A friendly atmosphere, you feel on holiday even if I was on a business trip. The house bar within the hotel in very handy when you want to have a quick dinner or something to drink, in a relax atmosphere, with a live singer during the night. Globally, there are so many air con devices in the hotel that they finish by making a general noise which is present in your ears all the time. This was not too dramatic though.
It was pretty and was entertaining.
The personnel at the front desk were great (Charley and Scott B) and we had the most wonderful time there. Will stay there next time I am in the Tampa area and want some nice beach time and great food.
The hotel is a great location and has beachfront access. It is right on Gulf Shore BLVD near the 688 causeway. There are a couple of restaurants and bars across the street. A CVS is also nearby which is convenient. Room had a brand new ceiling fan which worked well. Front desk attendant was nice. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is very sub-par. The hallways look like an abandoned insane asylum with low tile ceilings, rusted sprinkler heads, and old wood doors. Some of the room number signs were faded or failing off. Upon entering the room we were greeted with a musky smell, but we proceeded to turn on the lights and investigate the room. Filters on the AC were actually clean, but in the vents there was mildew buildup contributing to the smell. The room had a door that gave direct access to the beach and shared back patio. The room furniture is dated and the "kitchenette" is original to when the motel was built. There is a metal sink with two burners attached which seems like a dangerous combination. The counters were a mustard yellow with duct tape holding it down. The kitchenette was mildly stocked with cups, plates, and flatware. There was also a mini-fridge and microwave. The television was a tube TV from the 90's. The comforters had some holes in them and there were only 3 small pillows per bed. If you wanted ice you had to pay for it. The carpet was a dark forest green, so you cannot see how much build up is really on them. The bathroom smelled like smoke as we think it was coming in from the unit next door. The bathtub was dirty and bathroom poorly stocked. We booked this last minute and mainly for the location, but would not stay there again. We read reviews ahead of time and expected it to not be great, but it was far below 2.5 stars. We brought Lysol and Clorox cleanup to be safe! Wish we would have packed sleeping bags to be honest.
Location. Old and filthy!!!!! Would never recommend and will never stay again. Very disappointed. Thought search sites would only have quality hotels on it.
Very clean and quiet. Pool area is in the center of the hotel making it nice and private, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The beach is right out their back door. Loved the location.
Limited parking by hotel. 14-15 spots total directly out front and the staff parks right there as well. Staff should be required to park across the street to allow additional parking for paying customers. This was one of the big issues I noticed with this hotel
Location was great I was under the impression all rooms got a beach view we didn't. Rooms were incredibly small like really really small!!
Met all our expectations, it's not luxury, but it's nice. Appreciate all the honest posts that we based our decision on. Would definitely consider revisiting the gem.
the beach and easy access to it. Large room with nice balcony view. Very good greeting staff.
* clean *great location, on beach * good on site resturant * Very secure * Had issues with booking through a 3rd party * no staris from parking garage to lobby floor, had to run in the storm to get in from parking * $25/ per day security deposit we did not know about
Smaller than it appeared online. Very pleasant atmosphere with fresh ice water offered in lobby and pool deck. Comfortable room, great employees. Had a wonderful time.
Little hot water
I liked almost everything about it, honestly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm from the Clearwater area and was visiting family in Indian Rocks Beach. I learned a long time ago it's best to stay in a hotel rather than with family. Anyways, the breakfast was simple and sufficient and had just about everything you could want. For the price and location, you definitely can't beat it...!!! I hate to even bring this up, but it would have been nice to have a room that I could smoke in. It was a bit of an inconvenience, to be perfectly honest. The air conditioner made loud noises during both nights. It woke me up a few times.
Great room and breakfast was amazing ... Staff was fun and great.. Nice pool The price could have been a little lower... I didn't like the fact that they could take the big dog into the breakfast area
Clean facilities Mildly hard to access, had to do a U turn to get to driveway
The kitchen Only one chair in bedrm/livingrm. Remote did not work and girl never came to fix it after I called her. No dinner plates or teaspoons when we arrived- 1 teaspoon and 2 plates appeared the next day.
Location was unbelievable. Room was perfect for myself, wife and two small kids. Kitchenette makes things so much more convenient and cheap! Staff was more than helpful, allowed us to hang out on beach for a few hours after checkout. 10/10 recommend. N/A

The pool was large and clean. Old rooms and, furniture..Bed uncomfortable, noisy air conditioner.not the cleanest
The room and friendly folks that work there. The pool and area was clean. The hotel was in the right spot to the beach. They have an efficiency room that had clean kitchen and bathroom. That we had to leave.
The hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and comfortable. This is a hotel straight out of the 50's, so if you're expecting something more, you'll be disapointed. We will stay again when in the area.
Location Smell. Bed, carpet. All old out of date. This is the 70' and 80' when they allowed to smoke in hotel. Now 2015 no smoking is allowing in the hotel. But the smome still smelled in the hotel room. I know why the bed and the carpet are from the 80'.
Such a nice staff!. Right across the street from the beach and a cute tropical pool area. Walking distance to the beach bars and dining. Comfortable room with a full kitchen. Quiet at night. It's an older hotel with a few wrinkles, but the plusses make that easy to overlook.
Great location. Cannot check in after 9. Office totally closed. Kitchen from 1975? Pool closed at dusk. Check out time at 11 but online said 11:30. I felt very unwelcome.
Not too far from the beach, easy access location, free wi-fi and on site parking. All and all the place was not too not bad...definitely nice and quiet. Room is quite dated, circa 1960s, kinda like staying in grand ma's spare bedroom. Also I became painfully aware that there is a difference between Beach front (ad photos) and beach access (shoes req). foremost strictly adhere to the check in at 3pm policy
Very clean. Nice workers. Close to beach. Would stay again. Dated, but clean.
huge room, decently comfortable beds, great view of pool area which looked great. 24hr front desk. great location and prices Nothing
View from the room was perfect. It was quiet and close to several restaurants Hardly any hot water.
Loved the beach location. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Strictly a beach, old Florida type room ,no frills. Loved that there was no smoking on the property. Walls were thin and you could hear your neighbor.
Location and beach were great. Plenty of hot water. Outdated and in disrepair. Room was clean, although furnishings were old and worn. "Resort" did NOT appear as in pictures! The room rate for the surrounding area was very low, but the rate for what you actually got was very disappointing. Would not recommend.
Beach and ocean is beautiful Hotel need serious updating. I think the room were ok clean. But difficult to tell. Manager and front desk no professionalism.seems occupied when checking us in. Manager was rude to several guests. We were sitting on the lawn in front of our room watching the ocean and chatting , sprinklers turned on at 9:15pm and soaked every thing. We tried to reach staff of hotel, no one was available by phone or in person. Parking was very limited. We had guest trying to visit, no extra parking anywhere close to hotel. Will not return.
I stayed here while attending a business conference in Clearwater Beach and was highly satisfied. My room was clean and the facilities are comfortable. Furthermore, the location is quiet and peaceful, and the owners are professional and helpful. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Clearwater.
The price I should've known the prices were too good to be true. From beginning to end, the place is shady and gross. From the pot smoking just outside by the inn's long-term residents to the dilapidated interior of the room, my sister and I could not stay here. Car windows were busted, and a meth-head asked us for money. We literally were in the room for five minutes before packing our things back into the car and going to the front office. We were not in town for a leisurely event, but to say goodbye to an ill family member. This place was too much for us, and we knew there was no way we'd feel safe or comfortable in such a place (particularly because the window air conditioning units gave off a damp, moldy odor and feel. However, when we went to the office, the lady working the front desk was not at all helpful. In fact, the only time she smiled was when we said we had booked through a third party, as this meant she could tell us there was nothing she could do for us. Luckily, the third party was very kind and prompt in refunding our money as we searched for another hotel nearby. This was despite the fact that the lady at the front desk apparently told them they'd have to charge us one night because we had already been in the room. It was absurd. I will not ever stay here, nor would I recommend it to anyone else, particularly those with children.
