Lovely location on the water - view of the castle and harbour. About a 15 minute walk on level ground to the centre of town. Nicely equipped room with comfy bed, view of the castle. We had some of the best massages here for a very good price. The buffet breakfast was expansive and delicious. We had lunch here - and I had the most beautiful salad I have ever had, edible flowers included. There are quite a few children at this hotel, but that's fine. Bicycles to rent. Didn't use the pools or spa but most people do, I believe (for an extra price). We just found this hotel VERY relaxing, calm and lovely.
The bathroom was a little interesting - fully tiled and more of a "wet room" style that North Americans aren't really used to, but it was fine.
The hotel was situated in a very quiet and picturesque location, within a stone's throw of Kuressaare Castle and the town center. Room was spacious, with all the necessary facilities (with the exception of an iron and an ironing board that could easily be requested at the reception). Breakfast was versatile and filling. The spa area had two pools and three saunas, which, in my opinion, was the perfect match for a tranquil weekend stay. And, if you are a feline lover, watch for the prominent brown cat that occasionally may be taking a stroll next to the docks beside the hotel.
Bike rental cost, quite expensive for 1night
Very nice spa hotel at the seaside in Kuressaare. We had a room with a balcony with a beautiful view to the seabay and the Kuressaare castle, Fantastic breakfast included in the price and very good on-site restaurant in the hotel. The pools are small, but fine. Good bathrobes and spa towels are provided in the rooms. You can also rent quite nice city bikes from the hotel. Overall very nice place for a relaxing week-end.
A furniture for the balconies would be great - it is not so relaxing to sit on the wood stumps! It would be nice to include the pools entrance in the price - they do not do it for booking.com reservations. Also it would be nice to separate the pools with small children and pools where small children are not allowed.
Acceptable room and ok location.
Too expensive for what it is. And no shower curtains? The bathroom gets wet and you have a squeegee to clean the floor? Seriously.
The hotel is located near the marina, the city park and a spectacular castle of XIII century bishop that make the spa is a great place to explore the picturesque island.
