It has an excellent location, and very quiet rooms in spite of all the construction going on outside. I always stay here if I have to take a train from Union, as it's a short walk.
There's no soap in the shower, just large dispensers of shampoo and conditioner. To get soap you need to step out of the shower, lean across to the sink and press on another dispenser. The soap thing bugged the crap out of me. Beyond that though - it's a completely anodyne experience, and having somewhere within a block of Union to store your bags while you're out doing meetings, makes it completely worth it. So if you're there on business, and flying Porter or doing Via, this is definitely the place to stay (if you can't afford the Fairmont across the street).
Clean and well organized
I would have preferred free internetI would stay here again.
Single beds! Didn't know there was such a thing at a hotel !Happy with the overall experience thanks to the Front Desk Manager finding us rooms with 2 beds. Priceline was not helpful at all when I attempted to get them to ensure that we would have 2 beds per room.
I actually liked the compactness of the rooms. They had everything you need.
nogreat little hotel. Tip: check you window to see if it is open. I found it noisy and didn't realize the window was open :)
Staff were very helpful, place was clean and close to where we needed to be.
Internet connection was sketchy, could only get it to work by the elevator, TV reception was fuzzy on some channels. Called the help desk and they could not fix it. Said it was Rodgers problem.
I found this hotel to be very clean.
The rooms were a bit small however if you are just there to sleep for the night they are more than adequate. This hotel is in a great location if you require accommodations close to the MTCC. There is no parking onsite however, there is secure parking for $15 per day at the RBC building which is two blocks from the hotel. The rooms are small but adequate and very clean. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. There is a Tim Hortons directly across the street if you want a quick coffee or breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a one or two night stay in downtown Toronto if you are not planning on spending much time in the room. I only say this because of the size of the rooms.
extra small room, small double bed, noise elevator all night.extra small room, small double bed, noise elevator all night. the windows were closed, but it sounded like the windows were open
My bid was for a room for two adults. However, the room that they gave us had a miniature bed that was did not accommodate two average size adults. This hotel had the most outrageously small room I had ever seen. We bid on a room for two adults but the bed was so small that my legs stuck about 6 inches off of the end. As well, it was so narrow that my wife and I couldn't move without disturbing the other person's sleep. We normally sleep in a Queen size and we were at least expecting that. When we called the front desk to ask for a larger room, they did not answer the phone. Had I not been pressed for time, I would have gone to the front desk to complain. However, because I had somewhere I needed to be, I had to just accept the room as it is. This hotel is using Priceline to scam victims into booking a room that cannot accommodate them and then forcing them to pay for an 'upgrade' to a room with a reasonably sized bed. Furth...
Rooms were tiny, had to pay for wifi, no parkingThis hotel is awful, unless you are traveling by yourself.
