Car RentalMatsuda, Nissan, Nippon and Toyota are the four car rental companies available at NRT. They are located in the 1st floor arrivals area of each terminal. Unless you plan on exploring beyond Tokyo, driving in the city can be difficult. You may want to consider one of the public transportation options to get to and from the Narita airport, as well as getting around Tokyo. Public/Ground TransferEach terminal has its own train station: Narita Airport Station at Terminal 1 and Airport Terminal 2 Station in Terminal 2. There are two railway companies that have service from Tokyo to each of these stations. JR East runs the Narita Express and other lines to NRT, while Keisei Railway also has express service along with regular lines. Since NRT is quite a distance from Tokyo, taking either express service is your fastest way to get to the airport, lasting about an hour per trip. For more information on service and rates, check each company's respective sites: JR East at Railway and Keisei Electric Railway at Electric Railway. Airport ShuttlesThere are several shuttle bus services at NRT that will take you into downtown Tokyo and to several of the most popular hotels. These companies have ticket counters in each of the terminals and bus stops outside each terminal on the 1st floor arrivals level. Check the airport's website for a list of companies and their bus stop numbers:Narita Bus. These shuttle bus services are a convenient option, but may take longer than the train depending on traffic. Limousine ServicesAs with any other major city, if you're looking for a more luxurious ride to and from the airport, there are limousine services available. These services are usually booked in advance and you'll pay a fixed rate, be greeted at the airport by your driver and taken directly to wherever you wish to go. Taxi ServicesTaxi stands are located outside the 1st floor arrivals area of each terminal. These taxis run on a fixed rate depending on which zone you are going to, but can be quite expensive due to the distance from Tokyo. You might find that the express trains are both more affordable and faster. Get more information on Tokyo Narita Airport
