I did not like the small office/lobby and the strong smell of curry, Did not like having to go into office and ask for ice(no self serve), did not like the mold on shower curtain and wires in ceiling light, no pool. Did not like hotel. Cancelled 2 days.I booked for 3 nights and did not like the hotel and cancelled the other two nights right away. I only stayed the one night because I could not cancel with such short notice. I would like a refund of my one night. I ended up going across the street to Best Western Rose Inn and had a very nice stay. I would not recommend Americas Best Value in to anyone. I did not like the small lobby that was also were you went to get your continental breakfast that I did not have. No good creamer for coffee and the minimal selection for eating. Very unsatisfied.... ... more

Once they upgraded us to one of the newly remodeled tooms it was great.
The first room we were given was terrible. Dirty and smoky. The remodeling is much needed. They are currently in construction so it was a bit loud and the staff had trouble finding available rooms but I think it'll be great once the work is finished. ... more
Ease of access; a good working elevator is not to be scorned. Seeing the pool happily in use by families. Friendly competent folks at the front desk. The well lit parking area in back felt safe.
No wifi. No shampoo. Vending/ice room was locked in the evening, to the consternation of other guests who wanted the convenience--it looked like a room key should have opened it but no such luck.If you're passing through town on vacation, or staying a night for a nearby workshop as I was, this Motel 6 is all that it needs to be. Close to everything needful, and easily near the local highway. ... more

Loud vehicle traffic at night, minimum sound insulation.Old, outdated room amenities. Pillow was too high causing neck ache. Bed was too hard and made squeaking noises when moving around. ... more
The owner is very friendly and seems attentive if there would be an issue and the rate was reasonable. It's quiet and an affordable alternative to Santa Cruz and Monterey during the high season.
We had a triple room consisting of a double bed and a single bed. I found the single bed uncomfortable to sleep in, maybe ok for a small child. Walls are kind of thin, fortunately our neighbors were quiet till they got up in the morning. This is a very basic motel a little out of town across from a golf course, on a not-too-busy road. We thought it was ok for one night. ... more
