Vueling carry-on size policies explained

Vueling carry-on size allowances will vary depending on your ticket. Regardless of your fare, Vueling's carry-on size policies allow passengers to take an under-seat bag on board as long as it fits under the seat in front of you.

  • If you’re a premium customer, TimeFlex Fare ticket-holder, disabled, or simply traveling with a child under less than two years, you can bring on a cabin bag that must go in the overhead locker.
  • Note that if you have a carry-on bag included in your ticket, you also have the option to check it free of charge in most cases. (Not sure whether to check your bag? Check out this handy overview when making your decision.)

Vueling carry-on size FAQs

Vueling's carry-on bag size policy is relatively strict. Note that how strictly the policy will be applied to you will depend on your destination, origin airport, and the size of the airplane you’re set to travel with.

It's always best to familiarize yourself with baggage policies beforehand to avoid getting hit with excess penalties and fees.

Vueling Airlines allows TimeFlex Fare ticket-holders, premium customers, disabled travelers, and adults traveling with a child under two years on their lap to bring one overhead bag onboard. This bag must meet the airline's carry-on rules.
If you want to bring a baby stroller onboard your Vueling flight, it must count as your carry-on bag. This means it has to fit the same dimensions as all other carry-on items. If you choose to do this, you may check your other hand luggage free of charge. You may also check up to two items of baby luggage free of charge.

#1: Double check your baggage allowance

Beware that carry-on bag allowance is not guaranteed with every Vueling ticket. So be sure to double check when you book. You can always add a carry-on bag for a fee, either at the time of purchase or later on.

#2: If you want to book a checked bag, be sure to do so onlineto book a checked bag, be sure to do so online.

Like most airlines, the fee to check a bag upon arrival at the airport is significantly higher than if you choose to do it online. Adding a checked bag online ranges from €10-€59 (approx. $10.50-$62). But if you wait to do it at the check in counter, the price range is between €45-€75 (approx. $47-$79).

#3: Pack as if your bag will be checked for size and weight regulations

While it may be tempting to push the limits on size and weight constraints, we wouldn't recommend it. All airlines do spot checks, and are expected to be on the lookout for carry-on luggage violations. So make sure your bags do not exceed the permitted dimensions for Vueling carry on luggage when you are packing.
