Very ecological Staff was very friendly Staff was always helpful Very unique floors Excellent breakfast I wished the room's shower had had a door for privacy (second floor)
Thi is one of the best hotel in Madrid, one of the best in the world. I'm travelling alot, but this is the best hotel i've staied in. The desing is different in each room, in the room u have a real king size bad. The service is perfect. Donstairs there is a restaurant, i would recomment to visit it. I'll come back again.)
Design of the room and bars. SPA is very small and poor.
design. nothing at all.
the design of the hotel
The rooms were beautifully decorated. Each floor has an invidual motif. The staff at check in were courteous and efficient. I enjoyed the experience of choosing the style of room on an iPad. While waiting for staff to fix my door (keycard would not work), I decided to wait at the main bar on the top of the hotel. one side was marked for a private party, one wasn't. I went to the unmarked side, ordered a drink, and as I was about to pay, the bartender asked if I was part of the event. I told him no and he said that he couldn't serve me and took the drink away. I informed him that I was a guest of the hotel and that this area was not marked as reserved. His manager apologized but asked me to leave. This added insult to injury of being locked out of my room. Were it not for an early flight and the hotel's free shuttle, I would have checked out that instant. Furthermore, the hotel is poorly located in the middle of a boring residential neighborhood. It may be a good value for anyone about to travel but the device and amenities do not merit 5 stars.
Cool design, friendly staff, good restaurant, close to airport slow wi-fi, no workspace for business traveler, small gym
Facilities, food, service internet and web connection wifi did not work
Front desk staff was very responsive. Hotel architecture, floors, rooms, etc are amazing. Never saw anything like them! The restaurant staff was terrible. We were two businessmen dressed in suits. We entered the restaurant at 9:15 pm; It was not busy but had a number of tables with patrons. We walked out at 9:40, having gotten not so much as a glass of water, or even a nod in our direction, let alone an "Ill be right with you." Instead the 3-4 waiters and the captain never even made eye contact with us. So we went to the desk and got a recommendation to a very good restaurant right down the street.
Rooms were modern, hallways narrow and dark. Only 2 English speaking television stations (CNN, BBC News). Internet access was simple and reasonable. Staff were very efficient and polite. Breakfast was very expensive (25 Euros) for a buffet. This is more than double what the price should have been. No desk the room, so had to use a small coffee table for business and computer requirements.
Amateur front desk staff and missing informations
The Silken Puerta America is a very well designed hotel. It is completely different to any other hotel I have experienced before. The location was poor, being 5kms from Sol / Plaza Major, which is a little too far to walk. Perhaps if they offered a shuttle service to drop guests into town.
Room was comfortable and great location Internet connection in the business centre was too slow!
modern, centrally located. Able to get quiet ground floor room (no need to use elevator) location is in the Red Light District--many "characters" loitering about
My boyfriend and I stayed here with extended family for a week. Great location, everyone that worked there was really nice/helpful and the rooms were great. So happy to have stayed here during our European adventure! Breakfast/buffet was not included in our stay but there are great little breakfast spots for a cheaper price right down the road from the hotel. workout facilities were a little older
The location was good. The staff was not helpful at all. There was a long queue at both check in and check out. Upon check in we were not given any instructions about the breakfast that was included in our rate and consequently we needless paid twice for our meal. Since we had booked online, the hotel was "unable" to make restitution. I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it. There are too many other wonderful options available in Madrid. establishment.
Staff courtesy ,amiability .Clean enviroment
Location & comfort of the rooms. Concierges were very helpful General off hand manner of all waiters and bar staff.
Great room, nice size, clean bigger bathroom than expected. Terrific restaurant with delicious coffee and pastries. We arrived well ahead of check-in and were graciously given our 2 rooms hours early with a smile. The street noise could be heard in room, somewhat.
Great location, double glazed for noise outside, which is abundant as it's right in the city center. Air conditioner, Tv monitor which is also a computer screeen. I didn't expect carpets on floors and some surfaces in a 4 star hotel and in a hot country like Spain. It makes the rooms very stuffy. Also the bath quite claustrophobic, narrow, left very little room for movement in what it looked like more like a niche in a cemetery.
The location was GREAT!!!!! One block away from main street, so quiet in the evening, and perfect during the day. I would definitely stay here again!!!
Discovered bedbugs before going to sleep. Had to pack up my belongings in the middle of the night and move hotels. Staff had said they were going to pass along my contact information to the manager. Days later and I've heard from nobody.
The location and my room was cozy for a single occupant no cork screw in room -- minor
Hotel is well situated for shopping and the Retiro, very easy to get to by car, but see comments below. Despite assurances by phone that parking would be no problem, no space was available. A hotel of this size should have spaces, or at least access to public parking. Reception and lifts are overwhelmed at peak hours. I have stayed here often, but it's showing signs of a lack of care. Good hotel if the price is right.
Pretty average hotel My room was not ready upon arrival and had to wait whilst it was cleaned, staff generally not too friendly, the 'gym' facilities are a joke - the singular machine was broken, the restaurtant is expensive ... i could go on - my advice is dont stay at this hotel - very poor
Very pleaseant staff, very well equipped hotel, one of best I have had the pleasure to stay in for some time. Certainly to be reccomended nothing
Restaurant menu was a bit poor.
Clean room, good location and quiet. Good value.
This hotel was great value.Staff were very helpful on places to eat and things to do.Its is 2mins from a metro station which you can get straight from the airport.
Hotel was very reasonably priced, convenient to two metro lines, room was confortable, staff were friendly Room was just a little too warm, however, I was able to open the window.
Location, size of room The sauna was not working and the staff was not very apologetic about that. Our room was also not ready on time.
The staff was friendly, helpful and most spoke at least some English. Very helpful in a foreign city. The hotel was just 2 blocks from the Metro. It was very modern and clean. Most signs, menus and notices were in both English and Spanish. The beds were more firm than I was used to and the pushed-together twin beds would separate creating a crack in the middle making it difficult to sleep close to my wife.
The staff, comfort and location were very good The poached eggs for breakfast were very poor. They were cooked, tasted of and presented in vinegar which soaked into the toast. My wife had to leave her full cooked breakfast as a result of this.
What I liked the most is how accessible to the metro it was. It was easy to get around Madrid and offered a quiet atmosphere which I very much appreciated. The staff was very friendly.
The hotel is quiet, clean and the staff are attentive. the staff also spoke english which was a great help. I stayed at the hotel at the start and end of my visit to Spain and the staff were professional and helpful on both occasions. I liked the Hotel location as it was a nice area of Madrid and easy to get to the Metro station which was just round the corner. both the rooms I stayed in were air conditioned. The room I had at the end of my trip however did not have a control switch for the air conditioning and I found it a bit noisy.
The staff was nice and helpful although sometime English was a little limited. Right next to a subway station and although we had a street-side room it was quiet at night. breakfast is really over priced, just go to a cafe nearby.
Very well connected to centre and various points of interest. It was cold during the night and even with 2 blankets we could not warm up. Bed was hard and not recommended to people with back problems. Several times at night and very early mornings we heard loud , extended noise, as if someone would move the furniture. It is still a mistery where this noise came from, very unlikely that the hotel guests made it. I would be curious to find out.
We arrived at around 11:00 in the morning and they were kind enough to give us an "early check-in". Room was really clean and there was a very nice toiletry kit on the bathroom. Nice little restaurants around the area. Although not at city "centre", it was really easy to get around, especially on the red bus. Would recommend Gran Versalles to everyone!
Recommended. We parked a car there; the garage is a tight fit. Everything else about or room and the assistance we received was simply excellent. We did not dine at the hotel, but only because we had other commitments.
it had good value for the money paid, and the staff was very helpful.
The facilities at Gran Versalles was filled with comfort. The shower facility is different from the rest with separate shower head with clean towels and separated sink for each person. Thank you!
The stuff is really nice. The breakfast was rather rich. Just small things - no remote control for TV, and for me the room was a bit too warm. Otherwise it is good place to stay.
Nice place to stay as was within walking distance of all city ammenities but not in the center well its a 4* but would say its a border line 3* - 4*
We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good. Staff most helpful. Very happy with location We had no complaint about Gran Versalles
location (easy walk to the museums or to sol and grand via), staff, can easily book excursions from the hotel. air conditioning is very low, but open the window and the room cools down. air conditioning is too weak to cool the room on its own.
good location. good hotel
Location View from the window on a interior court
spacious rooms the variety of breakfast
the view from the balcony was superb. the room was large. no emphasis on free sauna etc
the ground of the bathroom was dirty around the WC. The frame of the door of the bathroom is broken.
service room standard not so good
Nice service from the staff N/A
Great location: shops, restaurants, bars and an underground station just around the corner. The room was quite spacious and had a small balcony. The staff was really friendly. The room was very noisy. To some point I do understand that because Gran Via is just under the window but then again the insulation of balcony doors could have been more proper and the windows thicker. And frankly, the room (inlcuding the bathroom) needs a serious updating. And there was no safety deposit box. Or there actually was one but it had no lock on it.
Location, very close to Station
Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms
Good facilities, practical location (metro, business area) and efficient hotel staff
You should use the stairs for until second floor , then you walk across the corridor (long) to find the lifts.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, although my Spanish skills are poor. Location of hotel near centre of Madrid and access to public transportation.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Metro and bus terminal right out your door. The room was big, comfortable and clean. Garage parking was available I didn't mind a 30 minute commute to Plaza Sol but others might.
Everything was excellent!
The room was pretty large and well furnished Maybe the fact that 2-3 waitresses , involved in the breakfast service , were not particularely motivated ( no smile ,...)
the central location
Location is excellent. The underground railway is right infront of the hotel. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. I lost my passport in Madrid and they were very kind to help me about that.
Stayed during a weekend and I had an very pleasant suit for a an affordable price. The beds and linen are fantastic, and the living room comfortable with sofa and chairs. Nice and big bathroom. Speedy internet and a fantastic view from the panorama windows. Don´t have room service. No direct entrance with car. Have to walk 200 meters.
Location: Near the airport (hotel provides free airport transfer and it takes around 15 min on a weekend's night), shopping mall at a 7 mins walk, quiet zone. Rooms: Confortable, clean and functional. Hotel: Free wireless in the rooms, free internet access zone (for those that do not carry any device), a wiizone if you want to chill out playing some console games, reasonable breakfast. The free transfer back to the airport was overbooked.
Great hotel, but far from everything, in a middle of a industrial/commercial area. If you arrive late, it's difficult to find some food to grab.
The location to the airport. Not easy to get to public transportation from hotel to downtown area.
Only stayed here for a night in between flights and it offered everything we needed. Loved the free shuttle to and from airport. This saved us a lot of money not having to buy a taxi. Also, the room was a lot larger than expected and very clean and modern. It's not really close to anything other than the airport though, so don't book here if you're looking for a good vacation spot.
Close to airport with free shuttle
Very moderm, clean and efficiant. Great staff, simple comfortable design. Close to a large shopping centre with food and supermarket facilities and a great airport shuttle service. Amazing showers. Nothing to complain about at all.
For a 1 day layover in Madrid, best of 5 hotels, many similar that I have experienced. Will book here again. Great internet.
Appealing Building, modern, internet free available, computers available. Slow checkin at late evening, Breakfast little bit disappointing, scrambled eggs 2 mornings cold, cold draught trough breakfastroom. Asking for the way to Centre Madrid, received poor and incomplete information resulting in unnessecary waste of time to get to the centre. No Madrid Maps
The reception staff was resolutive but I think they were a little bit short of time to manage.
very clean and smart hotel the food in the dinner restaurant, was served steak and potatoes, overcooked and no vegetables or salad
It was clean, calm ,and the facilities very correct. The transport to the aereoport very good idea. The restaurant
Nice modern hotel, well fitted out. It was very hard to get a taxi to take us to the hotel late at night as it wasn't a long enough fare for them. 2 taxis refused to take us.
Cleanliness of the room and bathroom, and quality of the rich breakfast Tiny dimensions of the room with double bed not exceeding 1.3 m in width
The Restaurant The Mini Bar to be replenished every day
I am satisfied with the Hotel. The location is in the centre, free Wi-Fi (I even have it in my room as well not only in public places), friendly staff, good breakfast.
Clean and comfortable hotel, bathrooms have some unique designs which make your stay that bit more interesting. Good loaction for staying in the city.
the excellent location of the hotel in center of city! good breakfast until 11 a.m. unfortunately we didn't sleep 2 nights, very noisy outside until 6 a.m. on thursday! poor isolation of windows and walls, so we could hear when neighbours used toilet and spoke. quite little room for 2 persons and room doesn't correspond with those pictures, that are shown in internet!!! very old-fashioned and has specific smell.
Great Location! Second time in this hotel and I wouldn't try staying anywhere else.
Location was excellent The breakfst was quite expensive for what was offered
The staff could not have been more helpful. One of my credit cards was stolen and they really did everything they could to assist. The room was small, even for central Madrid. The cost of the room was high for its size, but it would be unfair to single this hotel out. Comparable hotels at this location are all the same.
delightful art, furnishings and decoration; storage of luggage on final afternoon; jacussi advertised but not yet available; small room
Comfort, central position, friendly staff Extremely noisy, especially at night. Very poor sound proofing - we could hear the man next door snoring!
Well I like the breakfast buffet that's all. This wrongly starred hotel do not offer airconditioning in their rooms ,do you believe that. If you are asthmatic do not stay here, super dusty rooms, damp bathrooms ,no airconditioning means no air filtration This hotel is 2 not a 4 star hotel , when you see the name you think well Petit is a nice name but when you arrive at the hotel you realize that everything is really petit indeed from the tiny reception ,to the tiny elevators, tiny restaurant, tiny room.
The hotel is situated in central Madrid on a surprisingly quiet street corner. Both the room and its bathroom were spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped. Staff was polite and helpful, their english skills varied. We asked for a street side room for light on an upper floor for quiet and we got one but we had to take two lifts and walk a long lonely corridor between them. A bit creepy late at night!
the friendly doormen It was great!
Location is great, right in the middle of town, restraunts, bars tapas and shopping.my room was big although I took a superior room. There are no views from any room windows. I took the advice of other reviews and asked for a room away from corridor to be quiet Bad inroom breakfast. Also the morning buffet breakfast is not very exciting and too expensive
the decoration and attention to detail amazed us, stunning!!. beautiful hotel. staff very friendly and efficient. location superb, literally round the corner from neptune fountain, prado museum and thyssen museum. cocktail bar sooooo cool. restaurant mediteranean asian fusion not too expensive. and you might catch a glimpse of tom cruise as the church of scientology is across the road.
Excellent location, everything worthwhile seeing within walking distance
very good location but the rooms are too small. The breakfast was excellent.
The closeness to the centre The bar of the hotel was too small and uncomfortable
very comfortabe, interior design was great..
The atmosphere is wonderful. The rooms are very nice and the employees are very helpful. Really enjoyed staying here.
the staff were very helpful, room was clean
THe location was great, the room was very comfortable with a large bed. It was noisy becasue it was on the street and the walls are thin. Also think the staff could be knowledgeable about the area, especially place to eat.
We stayed at the hotel 4 days and what we liked most was it centric location, within walking distance to everything in old Madrid, and close to bus an metro stops. Plaza San Martin is at the very heart of the city and very close (5 minutes walking) to such city highlights as Plaza mayor, La Opera, Palacio Real, Gran Via, etc. Corte Ingles (the department store) is just around the corner, and also there is parking available (although pricey, $28 euros per 24 hours) just outside the hotel (parking belongs to Corte Ingles). If you have a car, do not park on the city streets as they are "residents only" parking. Breakfast is not included, and if you chose to eat at the hotel, it is pricey. Just walk to any of the coffee shops close to the hotel and have a good continental breakfast at very low price (2-5 euros).
Their elevator is so unique! Very clean, amazing location for the money. Staff was really nice and helpful
I like its location ,near to metro stations (Callao and Sol) and well deserved . Also, breakfast buffet tasteful and good service . The room was confortable and space of its bathroom nicely shaped . This hotel is quite silence . Staff working at the Front Desk (ridiculous space !) lack of professional skills. Indeed , a no smart people . Also, at the first day of my stay (6 nights) , and in spite of my previous on line booking, they gve me a room without windows in the 1st floor .Smaller and noisy which standart can be compared with a one star in Eurpean hotel.
5 minute walk to Puerto Del Sol (Kilometer 0) and Plaza Mayor in Madrid. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful. A little tough to get to if you are driving your own car. As is often the case in Madrid, it is off a side, side, side street so more conducive to walking than driving in an out. Would have preferred a second bed in the room vs. a rollaway for our adult son, although it worked out okay.
Staff was very helpful (and most spoke english), quick response to requests (towels, room service), very good location near Callao metro stop Bathroom was cramped, you could smell cigarette smoke when running the ac
The central location of the hotel near Pl.Mayor, Puerta del Sol
Well-located hotel. We had a top floor room that had a balcony that overlooke a monestery with its beautiful ancient tile roofs. No place to set up one, much less two, suitcases.
Breakfast too expensive
The location is superb! In the city centre, next to the shopping streets, the city discos and with a choice of 3 metro stations. Good value for money too! The breakfast room on the 6th floor has one of the best views of the city. Our room saw the inner court since we had to chose between a double bed or a nice view....but that was ok actually, quiet and neat. The one and only elevator is sometimes too slow but the hotel is a restaured old building with a long history. Absolutely worth the experience!
Location and access to points of interest.
The location was perfect, the Jr. Suite offered plenty of room, the balcony was quite nice. The majority of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. 1 room the A/C and the hair dryer weren't working properly and that was never resolved. The parking was very expensive. Need to vacuum under the beds.
Beautiful hotel, facing nice old square. Check-in took 30 sec. Comfortable and charming: old-fashioned elevator, bell epoque decor... Bathroom big, new and clean. my room on second floor had a vague smoking smell, I had to open a window while out for a dinner
It was close to the Tube station and on a well connecting main road. The room was very clean and the range of toiletries very impressive. no free wifi and it was expensive for 24 hours
Location, across from subway station. Only one stop from Chamartin train station. A supermarket is very close to it. Liked the fast food restaurants on the subway station, very convenient for a quick breakfast or dinner.
Location Room standard was not on par with price
near metro and also renfe station, clean and comfortable no free wifi
convenience to metro system quiet clean rooms great staff nothing
The jacuzzi was nice. There were a lot of products in the bathroom. The receptionists were talking and kept us waiting. They didn't understand English very well. I asked to repair the shower twice which they didn't. The taxi driver was waiting for 10 minutes before the receptionist told us that he was there.
The view from my room, and the room service. The minibar wasn't filled up totally some times basically on first days...
Convenience for business meetings
quality of hotel no tea / coffee making facilities in room
A decent hotel which you not write home about. Very small rooms. Low value for money
hotel statt , facilities , cleqnliness of hotel and room , situation of hotel hard of Madrid
loction executive lounge marginal, no wine available
Location is perfect. Wi Fi it far too expensive. View.
The location of the hotel was perfect and so was the parking service which is so difficult to find in hotels nearby. The room was really good, really confortable and clean. The staff were very helpful. The beds were too small for a hotel like this and I don't understand how possible it is to have staff in the reception who speak english so so bad!!
Only the pool is the only big pool in Gran via sed the is open till 9 pm when summer time in Madrid is light till 11 pm First when I arrive after long fly from New York the told me the room no ready I bin waiting from 9 am till 2:30 pm service sooo slow line for the front desk is over size waiting and the worst the don't speak English well , when I get the room finely it was look sooo different from the pic and so small that I was can move there I sleep I wake up and I cancel all my rest of the stay in this hotel and I go to other hotel horrible experience never recomed this hotel
swimming pool room walls where damaged: visible has had a water leakage on the roof, poor facilities, small room, not enough water pressure in the shower.
Location, helpfulness from staff, roof pool, fantastic room - two showers!! and great view also
The hotel's location is a huge asset. It's central location enhances access to the various interests in the city. Room was slightly smaller than expected - but acceptable nontheless.
Location - excellent size room - TV channels poor - I do not watch TV but others may and would find it dissapointing
The roof pool and the central location of the hotel
location quality dropped a bit compared with my visit 5 year ago
-The location was great -Staff was very helpful -The pool and roof deck were amazing -Hotel was very clean -The wifi was slow and it had a two device limit -The room was somewhat small
Very good hotel, the silence in the rooms is great, the overall is impecable. Close to taxi and subway They didn't have VoD and iptv at the room, tv was bad
All was excellent! All was pleasant!
Mini Bar and Free Wi-Fi expensive breakfast
To be able to relax in the spa overlooking madrid. Seals in the bathroom, water leaked from the shower into the toilet/bathroom. Hotel overall was great.
I liked everything about the hotel, elegant, clean, luxurious, great service, overall a great hotel.
Basically everything. I travel a lot in my job and I believe this was my best hotel stay ever comparing price performance. I was really amazed by the standard, service and building design. Food and beverages too expensive, should be maybe 30% less.
Design Internet free will be better
Country, Hotel and staff were exceedingly outstanding. Home away from home with excellent and Professionally tranined good and emotive people. Caring staff. More than value for money.
ehi guys...this is really a luxury hotel. Everything is stylish...and don't miss dinner and breakfast at 30th floor!!!!! Quality of food is great!!! Maybe a little bit expensive...but...it is a five star...!!!
Excellent location. Clean, new.
Very nice comfortable hotel, close to the airport and not so far from town. I would definitely recommend it.
Close to everywhere and clean room Nothing to dislike
Room size, good A/C, and location The shower doesn't have lights, very slippy, and water gets out of the tub when showering.
Service, location and view were great. Rooms clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance to metro. Rates were very good as well.
Good location. Comfortable, ckean room. Good size
Great location, close to anything and anywhere you want to be in Madrid. The room was too small.
Hotel was very nice, modern and rooms spacious and stylish The staff are abismal. Receptionists act as if you are annoying them, restaurant staff are rude and do not ever smile, the only nice ones are the cleaning ladies. This doesnt normally bother me so much but they were just so depressingly unpleasant it did affect my stay without a doubt. They should sack the lot of them and start again with the amount of people who need a job in Spain at the moment!
breackfast 19 euros very expensive bar excellent
Superb rooms, and perfect location! I found some of the staff members at the reception desk a bit intimidating.
Nice room isolation
Pleasant and friendly staff
New and clean.
Excellent staff, super clean room, amazing shower, I was completely satisfied. Didn't stay long enough to try the restaurant but it looked good ;)
Perfect coffe in the bar, good staff, quite modern, good location and amaizing terrace Quite small and poor room
The hotel is centrally located and very clean
Free Laptop in Room . Excellent idea. Good Breakfast. Bar. TV Channels choice poor - No English. Pay TV movies totally inadequate.
Great set up for the family room.
the location is good, Brekfast was very poor all food looked old and not fresh. The Hotel inside is very dark.
I thought the hotel was very modern! No
no porter in the hotel.
The bed has this sexy blue glow coming from underneath it. Loved the ambience with the lighting. Definitely a good place for single solo traveler. . I'd stay again. Bed was kind of hard but not unbearable. Room was kind of small but fine for one or two people
A good modern hotel in an established skin. Very close to Madrid's best shopping district and museums. I particularly like the fact that the hotel didn't charge for extras that others often do - like internet access etc. Being really picky - the lifts were painfully slow - but this shouldn't put anyone off.
Location and service and great mini bar and wifi. Nothing. Very superlative.
The quality of the hotel was very good, location was good but expensive area. There was no bar/coffee bar at the weekend. The room toilet had a clear glass wall and door which was an experience particularly when travelling with children.
The staff was excellent The hotel it self was kind of run down and although it was not dirty, because it was so run down the halls looked like they were dirty.
it was in a great location! the bathrooms in the suites.... my friend and i were sharing rooms and the bathrooms are like a glass box so you see everything! weird!
I was very unimpressed with the service and the cleaness of the hotel.
Design and comfortabilty of the rooms and the place in general We asked for some ice cubes and, yes they gave us, but into a plastic bag, I guess they should be prepared for such eventualities and place ice cubes into a bowl
Stayed here July, 14, 09. Great hotel, excellent buffet breakfast. Very high tech brand new hotel. Some reviews I'd read said it was "cold feeling" and noisy. I found neither to be the case. Slot of glass & chrome can seem a bit cold to some people but I enjoyed the modern design. It is obvious they spend a huge amount on the interior design. I really liked the hard wood floors in the room. A very clean feeling as compared to hotel carpet. The room was absolutely spotlessly clean. With all the glass the maids must have to work very hard to get it all spotless & streakless. The desk staff were very pleasant and helpful planning our short td in Madrid. Only complaint is the "free airport shuttle" only runs 7 to 11 am and 7 to 11 p The "free airport shuttle" only runs 7 - 11 am and 7-11 pm. That's not how the free shuttle is advertsed. We had to take a taxi upon arrival at 4:30 pm for acost of 27 Euros. But did get the free shuttle back to the airport the next day as it was within their time slot. You need to sing up for the shuttle ahead of time to make sure you get on it. About a 20 minute trip to the airport so if you are running tight and miss the shuttle itaynot be back for some time. Took several taxis to the hotel all had trouble finding it as it is off the beaten path . Had to use our cell phone to call the hotel so they could direct the drivers. Be sure to take their business card so you can give to the driver & call if necessary. But it is worth it
closeness to airport, price and comfort of beds ...modern amenities airport shuttle took one hour to come to get me and only after I called to get it to come to Terminal 1 -- shuttle bus not available until 7am in morning which was not suitable as I needed transport at 6am -- shared taxi with other guest which worked out well. Dining in-room astronomical and diningroom had poor selection and expensive prices. I arrived late and had few choices.
Spacious bright modern rooms that were very comfortable The transfers are not 24 hours as they claim, and the location is only suitable for business travellers or those that don't mind being out of town
Nice hotel. Good location. Nearby airport and some nice bars for a late tapas. Girl at the front desk not realy friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean and realy comfi.
Room style Too cold temp. in the breakfast area and too hot in the rooms
facilities are good shutall bus has limited time
The staff was really nice and helpful. The free shuttle to the Madrid International Airport is a bonus. This is not a negative comment. Travelers just have to be aware that the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and that there seems to be a very few restaurants around. There is a chinese restaurant just around the corner but I chose to eat at the hotel restaurant on the terrace. Service and food were really nice (Spanish menu). Did not have a chance to try the buffet breakfast (but it looked nice) as I needed to go to the airport early. I would have liked to just have a cup of coffee before the shuttle arrived but was told I could not... needed to eat for that... Maybe the restaurant management could consider selling just coffee at the counter to clients who are not interested/or choose not to eat a big breakfast in the morning.
The hotel restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly even though not very helpful as expected The bed has four wheels which may slide while sleeping on it.
Near to subway and airport They say it has a free shuttle to airport but it's not marked that it is only available certain fix hours. We had to take a taxi
