Low water pressure in shower, toilet paper like thin paper, and our room's A/C was not working well. We were given a new room thankfully! The location and view are the big draws for this property. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Pros. Location.
Cons. Hotel is ok for location. But if you’re a frequent traveler with Marriott, find your room at any other of their properties on this beach. There was no breakfast, no water, no upgrades, no late checkout offered to platinum member even though this was a Sunday-Monday stay so not so crowded.
Cons. Fix the room door handle so you don’t have to fight to get in and out of your room Pool should be vacuum daily Gates from street and doors to hotel should be locked especially after 10pm like the sign says. Non guest going to the pool from the unlock gate from the street.
Pros. Breakfast! Location! Cleanliness!
Cons. We dealt with a leakage in the bathroom from the vent ceiling to the point of having to put a bucket to catch the water. When we reported it a nonchalant response was given.
Pros. Bed was comfortable. The canal side has a view of the international swimming hall of fame, which is cool since I'm a swimmer. Everything was clean. Beach access was easy. Restaurants close by were good and reasonably priced for being on the beach. HBO go came with the room.
Cons. Parking is expensive and valet only. There was some mold at the top of the shower where it appeared there had been some painted over water damage (not a big deal, but worth a mention). No usb plugs, only standard outlets.
Pros. Check in staff excellent, I was tired from bad Uber experience and the check in lady helped calm me down. :) . The luggage hold for the last day was superb service. All three gentleman were beyond helpful with making sure we had our things and even helped me get my suitcase in to the Uber. Polite and very serving! Starbucks server was superb as well!
Cons. One staff member cleaning the pool deck on Friday night proceeded to move chairs by us and was rather hasty about it and wacked my leg with one of those heavy recliners when I was reaching down to try and move my shoes out of her way. It could have been avoided is she wasn't so focused on getting the chairs aligned while we were still trying to relax outside. She did apologize. I did have trouble with your moblie ap to check in online, and it still has not been resolved for some reason, Marriott can not link my points with reservation there and my stay. Other hotels are much easier to do this.
Pros. Very friendly staff. Beautiful ocean views. Easy beach access.
Pros. Room was clean, good size, and staff was GREAT!
Cons. The only downside was on our way to the beach, they had run out of clean beach towels.
Pros. Courteous Staff. Great location. Very accommodating. More than suitable for a day or two. Excellent restaurants nearby.
Pros. Great location- big sun deck- good drink specials- gym with all the essentials including towels and water and machines with tv's
Cons. Room won't go under 65 and I like to sleep very cold so that was frustrating. Also the pool is very small and not close to sun deck so you have to walk down to another level to take a dip. Also some of the staff is not the friendliest.
