The valet parking service was too expensive and too slow.
I like the fact that the hotel was closed to everything that we needed from restaurants, bars and drugstores. The hotel staff were very friendly from the valet attendant to the front desk. Our flight got delayed and they were able to accommodate our check-in time. We understand that parking is an issued around the city but we thought it was expensive for the hotel to charge $45 for valet parking and there are a lot of homeless people walking around. I wouldn't walk around the city by yourself at night.

The only thing we liked is its location, right next to Jack London Square. The bathroom is tiny and outdated. no tub for my children. Advertised "city view" was actually view of the back alley/parking lot. $25 valet parking was mandatory, no self parking. not going to recommend or stay there again.
Everything was perfect. Except the breakfast at the attached restaurant was fairly expensive and the service was not superbre, but the hotel itself is a true pleasure to stay in.
Clean rooms, close to downtown Oakland, waterfront views. Thin walls and ceiling, could hear everything our upstairs neighbors were saying and doing, including peeing into the toilet! We were placed in a weird room right off the lobby and could hear people arriving and checking in. Was not worth the money we paid.
The location is nice, good restaurants within walking distance in the area. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the wine & cheese hour was a nice touch. Everything was great with the exception of the thin walls, which unfortunately makes it a deal breaker for me.
There is a shower only, no bath. The wall is thin. The noise were heared from the adjacent rooms or the passage. The room is narrow.

The room was incredibly dirty and the beds uncomfortable. To be specific there was an unflushed toilet with something not so pleasant upon our arrival into our room. Completely unacceptable. The television did not work either. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

It's been years since I've stayed at Jack London Square. It's definitely gone up a step. Waterfront Hotel is an easy access location - both for driving and the train. Great restaurants both right in the Square and a short stroll away. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet even with all the events during our stay. The ONLY drawback was the hallway maze to our room. If we just followed the numbers we eventually got there...but no two paths were the same. Our coffee maker was broken but they delivered hot coffee to us immediately on request. The TV was also out but the cable was replaced while we were out for dinner. Perfect service.

The check-in folks were friendly. Your description of having rooms on the bay side or a 'view of the city' was very deceiving. The view of the city was a view of interstate 880, and was incredibly noisy since you're located right on the edge of the interstate. It was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in, and there was no way to get any sleep. The rugs were not clean, and the plumbing in the room was poor.
Staff was AMAZING. They bent over backwards to help me. They had free shuttle service to Downtown Oakland! Place was clean with delicious, free breakfast. Hands down, though, it was staff that made this place excellent! Nothing. I will stay here again. Best hotel in Oakland!

Great experience! Hotel was clean and well-kept. Rooms were very comfortable. Rooms facing the water were extremely quiet at night. A relief after staying at other hotels in Oakland with lots of street noise. Also a delight to look out at the water in the morning. Beds and desks were comfortable. Staff was generally very helpful. A couple times staff were curt, seemed irritated at doing their jobs. Also, they changed their shuttle service to only pick up and drop off at four locations, instead of anywhere within a three mile radius. The shuttle was still extremely helpful, and this wasn't that big of a deal, but it should have been properly advertised on their website ahead of time.

EVERYTHING! The customer service was outstanding, the rooms were large and very clean. Awesome location (it's worth the extra $ to have a water view room). I liked that they offer a free shuttle to Jack London Square. Parking at this hotel is FREE (unlike some other hotels nearby). The pool and bar is really nice, too. There wasn't anything I disliked about this hotel. I will definitely stay if I'm in the area again.
The staff was pleasant and the shuttle service was a nice convenience. Initial room assigned was already occupied. Hallways had an unpleasant odor. Building, rooms and furnishings all seemed in need of updating.
A safe spot in oakland
Nothing I wanted to cancel my reservation as soon as I knew it was not needed. However, the hotel and priceline refused to cancel the reservation and charged me the full amount even though I did not use the room.
We liked that the hotel is close to the coliseum BART station and we like that you are also pretty close to a Walmart shopping center. We also liked that it was near the O.co Colisium and an Arena! It's a pretty nice hotel overall, except the street it is on is kinda sketch. Definitely not a street I would be on at midnight.

The location of this hotel is worse than Kabul. Don't bring your children here. Spend $20 more and stay ANY place else. Ask for a room with no windows because you won't want to look outside.
Restaurant was surprizingly good. Rooms excellent. We used the laundry, which was also good.
The best part of this hotel was the daytime shuttle driver. Everything else fell below expectations. We had booked a room with two queen beds and got a King suite instead. The morning manager insisted that I had booked the King suite until I showed her my printed confirmation that showed two queen room. No apology from her, just that they were booked up and couldn't fix the problem. When I asked if the queen sofa bed was made up, she assured me it was. After a long day in San Francisco, we called for the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the Bart Station. The night manager was not helpful when we asked where to stand to wait--just that the shuttle would be there in 15 minutes. We waited 45 minutes and finally had to get a cab. When I asked the night manager where the shuttle was, he insisted that it was there and picked up two clients ( not us). He never said he was sorry about us having to pay for a cab. Then, the sofa bed had NOT been made up. Night manager brought up sheets and said that we would have to make up the bed ourselves because there was no one else to do it. Again, no apology. If you like paying over $200 a night for terrible customer service, this hotel is for you.

we didnt like much. they didnt include on the web that the hotel is going through massive renovations. pool was closed which we wanted to use so badly during our short vacation. The gym was also out of service. it was very disappointing of an experience.
Location The whole place smelled dusty due to the construction-- I booked a 300 dollar room and they said that there was no running water--- moved me into another room with no view but not any cheaper
Food at 360 was great. Beds were comfy. No microwaves in room. No liquid coffee creamer, just powder.
Room layout, beds, a lot of outlets, very clean HUGE construction project in the middle atrium, hence noise and no restaurant. Bathroom amenities very, very limited - need to ask for basic things like Q-tips and other (yes, they are available - a nice list in the room) but having only soap and shampoo in the room is not sufficient

Location Valet and bell hops were friendly and helpful. First check attempt was not successful due to a power outage that only affected the computers. Employee was also rude and really should find a job that does not involve working with people. Attempted to order food to go in the restaurant, after waiting for 25mns while the waiter was watching a football game we gave up and left. Rooms were dated and dingy. Would not recommend as a platinum passport member.
Rooms had beautiful view overlooking the hotel Lobby. Size of the rooms are nice. Waited for shuttle over 45 min.. a shuttle from a different Hotel was nice enough to drive us .at 2 am needed maintenance ac was not working .. bathroom was not clean toilet seats for dirty from the last person there.
Location. Under much needed renovation. Would have been nice to know at time of booking. Air filter so plugged air wouldn't flow. Toilet wouldn't stop running. Blood on comforter. No coffee maker in room. Not at all what you'd expect from a Hyatt. Staff was great when we told them about issues.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant and polite. We were staying for one night before having to be at the UCSF children's hospital the next day and we all slept like babies. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linen was very soft overall we had a great stay.

The hotel was near OAK, so it was convenient to check in after having been through a long flight. The front desk agent was friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a good stay. It would have been better if there was a container of hot water or coffee at all times in the lobby area.

The only thing that frustrated me was the lack of information about facilities and services. The staff member who checked me in gave very little detail about how things worked because there was a line of people waiting to check in. For example, I didn't know that the shuttle was only available at certain times and that I had to sign up for a time. I didn't know the hours of the cafe, etc. It would be helpful if all of this basic information was given out on a sheet of paper at check in so that I didn't have to keep calling the front desk to figure things out.
I was incredibly disappointed I'd made a reservation and when I'd arrived they did not have a room for me because they were overbooked. I arrived at midnight that night because I had a late flight in. They did not attempt to contact me to let me know. They paid for me to stay at another Courtyard Marriott that was 45 min away, which created additional challenges for me because it was 60 min in rush hour to my business meeting the next day. I was incredibly disappointed with their practice of overbooking.
Loved the peace and quiet. Didn't have to go far for food. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The sheets weren't fully clean ughh.. Had to have housekeeping change the sheets.
Not safe !!! Had to park down 2 blocks in parking garage !!! No hotel parking like listing said !!! No deals like we were PROMISED FROM KYACK !!! You could tell our ROOM WASNT CLEAN...THERE WERE USED TOWELS EVERYWHERE AND WHEN WE CALLED TO COMPLAIN ALL THEY SAID WAS HUH THATS STRANGE !!!! Lame not worth it if your looking to go to a show and dont want to worry about your stuff...THEN DONT STAY HERE !!!! I work at hotels and this was by far one of our worst experince !!!

convenient location to business in Berkeley and Oakland areas and easy on/off I-880 to get to airport. Staff was friendly. Large rooms and baths. Nice amenities. Gritty neighborhood that is trying to transition to be more upscale but it is hard to navigate, there's a lot of trash around and in the water. My room's view was of a forlorn half-sunk sailboat and a wall of graffiti.
I liked the views of the water. The gym was cool. Staff was great. Breakfast was nice. Rooms were spacious. Bathroom was lovely. Parking was easy. There was a very weird smell to the rooms. I went into my first room and asked to be moved and then upon entrance into second room on opposite side I realized they all smell lol. Weird we paid more for the best western over the executive suites their sister property but the sister property actually had the pool and hot tub and bar so had to walk over there. Still very close though. Someone had left a jacket in the closet and I guess the maids missed it. Pricey.
Nice pool, spa and exercise facilities. My kids had a blast at the pool - it was nicely heated and they enjoyed it despite the cooler February weather. Our room was below one of the hotel's restaurants. 6am on a sunday morning and isn't a great time to be woken up to the sounds of tables and chairs being moved. It's an old hotel so it's pretty loud. When I checked out they gave me a bit of a discount and said that when we checked in that the front desk should have warned us that our room was loud... they really just shouldn't rent out the rooms or if they do charge less.... but they'd rather put guests in a position where they have to complain to get a discount. Even with the discount if was an expensive weekend that wasn't as restful as you'd expect for the money.

Location - close to everything including freeways. Facilities were excellent -- pool, exercise room, etc. They treated me like a second class citizen because I booked not directly through them. Promised me a fridge and I had to find a facilities guy who didn't talk to the front desk to get one. Told me there was a free breakfast buffet, but then it wasn't free.
Wonderful location. Grand old building which has been well maintained. It had been some years since I last stayed there and the place seemed in better shape than it was.

Staff was very good. Room service excellent and the pools were great. I asked for a taxi to take me to SFO. Instead of a taxi, they had reserved a sedan which was more expensive than a taxi. I thought it was a little bit cheesy. I'm sure that some people want to drive to the airport in a fancier car but they should specify. I asked for a taxi, not a town car.
Our oasis on the hill! The Claremont is a special place and I return there whenever I can; the location is central yet private and the staff is friendly, attentive, helpful and genuine. Each staff member, from the housekeeping staff to the manager, smiles and greets guests and is not only ready, but willing, to make your stay enjoyable. When there was an issue at check-in with the room assigned. Frank Flynn quickly and apologetically gave us another room with no question. In chatting with Fracesco (I'm sure I have not spelled his name correctly-my apologies!) in the lobby, we told him we were headed into the city the next day; he not only cautioned us about traffic and crowds in the Golden Gate Park area due to a concert, he recommended alternative areas to visit-and when he saw us a couple of days later, he asked how our trip went! A special shout-out also to Mohammad and Zachary who took care of us for breakfast in the Meritage restaurant-their service standards and guest treatment should be the envy of fine dining establishments everywhere. They made the start of our days happy and pleasant and really made an impact of the pleasure of staying at the Claremont! The charm of an old beauty like the Claremont is also sometimes what makes you miss some things you might find in a newer hotel; the HVAC system can be unreliable and loud, the bathroom does not have an exhaust fan, etc. But having noted that, the graciousness of the wide hallways and high ceilings easily make you overlook those modern facility differences!
Loved the look of the place from the outside..altho you quickly feel like an inconvenience being shuffled out of the way. The hotel is rich with history and has very nice decor..the room was big, with a big bathroom. The trexk to the room was ridiculous, having to take two elevators and very long walks on different levels while carrying your things. The room floor needed vacuumed, you could feel stuff on the carpet. After we checked in, we left to go get dinner and you can't get out of the gate without a special card given at the front desk. Well guess what- oh, and it cost $30 for this parking privilege.
The Sunday buffet at the Meritage was very good. The lap swimming in the pools and 3 free hours of childcare included in the resort fee was also very nice and an unexpected bonus. Ridiculously overpriced for what it was. $26 resort fee and $30 valet fee on top of over $200/night for a tiny old room that wouldn't even pass muster at a Best Western? The room was awful - outdated, small, old, musty and generally uncomfortable. Noisy from the hallway, the bed was saggy, the comforter stained and 2 adults plus a baby in a crib were way too many to fit in a tiny standard room.
We liked the overall vibe and style. We didn't like the inconsistent customer service and the room vibrated from the restaurant's exhaust fan. (We moved to another room.)
Nicest hotel staff I've encountered in a very long time. They were incredibly accommodating to myself, my husband, and my 2 year old daughter. We had an overnight stay for a connecting flight and the hotel is extremely close to the airport with a very quick and frequent airport shuttle bus. We happened to be stuck there with a delayed flight on my daughters 2 year birthday and when the staff found out they gave us an extended check out and treated the birthday girl to pasta and a birthday brownie. It was a really pleasant surprise for a tired and traveling family. Thank you Westin!!!
The hotel was clean & pretty well maintained. The staff were not helpful or friendly. The pool was freezing. The wifi was $10 and parking was very expensive. I was hoping for a nice quick pleasant overnight stay. It was quick but not so pleasant.
We liked having a free shuttle to the airport as well as the indoor pool. It was great for our one year old to swim and get some energy out before a cross country flight. Staff were very accommodating and provided us with a crib for the room. The hotel restaurant was very expensive, but this is not surprising for San Francisco.

Parking is $25 Come on. Also, Westin withheld $100. from my card for "incidentals" wi/o notification. The cheesy glasses in the room were carefully encased in cheap plastic wrap with the prepared label "SPG Members" affixed to the bottom of each glass, alerting the non-SPG Members that they would be charged for unwrapping the household plastic wrap from the glass if they dared to venture to drink from actual glass rather than from the plastic UNlabeled "glass" next to the special SPG one. The tub drained poorly. This hotel is full of itself and not much else in terms of service and ambiance.

Hotel provided shuttles every 15 minutes to the airport. They dropped you off at your gate. Very nice.
The staff was very helpful and the conference rooms and facilities were very nice and what you would expect from the Westin. Room was clean. Good location First thing I was thoroughly disappointed in was the pillows. After traveling I was tired so I immediately fluffed up the pillows to lay down for a short nap. But the pillow cases sounded and felt like paper!!! And 3'outnofnthen4 pillows were so lumpy and flat, not one firm pillow and that combined with uncomfortable pillow cases I woke up with a neck ache. Bed was uncomfortable . And the sound level in our room was so LOUD that we were woken several times by people walking by talking and each room to either left or right we heardbeverybtime the toilet flushed and every conversation or slammed door. Very disappointed in my stay this time. Better soundproofing the rooms..it felt like paper thin walls!
Through Expedia I got a great deal to stay at the Westin for 3 nights and it was great! I stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and even though it was a holiday the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice shower, awesome beds and it's close to the bay so you can just walk outside for a beautiful veiw and walk. Also has a free shuttle and is a short walk to the BART station!

Like that it's close to oracle arena and bart system. Staff during day time was super nice and helpful. Thanks Jordan, John, and Jose the driver was great. Didn't like that there was no continental breakfast for us. The restaurant is nice but pricey. Literally there isn't any shops around hotel. You have to take the bart to get anywhere. Good for in and out business but nothing else.

Good location. Rooms are clean and well kept. My friends left 4-5 messages for me but when I checked, I was told there were no messages left for me. So I didn't get to meet up with my friends. Pretty bad.
The fire alarm went off at 5:00am and we had to walk down many flights of stairs. When we got to the lobby we were told it was a false alarm. After returning to the room to get some sleep before an international flight, the alarm kept going off every 15 minutes or so for the next 3 hours. This made for a stressful start to our vacation.
Quick check in and out, courteous staff, and the price was right. However, hotel shuttle took almost 30 minutes to make the full trip between the Hilton and the international terminal. The bedding had some small stains and bathroom was not entirely clean.
They charged extra fees.
The hotel feels like it has all of the upgraded tech and decor a geeky guy like myself want out of a hotel. It was clean, close to the airport, and didn't have any noise coming from any highways or streets. We arrived late in the evening after a long flight to find our room wasn't ready. (at 12:30am) The front office manager said the floors had been cleaned that day, so it might feel a bit damn in the halls. Feeling tried we said Okay, and got our room key and went right to our room. The first thing we see is carpet fans scattered all over the room with every moveable piece of furniture stacked on our beds. It took another 45min to get our room switched for one that didn't have any fans, and we were questioned like we made the entire thing up. Only issue we had was the miscommunication from the office manager regarding the overnight parking. I was told it would only be $14 and I would have to use the parking machine in the garage. Well, the machine charges $20 for overnight, and I had actually already been charged $14 for parking on my room bill. So i paid for parking twice...We had to leave for the airport or I would have fought it.
We stayed at the executive level and the amenities included with that were nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby is pretty run down and dated. The carpet in the lobby is very worn and dirty. The room itself was extremely clean and modern.
I loved the location to the airport, amazing views, modern vibe and look. Friendly staff! Big tvs!! Dinner was expensive in the hotel. For what it was I should have eaten at McDonald's. $100 mistake.
We needed a place to stay near SFO that provided free airport shuttle. I found this hotel on Kayak, and while it was more than I had planned to spend for one night, it was worth it! The bed was so very comfortable - I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! The room was exquisitely appointed and the staff was very accommodating despite there being a very boisterous party off the lobby - which spilled into the lobby at times. The front desk staff handled a group of small children who were taking items from the Market Place behind the desk extremely well! Thank you so much! More than I wanted to spend for a hotel room.
The hotel is very good, it has clean facilities and friendly staff. I recommend the hotel for anyone that needs to stay around the SF airport area. I did not like the nightly parking fee. It should be included in the room price.
Staff try hard to please This was my second state; the two were about a week apart. The first one was good, but there were lots of problems this time. The main one was with the key, which failed repeatedly. Also, I tried to print something in the business center, but it does not have a printer and the one at the desk (which was supposed to be accessed via the business center) also failed.

Overall the room was very comfortable and well decorated. The bathroom has a slight smell but it did not look dirty in any way. There is a restaurant on the premises so that made it easier for me on a business trip to relax and get work done before my meeting. Plenty of parking. Smell in bathroom and they charge for printing from the business center.
The room was clean and comfortable The staff was horrible. Didn't seem like they cared at all. Upon check in the lady at counter was watching something on her tablet and continued to watch it while I standed there and waited to be checked in. Totally rude and unprofessional.
The room was great. Did not get to spend too much time in it though. Morning clerk was great! Clerk who checked us in was not in good mood and it really showed. She was very short and seemed like we were bothering her. Others were being given complementary water. We were not. We were unsure where to go in parking lot and building. We were not told of the free breakfast and missed it completely.

Mother-in-law & I were in a room for the disabled. It was obviously not put together with input from a handicapped person. But it was clean, quiet and comfortable.
Very friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk. I had to drop off our rental vehicle the night before leaving Oakland and they actually came to pick me up from the rental facility to take me back to the hotel. In the morning I caught the hotel shuttle to the airport. The shuttle driver was friendly and helped with everything we wanted to do, even suggesting places we could eat nearby. The free breakfast at the hotel was Fantastic with lots to choose from. The rooms were comfortable with good amenities in the bathroom. There was a strong smell of mothballs in the stairwell and hallway of the back right wing of the hotel where we stayed. That had me scared a little as we came in but the rooms were fine and clean.
Service at checking and checkout is outstanding. The desk person was so friendly, offering additional information. That made our stay more enjoyable. Finding ice was tricky.

AJ was very accommodating and super helpful by getting us ferry times and recommending restaurants to eat. Extremely friends front desk staff. Room was very nice and we were pleasantly surprised to find a microwave and fridge in the room. We go into the Amtrak terminal late and walked to the hotel, not very far but still a little scary. Some people just asking for money.
This is a simple place with a nice courtyard and pleasant rooms. Nothing fancy but good. Central location. The furniture was a bit cramped for the space.

The inn was clean and it was less expensive than staying in San Francisco. The train is way too close and there are a lot of homeless people and sex workers around. The hotel is located in a strange area that has nice waterfront restaurants but also has a porn theatre and sketchy bars.

Cheaper alternative to the more expensive waterfront hotels in the area. Great food at the diner next door. Parking cost $15/day. You can hear people walking above your room if you're on the 1st floor.

Our trip to jack london was great.the location was perfect there were plenty to do right outside our hotel.rooms where clean and bed where better than expected.front desk was the only down side we waited 1 hours because our rooms where not ready and we gotno apologies. Location was ideal for business, food & nightlife in downtown Oakland. 2 blocks from BART. Rooms are nicely updated while still maintaining old-school charm. Rooms are a bit snug and sink is in bathroom but c'mon people this building is 100+ years old. You're clearly not at a Courtyard Marriott, embrace the history. Surprisingly good water pressure for an older building. I stayed on second floor above the entrance and there was a ton of street noise that woke me up in the morning--trash pickup at 5 AM, loud truck running and pallet unloading for Smart & Final next door at 6 AM. Not really hotel's fault but something to be aware of--choose a higher/rear facing room or bring a loud fan. It was nice they provided it but breakfast was bare minimum. Staff was friendly but staff rushed through check-in as quick as possible. Shampoo but no conditioner in bathroom.
Strange experience altogether. Checkin gentleman was a little uncomfortably flirtatious while the morning staff person at checkout was unfriendly and curt. Elevator out of service and was only offered a free cancellation verses a discount. Incredibly noisy room, awkward layout. At $170 with tax, definitely not worth the overall experience. Would not recommend ot stay at again.
Affordable, clean and spacey rooms. Comfortable. No bath, but a nice big shower instead! :) Complimentary breakfast is rather primitive. Saturday night was noisy as a band was playing in the bar next doors (Halloween). Around 1 AM everything was quiet. The rest of the week was quiet as well.
The price was great. There was quite a bit of cleanser left in the shower, but it was clean!

There for the California Bar Exam and the stay at the hotel was pleasurable (more than could be said for the exams)! Polite attentive hotel staff. Well cleaned and comfortable rooms. Location is perfect with uptown a short walk away for business and jack london square a short walk the other way for restaurants.
Very comfortable room and bed, friendly staff, good location near The Fox Theatre and lots of bars and restaurants. No hot water to speak of, wifi only worked for about 5 minutes.

Convenient locatation, gated parking. The rooms are tired. When you walk in the room its hard to believe that this is a Hilton property. This goes for the mini lobby in each of the satellite buildings. Needs a complete makeover or become a new company line called Hilton dormatory .

The device doesn't have this problem with other networks, so the problem seems to lie in the network itself somewhere. There is free Internet in computers in the lobby, and I would recommend using that instead.

Would prefer to have internet access available in all rooms and included in hotel rates. Restaurant staff (waitress and kitchen) is slow and food is fair at best, especially for breakfast.
I liked the location to oracle arena and the coliseum. What I didn't like was the squeaky floor above. EVERYTIME someone walked in the floor above you could hear it.

Right next to the highway and airport. The first Night i stayed i was charged a $100 security deposit after already paying in full for two nights. I was told it will be refunded in 5-7 business days. I was there in July on the 14th......It's now September and multiple calls in and still haven't been payed back. it's a very convenient hotel for travel but watch what your charged if you've already made reservations.

Literally nothing is good about this hotel except its closeness to the SFO airport. Period! If you EVER have to stay there, NEVER get a room in building 7, it has some of dirtiest rooms I have ever seen in my life. Filthy rooms with suffocating carpet and smoke smell Careless, unfriendly staff (except a lady named Maira, she is super nice). It's obvious that the hotel is under careless ownership and management. I'm REaLLY surprised they still hold the Travelodge license!
The front staff went into back room, opened my luggage, and stole an expensive pair of eye glasses: I trusted them with my luggage after check out before flying out at night. The pair of eye glasses cost four times my stay, so it definitely wasn't worth it! I would never stay at this location again, and after OMRAN never returned my calls, I'm reporting them to Travelodge franchising and demanding explanation about why my calls were never returned and staff were allowed to steal my property without a manager getting involved. OMRAN, the manager, is inexistent! I called and left him a number of messages, but he never returned them. They told me first day after stolen gasses that he was sick, and a week later, he was still sick. All he needed to do is return my messages, and promptly, but never did, not even three weeks later. Everytime I call this Travelodge location, the phone has to ring for 5-10 minutes before placed on hold, then disconnected, then call again, and repeat, until an hour later, yes an hour, before front staff talk to me. They really need an extra front staff or manager on mobile to answer phone: so unprofessional! For the price you're paying at a location so isolated from anything San Francisco, it is not worth it even if I wasn't robbed: go somewhere they answer the phone from first three rings. If you have a problem here, you're on your own! Beware! There really are better options downtown and with BART, you get to airport much faster than waiting half hour for their shuttle, which doesn't run late night (if you're downtown on Fri or Sat night, plan to leave downtown by 10 PM or you'll miss the shuttle to this location). I would not recommend this location even if you're waiting for a flight: it's faster taking BART to airport, which takes half time less than the 45-minute shuttle (with drop off), about 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco. Again, there are better options downtown. Don't stay here: if the front staff robbed me, what did they leave for housekeeping? Not worth it.

This place is extremely close to airport and can be booked via most travel sites at a really low fee in comparison to other places in area. it is a borderline "bring your own sheets" kind of place. The rooms are run down and in the room I had the weatherstripping under the door was mostly detoriated leaving a big gap causing a major draft all night
Location Dirty, cigarette butts everywhere, and creepy sort of people have residences here.
The staff was amazing. Some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time. They had fruit and candy out and everyone smiled and was helpful. It was wonderful.
The linens were the most comfortable of any hotel I have ever visited, and I have stayed at some of the world's most luxurious hotels. The TV has a huge screen and a supremely clear picture. 4K?? The location is very close to the rental car return agencies. Very clean. The only drawback was the check in. I asked for a quiet room with a bathtub. The first room I was assigned had soaking wet carpet from a recent shampoo. Instead of bringing me a key to another room I had to go down to the lobby again and wait for what seemed like an eternity for them to assign me a different room. The person at the front desk (Yolanda?) laughed when I explained the reason i had to change rooms. Then they had a lot of difficulty figuring out which rooms on the quiet side of the hotel had bath tubs. Once I got to the room however I was extremely comfortable and the room was super quiet. A/C could use a slight boost.

The hotel is easy to access and the quality of the rooms is very high. Not far from the city and really close to the airport Great view of the plane landing and taking off without the sound. very friendly staff A bit on the high side for the price depending on the day you stay.
Room furnishings were very nice and modern. Bed very comfortable. Loved the glass shower doors and bathroom amenities. Staff very friendly. Free airport shuttle very convenient. Overall great experience. Tried express check-out via telephone and TV menu but neither worked. Had to checkout at front desk but luckily there was no wait. Would prefer express checkout.
It was very nice, location felt safe. Staff was friendly. Pillows and blanket were goose down, very comfy. $25 parking. You run into expensive parking so much in downtown San Francisco that it would have been nice to have lower or none there. The lounge staff, while friendly, seemed to need more staffing. It took a while to be greeted or get our bill. There was no fan in the bathroom so while showering it got very hot fast. They had to add on a hold for an extra $100 on my debit card, just because it was a debit. It's refundable but it has yet to be removed from my bank statement.
Love the convenience and ease for travelers. The pool- though small for serious workout, hot tub, and work out room is great.

Free parking. We stayed here because there weren't any rooms free in San Francisco which was our destination. We stayed here for 4 days and overall it was very good. The biggest plus is polite and extremely friendly owner and his son who did us a favor after something went screwed with our reservations. Rooms are fairly clean, and really spacious with a tv inside. I gave max points for location but for Oakland, for San Francisco this location is good only if you have a car. We found some hair on the pillow on the first night. There was always problem with towels, every night we asked for 2 big towels for showering, and got them, but the next morning we would again be given 2 small ones. Got soap only after asking for it. Wireless working a bit, and then not working...
The hotel looked a little dingy from the outside, so we were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the room. We got a free upgrade at check in which we were very happy with. The room had free wifi and we could park our car close to the room for free. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the bart station, so it's quick and easy to get to Berkeley. The neighborhood is not too nice, it's not a good place to walk around by yourself after dark and there was some noise outside during the night.

They had great customer service and the rooms were super clean. The bathroom, while clean, could use a bit of a face lift. This isn't necessarily a con, just a suggestion.

for trips to san francisco the hotel is very good located - near the highway; the rooms are very nice and clean the location of the hotel is in a dangerous area of oakland (we found out afterwards); someone broke in our rental car (nissan versa 4) and stole our holder for the navigation system .. not very important or expensive but because of the broken window in our car we had a lot of trouble; the hotel stuff didn't help us in any way to solve our problems .. they didn't even gave us the phone number of the police station ...
