Top tips for finding the perfect Madrid hotel

• The quality of Spanish hotels is strictly regulated, making the grading system uniform across the country. In Madrid, as long as an establishment is considered to be a hotel you can usually expect to find a free breakfast and at least one on-site restaurant. For complimentary wi-fi, televisions, mini bars, and outdoor areas with pools, you usually have to book a hotel that has a minimum of three stars.
• Interested in exploring Madrid’s nightlife? If so, book one of the many hotels located in Gran Vía, such as the Regente. Gran Vía is an upscale street and home to many famous clubs and bars, plus a variety of shopping opportunities. No matter what time of day it is, this street is always packed with tourists and locals.
• If you would like to be centrally located in a hotel near Madrid’s best museums, bars, and restaurants, book a room right in the city center.
