If your heart is saying one destination but your wallet says another, we have some ideas that may make them both happy. Based on a recent article from The Washington Post, here are some cheaper destination ideas for this summer:
1. Swap Bora Bora for Belize.
Flights to Belize will only set you back $620* with hotel rates averaging $259* per night, vs. Bora Bora flights for $1,925* with hotels averaging $1,516* per night
2. Try Cabo over Capri.
Flights to Cabo will run you about $565* with hotel rates averaging $457* per night vs. Capri flights for $1,176* and hotels averaging $644* per night.
3. Stay in Croatia over Bermuda.
Hotels in Split, Croatia average about $199* per night, vs. hotels in Hamilton, Bermuda which average about $770* per night.
4. Venture to Switzerland over Canada.
Hotels near Lake Lucerne, Switzerland average about $283* per night vs. those in Lake Louise, Canada which average about $614* per night.
