And the air conditioning unit in our room was pretty banged up...it worked fine, though. The Solvang/Santa Ynez area can get pricey, so we found Hadsten House to be a great middle option between the expensive boutique inns and the characterless chain hotels. It's in a great location right at the edge of downtown Solvang, with easy access to Buellton and the many wineries north and west of the town. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated/modernized to feel more like a stylish contemporary hotel than an old '60s motor lodge. Only real downside was the thin walls...other than that, we had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.
The location was perfect! We planned on going into the downtown shops and restaurants in Solvang, and it was literally steps from the hotel!
The bed was pretty uncomfortable. So bad that I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible back pain that did not go away until 2 days later. The restroom hadn't been cleaned very well either.Location, location, location! Great room decor.
It is only a short walk from downtown solvang
