The reception staff was resolutive but I think they were a little bit short of time to manage.
Location: Near the airport (hotel provides free airport transfer and it takes around 15 min on a weekend's night), shopping mall at a 7 mins walk, quiet zone. Rooms: Confortable, clean and functional. Hotel: Free wireless in the rooms, free internet access zone (for those that do not carry any device), a wiizone if you want to chill out playing some console games, reasonable breakfast. The free transfer back to the airport was overbooked.
very clean and smart hotel the food in the dinner restaurant, was served steak and potatoes, overcooked and no vegetables or salad
The location to the airport. Not easy to get to public transportation from hotel to downtown area.
For a 1 day layover in Madrid, best of 5 hotels, many similar that I have experienced. Will book here again. Great internet.
Great hotel, but far from everything, in a middle of a industrial/commercial area. If you arrive late, it's difficult to find some food to grab.
Nice modern hotel, well fitted out. It was very hard to get a taxi to take us to the hotel late at night as it wasn't a long enough fare for them. 2 taxis refused to take us.
Staff were very helpful and buffet breakfast was excellent No
It was clean, calm ,and the facilities very correct. The transport to the aereoport very good idea. The restaurant
Very moderm, clean and efficiant. Great staff, simple comfortable design. Close to a large shopping centre with food and supermarket facilities and a great airport shuttle service. Amazing showers. Nothing to complain about at all.
Appealing Building, modern, internet free available, computers available. Slow checkin at late evening, Breakfast little bit disappointing, scrambled eggs 2 mornings cold, cold draught trough breakfastroom. Asking for the way to Centre Madrid, received poor and incomplete information resulting in unnessecary waste of time to get to the centre. No Madrid Maps
Only stayed here for a night in between flights and it offered everything we needed. Loved the free shuttle to and from airport. This saved us a lot of money not having to buy a taxi. Also, the room was a lot larger than expected and very clean and modern. It's not really close to anything other than the airport though, so don't book here if you're looking for a good vacation spot.
Cool design, friendly staff, good restaurant, close to airport slow wi-fi, no workspace for business traveler, small gym
Thi is one of the best hotel in Madrid, one of the best in the world. I'm travelling alot, but this is the best hotel i've staied in. The desing is different in each room, in the room u have a real king size bad. The service is perfect. Donstairs there is a restaurant, i would recomment to visit it. I'll come back again.)
the design of the hotel
Front desk staff was very responsive. Hotel architecture, floors, rooms, etc are amazing. Never saw anything like them! The restaurant staff was terrible. We were two businessmen dressed in suits. We entered the restaurant at 9:15 pm; It was not busy but had a number of tables with patrons. We walked out at 9:40, having gotten not so much as a glass of water, or even a nod in our direction, let alone an "Ill be right with you." Instead the 3-4 waiters and the captain never even made eye contact with us. So we went to the desk and got a recommendation to a very good restaurant right down the street.
Facilities, food, service internet and web connection wifi did not work
Very ecological Staff was very friendly Staff was always helpful Very unique floors Excellent breakfast I wished the room's shower had had a door for privacy (second floor)
The Silken Puerta America is a very well designed hotel. It is completely different to any other hotel I have experienced before. The location was poor, being 5kms from Sol / Plaza Major, which is a little too far to walk. Perhaps if they offered a shuttle service to drop guests into town.
Design of the room and bars. SPA is very small and poor.
design. nothing at all.
Rooms were modern, hallways narrow and dark. Only 2 English speaking television stations (CNN, BBC News). Internet access was simple and reasonable. Staff were very efficient and polite. Breakfast was very expensive (25 Euros) for a buffet. This is more than double what the price should have been. No desk the room, so had to use a small coffee table for business and computer requirements.
The rooms were beautifully decorated. Each floor has an invidual motif. The staff at check in were courteous and efficient. I enjoyed the experience of choosing the style of room on an iPad. While waiting for staff to fix my door (keycard would not work), I decided to wait at the main bar on the top of the hotel. one side was marked for a private party, one wasn't. I went to the unmarked side, ordered a drink, and as I was about to pay, the bartender asked if I was part of the event. I told him no and he said that he couldn't serve me and took the drink away. I informed him that I was a guest of the hotel and that this area was not marked as reserved. His manager apologized but asked me to leave. This added insult to injury of being locked out of my room. Were it not for an early flight and the hotel's free shuttle, I would have checked out that instant. Furthermore, the hotel is poorly located in the middle of a boring residential neighborhood. It may be a good value for anyone about to travel but the device and amenities do not merit 5 stars.
Amateur front desk staff and missing informations
Nice hotel. Good location. Nearby airport and some nice bars for a late tapas. Girl at the front desk not realy friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean and realy comfi.
The hotel restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly even though not very helpful as expected The bed has four wheels which may slide while sleeping on it.
The staff was really nice and helpful. The free shuttle to the Madrid International Airport is a bonus. This is not a negative comment. Travelers just have to be aware that the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and that there seems to be a very few restaurants around. There is a chinese restaurant just around the corner but I chose to eat at the hotel restaurant on the terrace. Service and food were really nice (Spanish menu). Did not have a chance to try the buffet breakfast (but it looked nice) as I needed to go to the airport early. I would have liked to just have a cup of coffee before the shuttle arrived but was told I could not... needed to eat for that... Maybe the restaurant management could consider selling just coffee at the counter to clients who are not interested/or choose not to eat a big breakfast in the morning.
Spacious bright modern rooms that were very comfortable The transfers are not 24 hours as they claim, and the location is only suitable for business travellers or those that don't mind being out of town
Near to subway and airport They say it has a free shuttle to airport but it's not marked that it is only available certain fix hours. We had to take a taxi
closeness to airport, price and comfort of beds ...modern amenities airport shuttle took one hour to come to get me and only after I called to get it to come to Terminal 1 -- shuttle bus not available until 7am in morning which was not suitable as I needed transport at 6am -- shared taxi with other guest which worked out well. Dining in-room astronomical and diningroom had poor selection and expensive prices. I arrived late and had few choices.
Design and comfortabilty of the rooms and the place in general We asked for some ice cubes and, yes they gave us, but into a plastic bag, I guess they should be prepared for such eventualities and place ice cubes into a bowl
Stayed here July, 14, 09. Great hotel, excellent buffet breakfast. Very high tech brand new hotel. Some reviews I'd read said it was "cold feeling" and noisy. I found neither to be the case. Slot of glass & chrome can seem a bit cold to some people but I enjoyed the modern design. It is obvious they spend a huge amount on the interior design. I really liked the hard wood floors in the room. A very clean feeling as compared to hotel carpet. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. With all the glass the maids must have to work very hard to get it all spotless & streakless. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful planning our short td in Madrid. Only complaint is the "free airport shuttle" only runs 7 to 11 am and 7 to 11 p The "free airport shuttle" only runs 7 - 11 am and 7-11 pm. That's not how the free shuttle is advertsed. We had to take a taxi upon arrival at 4:30 pm for acost of 27 Euros. But did get the free shuttle back to the airport the next day as it was within their time slot. You need to sing up for the shuttle ahead of time to make sure you get on it. About a 20 minute trip to the airport so if you are running tight and miss the shuttle itaynot be back for some time. Took several taxis to the hotel all had trouble finding it as it is off the beaten path . Had to use our cell phone to call the hotel so they could direct the drivers. Be sure to take their business card so you can give to the driver & call if necessary. But it is worth it
facilities are good shutall bus has limited time
Room style Too cold temp. in the breakfast area and too hot in the rooms
Hotel was very reasonably priced, convenient to two metro lines, room was confortable, staff were friendly Room was just a little too warm, however, I was able to open the window.
Hotel is well situated for shopping and the Retiro, very easy to get to by car, but see comments below. Despite assurances by phone that parking would be no problem, no space was available. A hotel of this size should have spaces, or at least access to public parking. Reception and lifts are overwhelmed at peak hours. I have stayed here often, but it's showing signs of a lack of care. Good hotel if the price is right.
Location, size of room The sauna was not working and the staff was not very apologetic about that. Our room was also not ready on time.
Very pleaseant staff, very well equipped hotel, one of best I have had the pleasure to stay in for some time. Certainly to be reccomended nothing
Restaurant menu was a bit poor.
This hotel was great value.Staff were very helpful on places to eat and things to do.Its is 2mins from a metro station which you can get straight from the airport.
The staff was friendly, helpful and most spoke at least some English. Very helpful in a foreign city. The hotel was just 2 blocks from the Metro. It was very modern and clean. Most signs, menus and notices were in both English and Spanish. The beds were more firm than I was used to and the pushed-together twin beds would separate creating a crack in the middle making it difficult to sleep close to my wife.
The staff, comfort and location were very good The poached eggs for breakfast were very poor. They were cooked, tasted of and presented in vinegar which soaked into the toast. My wife had to leave her full cooked breakfast as a result of this.
Pretty average hotel My room was not ready upon arrival and had to wait whilst it was cleaned, staff generally not too friendly, the 'gym' facilities are a joke - the singular machine was broken, the restaurtant is expensive ... i could go on - my advice is dont stay at this hotel - very poor
Clean room, good location and quiet. Good value.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and honest (I left a computer on counter and got it back)
Convenient to IFEMA coference center. Outgoing emails were blocked. Incoming worked fine. Far from city center.
Close to airport. Very clean. Staff speaks English and they are very helpful. Free shuttle to the airport every hour. Very clean and comfortable. Far from the city. An expensive cab ride or lenghtly bus/metro trip to go into Madrid. No food service available during non-meal hours, and no restaurants or shops close by to get snacks. No view of any sort.
Close to the airport, pool, free internet, huge king size bed was extremely comfortable, great value for money. Tip- there is a huge mall with shopping and restaurants about 10 min walk up the road. Just turn left out of the hotel and keep walking to the end of the road, its on your left. Lack of information! We were informed upon arrival that the airport shuttle does not run on sunday and we needed to take a cab. The night before our departure we requested to book a shuttle to the aiport only to put into a taxi and told the shuttle only runs at certain times and it was not the time we requested, at no point did anyone tell us otherwise. It cost 15 euros for a 5 min drive. The receptionist wasn't particularly friendly, but the doorman was lovely!
Good quality and reasonably priced hotel. New, clean, good helpful reception staff.
The staff was excellent, and went above and beyond in helping us, even with a language barrier!
clean, large room. Decent wifi not a touch of warmth or hospitality. No clock/alarm, no toiletries, no pictures.... even with reservations the bus to the airport was overbooked, tho they did get a cab for us. Not convenient for T4. In any case, a cab from the airport costs 20e.
almost everything the only way to relax, the swimming pool was open only at noon and (the worst) closed at 8 pm two hours before the sun goes down.
Room was spacious and comfortable, nicely equipped, staff was very professional and friendly, and overall excellent stay and great value for money. Airport transfer was a nice addition too. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Some of the facilities were a bit worn, could have used some maintenance.
We loved our stay in your hotel. The design was quite beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms were elegant and stylish. The breakfast was delicious with tasty fresh fruit and and lovely cooked breakfast.I really cannot fault the hotel and have already recommended it to our friends. We will definitely return to your hotel when we travel to Madrid. Many thanks and excellent job !
Proximity o airport and taxi service to airport
modern, centrally located. Able to get quiet ground floor room (no need to use elevator) location is in the Red Light District--many "characters" loitering about
The location and my room was cozy for a single occupant no cork screw in room -- minor
The location was GREAT!!!!! One block away from main street, so quiet in the evening, and perfect during the day. I would definitely stay here again!!!
Great location, double glazed for noise outside, which is abundant as it's right in the city center. Air conditioner, Tv monitor which is also a computer screeen. I didn't expect carpets on floors and some surfaces in a 4 star hotel and in a hot country like Spain. It makes the rooms very stuffy. Also the bath quite claustrophobic, narrow, left very little room for movement in what it looked like more like a niche in a cemetery.
Room was comfortable and great location Internet connection in the business centre was too slow!
Location & comfort of the rooms. Concierges were very helpful General off hand manner of all waiters and bar staff.
Staff courtesy ,amiability .Clean enviroment
The location was good. The staff was not helpful at all. There was a long queue at both check in and check out. Upon check in we were not given any instructions about the breakfast that was included in our rate and consequently we needless paid twice for our meal. Since we had booked online, the hotel was "unable" to make restitution. I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it. There are too many other wonderful options available in Madrid. establishment.
My boyfriend and I stayed here with extended family for a week. Great location, everyone that worked there was really nice/helpful and the rooms were great. So happy to have stayed here during our European adventure! Breakfast/buffet was not included in our stay but there are great little breakfast spots for a cheaper price right down the road from the hotel. workout facilities were a little older
Discovered bedbugs before going to sleep. Had to pack up my belongings in the middle of the night and move hotels. Staff had said they were going to pass along my contact information to the manager. Days later and I've heard from nobody.
Great room, nice size, clean bigger bathroom than expected. Terrific restaurant with delicious coffee and pastries. We arrived well ahead of check-in and were graciously given our 2 rooms hours early with a smile. The street noise could be heard in room, somewhat.
To be able to relax in the spa overlooking madrid. Seals in the bathroom, water leaked from the shower into the toilet/bathroom. Hotel overall was great.
ehi guys...this is really a luxury hotel. Everything is stylish...and don't miss dinner and breakfast at 30th floor!!!!! Quality of food is great!!! Maybe a little bit expensive...but...it is a five star...!!!
Design Internet free will be better
Basically everything. I travel a lot in my job and I believe this was my best hotel stay ever comparing price performance. I was really amazed by the standard, service and building design. Food and beverages too expensive, should be maybe 30% less.
Very good hotel, the silence in the rooms is great, the overall is impecable. Close to taxi and subway They didn't have VoD and iptv at the room, tv was bad
Country, Hotel and staff were exceedingly outstanding. Home away from home with excellent and Professionally tranined good and emotive people. Caring staff. More than value for money.
Mini Bar and Free Wi-Fi expensive breakfast
Excellent location. Clean, new.
All was excellent! All was pleasant!
Very nice comfortable hotel, close to the airport and not so far from town. I would definitely recommend it.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, although my Spanish skills are poor. Location of hotel near centre of Madrid and access to public transportation.
Location is excellent. The underground railway is right infront of the hotel. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. I lost my passport in Madrid and they were very kind to help me about that.
You should use the stairs for until second floor , then you walk across the corridor (long) to find the lifts.
Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms
Good facilities, practical location (metro, business area) and efficient hotel staff
Everything was excellent!
the central location
The room was pretty large and well furnished Maybe the fact that 2-3 waitresses , involved in the breakfast service , were not particularely motivated ( no smile ,...)
Stayed during a weekend and I had an very pleasant suit for a an affordable price. The beds and linen are fantastic, and the living room comfortable with sofa and chairs. Nice and big bathroom. Speedy internet and a fantastic view from the panorama windows. Don´t have room service. No direct entrance with car. Have to walk 200 meters.
Location, very close to Station
the airport picking up is one of the best things, and the room was very clean
The staff were very helpful and I was able to get a disposible razor from the reception.
free shuttle to airport, good value old, needs to be refurbished
was so easy to access the metro into the city. the noise of the work being carried out on the lifts, but it did not spoil our trip
the airport shuttle was a real plus. there are also several cafes/bodegas/restaurants. very difficult to drive to. the shuttle saved the day from the hotel.
Transfer from the airport Transfer to the airport (It seems there was only one van to take care of all the customers, of course ended up on a ride with a taxi rushing to catch the flight...
Location, near airport Shuttle bus in the morning we left to the airport was 15 min late, as we were booking; and the driver was very rude when we said we will be late...
good location, near airport and subway. The worst staff ever! Very badly informed, and not very nice. Everything was a problem. When I arrived I had dirty sheets, asked them to change them, and the next day I got dirty sheets again. Pay a lot of attention on the glasses at breakfast... half of them are not clean.
Our room was very clean and confortable. The bathroom was big and the lcd tv has an usb plug to see your movies or listen to your music. The room was cold when we arrived but after 10 minutes of heat regulator it was fine.
The view from my room, and the room service. The minibar wasn't filled up totally some times basically on first days...
Convenience for business meetings
convenience to metro system quiet clean rooms great staff nothing
quality of hotel no tea / coffee making facilities in room
Location, across from subway station. Only one stop from Chamartin train station. A supermarket is very close to it. Liked the fast food restaurants on the subway station, very convenient for a quick breakfast or dinner.
Location Room standard was not on par with price
A decent hotel which you not write home about. Very small rooms. Low value for money
It was close to the Tube station and on a well connecting main road. The room was very clean and the range of toiletries very impressive. no free wifi and it was expensive for 24 hours
The jacuzzi was nice. There were a lot of products in the bathroom. The receptionists were talking and kept us waiting. They didn't understand English very well. I asked to repair the shower twice which they didn't. The taxi driver was waiting for 10 minutes before the receptionist told us that he was there.
near metro and also renfe station, clean and comfortable no free wifi
We arrived at around 11:00 in the morning and they were kind enough to give us an "early check-in". Room was really clean and there was a very nice toiletry kit on the bathroom. Nice little restaurants around the area. Although not at city "centre", it was really easy to get around, especially on the red bus. Would recommend Gran Versalles to everyone!
The hotel is quiet, clean and the staff are attentive. the staff also spoke english which was a great help. I stayed at the hotel at the start and end of my visit to Spain and the staff were professional and helpful on both occasions. I liked the Hotel location as it was a nice area of Madrid and easy to get to the Metro station which was just round the corner. both the rooms I stayed in were air conditioned. The room I had at the end of my trip however did not have a control switch for the air conditioning and I found it a bit noisy.
The staff was nice and helpful although sometime English was a little limited. Right next to a subway station and although we had a street-side room it was quiet at night. breakfast is really over priced, just go to a cafe nearby.
The facilities at Gran Versalles was filled with comfort. The shower facility is different from the rest with separate shower head with clean towels and separated sink for each person. Thank you!
Nice place to stay as was within walking distance of all city ammenities but not in the center well its a 4* but would say its a border line 3* - 4*
location (easy walk to the museums or to sol and grand via), staff, can easily book excursions from the hotel. air conditioning is very low, but open the window and the room cools down. air conditioning is too weak to cool the room on its own.
The stuff is really nice. The breakfast was rather rich. Just small things - no remote control for TV, and for me the room was a bit too warm. Otherwise it is good place to stay.
it had good value for the money paid, and the staff was very helpful.
Very well connected to centre and various points of interest. It was cold during the night and even with 2 blankets we could not warm up. Bed was hard and not recommended to people with back problems. Several times at night and very early mornings we heard loud , extended noise, as if someone would move the furniture. It is still a mistery where this noise came from, very unlikely that the hotel guests made it. I would be curious to find out.
We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good. Staff most helpful. Very happy with location We had no complaint about Gran Versalles
Recommended. We parked a car there; the garage is a tight fit. Everything else about or room and the assistance we received was simply excellent. We did not dine at the hotel, but only because we had other commitments.
Realively close to airport, but not as close as perceived. Shuttle is only 1x hour and takes at least 30 minutes Sunday check-in. Food service in hotel limited and also in the walking area.
The Hotel Clement Barajas is our customary stay at the beginning and end of trips through Madrid Barajas Airport. It is close to the airport, and within easy walking distance of several local restaurants. It is clean and quiet, and staff are friendly. It offers good value for the price. The airport shuttle bus does not circulate continuously during the day, but rather must be called from the airport. This is inconvenient if one doesn't have euro coins.
Spacious clean comfortable.
The Hotel Clement Barajas is an excellent place for an overnight stay near Madrid's Barajas Airport. The hotel's airport shuttle isn't convenient for incoming flights, because it doesn't run continuously. One must call from the airport, and that's not always convenient if one has just arrived and doesn't have euros.
Complimentarty drinks in mini-bar fridge, a nice touch Poor internet - a bit iffy, wifi comes and goes - next time I will try a firewire cable
Good location for those who have an early flight. Shuttle to the airport is a bonus.Comfortable rooms, well equiped. Nothing, it wasn't the case
Convenient, clean, and efficient
shuttel from/to airport, nice bar at the hotel, wery cleen barhroom. nothing
free wifi. clean room. not enough english tv channels. no coffee making facilities in room.
Convenience. helpfulness of staff. arrrived at 2310 just before buffet closed no problem and pleasant
I arrived late in the evening and stopped by the restaurant before checking in to see about ordering food. I ordered my meal and checked in. Before too long a hot meal was at my door. The room was comfortable and had nice AC. I really appreciated the shuttle service and complete puntuctual service. Fantastic hotel and an awesome shower with multiple shower heads from head to toe that included a sound system! I loved it and wished I had my own! That there were more hotels like this on the rest of my travels for the price and convenience. Really great hotel near airport!
We stayed the night before our flight out of Madrid. It was perfect for this purpose. We arrived after dark and left in the early morning. The shuttle to the airport was easy. Our dinner at the hotel was very good. The staff was very helpful. The room was very nice and the bathroom and shower large. Nothing
Great location: shops, restaurants, bars and an underground station just around the corner. The room was quite spacious and had a small balcony. The staff was really friendly. The room was very noisy. To some point I do understand that because Gran Via is just under the window but then again the insulation of balcony doors could have been more proper and the windows thicker. And frankly, the room (inlcuding the bathroom) needs a serious updating. And there was no safety deposit box. Or there actually was one but it had no lock on it.
spacious rooms the variety of breakfast
service room standard not so good
Location View from the window on a interior court
the view from the balcony was superb. the room was large. no emphasis on free sauna etc
the ground of the bathroom was dirty around the WC. The frame of the door of the bathroom is broken.
good location. good hotel
Nice service from the staff N/A
Close to everywhere and clean room Nothing to dislike
breackfast 19 euros very expensive bar excellent
Hotel was very nice, modern and rooms spacious and stylish The staff are abismal. Receptionists act as if you are annoying them, restaurant staff are rude and do not ever smile, the only nice ones are the cleaning ladies. This doesnt normally bother me so much but they were just so depressingly unpleasant it did affect my stay without a doubt. They should sack the lot of them and start again with the amount of people who need a job in Spain at the moment!
Good location. Comfortable, ckean room. Good size
Nice room isolation
Room size, good A/C, and location The shower doesn't have lights, very slippy, and water gets out of the tub when showering.
Superb rooms, and perfect location! I found some of the staff members at the reception desk a bit intimidating.
New and clean.
Service, location and view were great. Rooms clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance to metro. Rates were very good as well.
Pleasant and friendly staff
Great location, close to anything and anywhere you want to be in Madrid. The room was too small.
Well I like the breakfast buffet that's all. This wrongly starred hotel do not offer airconditioning in their rooms ,do you believe that. If you are asthmatic do not stay here, super dusty rooms, damp bathrooms ,no airconditioning means no air filtration This hotel is 2 not a 4 star hotel , when you see the name you think well Petit is a nice name but when you arrive at the hotel you realize that everything is really petit indeed from the tiny reception ,to the tiny elevators, tiny restaurant, tiny room.
The hotel has been refurbished. It is very comfortable. A very nice option for a one day stay in Madrid, close to the airport. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport every 10 to 15 minutes. Very convenient. The metro station to Madrid is a five minute walk. Guests can use the pool from the next door hotel. Buffet breakfast is good and reasonably priced or included with the room price.
Convient to the Airport
Easy access from the airport. Room very clean and comfortable.
Very well-kept facility, excellent staff that were helpful at every turn. Very convenient to airport for traveling fliers. Excellent dining facilities. Excellent ground transportation services. No complaints
People at the hotel were very helpful and nice.
Room was more than adequate. The food was overpriced for the quality, and they would not allow us to bring hot tea back to our room in the morning!
very, very confused service at check-in on arrival
Close to airport. Shutle to airport Pillows
The Suite was excellent, well furnished and comfortable. Hotel staff were knowledgable, helpful and spoke excellent English. The courtesy minibus to the airport was convenient. We did not have time to have breakfast and yet the charge was added to our bill on checking out, which took a long time to sort out.The jacuzzi bath had dirt in the water jets which when started, suirted into the bath. Not pleasant. It meant we had to empty the water out of the bath and re-fill it. This was obviously resulting from inadequate cleaning.
Fast attentive personel at late night service. Very positive experience the last day of a two week rushed trip.
Good bedroom and the good shuttle service to airport
Really good clean modern rooms, friendly staff and the best shower ever! The wifi was really stop start and kind of annoying.
The hotel is close to the airport and the shuttle service functions perfectly. Staying in a hotel with 4* we expected to have a mini-fridge in the room. Unfortunately, it was not there. Also, the variety for breakfast could definitely be improved.
the people that works in here , are simply fantastic just one thing, the noise .... yo listening all in the room next to you
early check in straight from an early flight vending machines
hotel style is very nice and modern.
This hotel is very new, nicely decorated and stylish. Also very clean, good beds. The breakfast is not too continental. Only some toast, chocolate bread en fruit. Orange juice in a dispenser that leaked terribly. My hands were all orange-juice (and it was not just me; other guests had the same problem!)No cheese or meat to put on the bread, cold tea. This can be done much better: how about some eggs? Some more to put on the toast?
Would use again.
Easy shuttle from airport (though I had to wait 40 min. for the free shuttle, and you have to phone them to get it). Quiet, nice room. Bajaras suburb offers shops and restaurants and the metro is close. There should be an free Wi-Fi definitely. Because of this - and only this - I will book another hotel next time, because the others nearby offer this. Breakfast cheap but nothing more.
The room is nice. Good showers. Friendly staff
the friendly doormen It was great!
the decoration and attention to detail amazed us, stunning!!. beautiful hotel. staff very friendly and efficient. location superb, literally round the corner from neptune fountain, prado museum and thyssen museum. cocktail bar sooooo cool. restaurant mediteranean asian fusion not too expensive. and you might catch a glimpse of tom cruise as the church of scientology is across the road.
THe location was great, the room was very comfortable with a large bed. It was noisy becasue it was on the street and the walls are thin. Also think the staff could be knowledgeable about the area, especially place to eat.
The closeness to the centre The bar of the hotel was too small and uncomfortable
the staff were very helpful, room was clean
The hotel is situated in central Madrid on a surprisingly quiet street corner. Both the room and its bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped. Staff was polite and helpful, their english skills varied. We asked for a street side room for light on an upper floor for quiet and we got one but we had to take two lifts and walk a long lonely corridor between them. A bit creepy late at night!
Excellent location, everything worthwhile seeing within walking distance
Location is great, right in the middle of town, restraunts, bars tapas and shopping.my room was big although I took a superior room. There are no views from any room windows. I took the advice of other reviews and asked for a room away from corridor to be quiet Bad inroom breakfast. Also the morning buffet breakfast is not very exciting and too expensive
very good location but the rooms are too small. The breakfast was excellent.
very comfortabe, interior design was great..
We stayed at the hotel 4 days and what we liked most was it centric location, within walking distance to everything in old Madrid, and close to bus an metro stops. Plaza San Martin is at the very heart of the city and very close (5 minutes walking) to such city highlights as Plaza mayor, La Opera, Palacio Real, Gran Via, etc. Corte Ingles (the department store) is just around the corner, and also there is parking available (although pricey, $28 euros per 24 hours) just outside the hotel (parking belongs to Corte Ingles). If you have a car, do not park on the city streets as they are "residents only" parking. Breakfast is not included, and if you chose to eat at the hotel, it is pricey. Just walk to any of the coffee shops close to the hotel and have a good continental breakfast at very low price (2-5 euros).
The central location of the hotel near Pl.Mayor, Puerta del Sol
The location was perfect, the Jr. Suite offered plenty of room, the balcony was quite nice. The majority of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. 1 room the A/C and the hair dryer weren't working properly and that was never resolved. The parking was very expensive. Need to vacuum under the beds.
Location and access to points of interest.
The location is superb! In the city centre, next to the shopping streets, the city discos and with a choice of 3 metro stations. Good value for money too! The breakfast room on the 6th floor has one of the best views of the city. Our room saw the inner court since we had to chose between a double bed or a nice view....but that was ok actually, quiet and neat. The one and only elevator is sometimes too slow but the hotel is a restaured old building with a long history. Absolutely worth the experience!
Staff was very helpful (and most spoke english), quick response to requests (towels, room service), very good location near Callao metro stop Bathroom was cramped, you could smell cigarette smoke when running the ac
Breakfast too expensive
5 minute walk to Puerto Del Sol (Kilometer 0) and Plaza Mayor in Madrid. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful. A little tough to get to if you are driving your own car. As is often the case in Madrid, it is off a side, side, side street so more conducive to walking than driving in an out. Would have preferred a second bed in the room vs. a rollaway for our adult son, although it worked out okay.
I like its location ,near to metro stations (Callao and Sol) and well deserved . Also, breakfast buffet tasteful and good service . The room was confortable and space of its bathroom nicely shaped . This hotel is quite silence . Staff working at the Front Desk (ridiculous space !) lack of professional skills. Indeed , a no smart people . Also, at the first day of my stay (6 nights) , and in spite of my previous on line booking, they gve me a room without windows in the 1st floor .Smaller and noisy which standart can be compared with a one star in Eurpean hotel.
Well-located hotel. We had a top floor room that had a balcony that overlooke a monestery with its beautiful ancient tile roofs. No place to set up one, much less two, suitcases.
Their elevator is so unique! Very clean, amazing location for the money. Staff was really nice and helpful
Beautiful hotel, facing nice old square. Check-in took 30 sec. Comfortable and charming: old-fashioned elevator, bell epoque decor... Bathroom big, new and clean. my room on second floor had a vague smoking smell, I had to open a window while out for a dinner
