9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, beautiful, spacious Lovely people
Cons: Limited natural environment (1 small beach) The cost of drinks!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent but more variety needed for the kids. The scuba diving and staff was excellent. The snorkelling and other activities were also great. Location was amazing!!
Cons: We stayed in the beach house and the communication between the villa and main resort could have been better. Our phone was not working most of the time so it was difficult to make contact with the hotel to get a boat across to the main resort. The problems were not resolved very quickly. Breakfast served at the villa was amazing but not on time, especially on our last morning when we had to checkout by 9am.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing swimming from beach. Best boutique dresses!
Cons: Sand fleas. Over priced food.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place certainly lives up to it's name - a little slice of paradise. Come for the relaxation, stay for the amazing food! The staff are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. The views are beautiful and if you enjoy snorkelling you'll love the coral right off the resort, as well as the day trips offered.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
7.9 Good
Pros: Food is good here. Well presented and with variety of choices. Hotel territory is well kept. Snorkeling right off the beach is quite good. Rooms are quite small but comfy. Mango trees and hike over the island.
Cons: Hustle and bustle feel of the hotel. It's VERY busy, even if staying in the Adult only area, using the hotel facilities and activities will remind you of how busy the hotel is. If you stay for just 2-3 nights, be prepared not to be able to book most of the worthy activities (like fishing and manta ray swimming), as they book out a few days in advance. Hotel should really consider contacting the guests prior to arrival with the scheduled activities list to give the opportunity to book something guests might enjoy, instead of leaving you without this option. Alternatively, organize more trips as there's definitely demand. Again, due to the busy nature of resort, staff can't be attentive, we were forgotten to be picked up from another island after the Picnic activity, and had to call the hotel from there (thank god the phone had signal) to remind about us.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was exceptional The outdoor garden shower was a real treat The staff were super friendly and very helpful .
Cons: A small pool for the little kids would be great . As the family pool is deep .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Next level dining and food experiences. Friendly efficient staff. Nothing was an issue. Perfect place.
Cons: Nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Woooow!!! Super beautiful and chic boutique hotel!! Even when we had 1,5 days of rain the experience was amazing, lovely reception, great staff (Bula Posh!), cool bars, cool pools everywhere, special area only for adults, nice rooms, GORGEOUS SHOWER (I think I have never paid attention to one but this one blown my mind - open air surrounded by stones and plants). Plenty of activities to do, loved to swim with the Manta rays, don't miss it even if there is heavy rain, totally worthy. Great view, great staff!! Good food.. Everything was amazing! Thanks for the warm welcome to the room for our honeymoon.
Cons: We received the charge of the meal plan by surprise in our credit card. Good to announce it in big letters in the description of the hotel during the booking. Luckily food was great and totally worthy but good to notify in advance. Quite some funny friends inside of the room (little lizards). We were very surprised but on our last day, we had to ask several times to the personnel during breakfast and lunch for syrup, food, dessert, etc. Consider the 3 hours by boat to get there, be prepared for that.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely and super friendly staff. Clean room and environment. Delicious food I love everything there❤️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it here, the coral reef is absolutely amazing, one of the best in Fiji. The work the island is doing around studying the manta-rays is incredible and they run a great presentation on them every day. Nice beds and good food too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my time here - the staff was wonderful, the room was basic but all that I needed (I stayed in one of the beachfront bures), and the dive shop and staff were excellent.
Cons: My only complaint is about the lack of vegetarian/vegan options. After nothing but rice & veggies or pasta & veggies for a few days, I really needed some sort of protein. They do have eggs at breakfast, and they accommodated my requests for hardboiled eggs at lunch/dinner when I asked, but the "go-to" vegetarian option for lunch/dinner meals were either salads or rice & cooked veggies. Considering the expense of the required resort fee (that covers all meals), I was expecting to have more options available to me, especially on the buffet nights when all I could eat were the side dishes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff very friendly. 3 beaches all unique. Amazing snorkelling
Cons: A meal package without lunch would have been good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: nice location, great snorkeling. nice staff and views from property.
Cons: We reserved a bungalow beachfront, which is larger, slightly better views and has a few more ammenities (bathroom with a door) than a sea view bure. we were given a sea view bure with a double bed, smaller and not what we had booked. When I inquired we were told it was same price and we were fine. It was only one night, so we didnt want to make a fuss. But it was extremely disappointing to find out our friends, traveling with us were able to negotiate into a beachfront bure (actually the one shown in our booking confirmation photo). The staff was friendly but also didnt seem interested in our issue. we had just come from sister property Barefoot Kuata which was a much different experience in that way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and gave you a welcome and farewell song. The accommodation was right on the beach and it was a quick walk between three different beaches so you could always find an empty beach or get out of the wind. The snorkelling was incredible. We went with a friend who had snorkelled a lot and she said it was one of the best places she’d ever been. The manta rays didn’t turn up whilst we were there unfortunately but that just means we have to go back. We went to a really interesting talk from a marine biologist on the island though so we learnt a lot about them. The activities changed daily and meant there was always something new to do. I wish we’d booked for longer as we only stayed two nights.
Cons: The showers either were very hot or chilly but it wasn’t too bad having a cooling shower in the heat.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Glorious slice of tropical paradise. Dive center onsite.
Cons: Mandatory resort fee makes price of booking effectively double, which was not very clear at the time of booking using booking.com.
Barefoot Kuata Island Resort - Kuata Island - Building

9.0 Excellent (253 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Barefoot Kuata Island Resort in Kuata Island, you'll be within the region of Naukacuvu Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a water dispenser.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent, especially the fish meals. Absolutely loved the diving accessibility
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Barefoot Kuata is set in one of the most stunning locations I have ever been. The surrounding islands and beaches are beautiful. The staff (Sammy and his team) were extremely friendly and helpful. Kuata is the perfect first stop for your Fijian island journey. Five stars ⭐️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff. Had great time on the island. The food was amazing too.
7.9 Good
Pros: The Staff was really really nice and the view was beautiful! We went on a snorkeling tour were we saw reef sharks, an awesome experience !! The staff made baskets out of palm leaf and gifted it to the guests, which was really nice is really unique ! All in all I’d definitely recommend this place, because maybe it’s not that luxerious, but its a really warm heartedly and nice place!
Cons: The dorms should get renovated as they are really noisy! In the Night it gets really dark all around the resort because the lightening is really bad! The food wasnt that good as well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is cheap for late checkout in a dorm(40 fidjis dollars)
Cons: Checkout 9am
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Barefoot Kuata was a great experience. the staff were lovely and friendly, the place was beautiful and food was great. Our bure was comfortable with amazing views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, what a brilliant location with fantastic staff. My experience here was unforgettable for all the right reasons.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning place and stunning people :) We felt at home straight ahead! Lovely grounds, great snorkelling, fantastic vibe, and super friendly staff - a true Fijian experience. The moment we left, we started thinking of coming back.
Cons: I sadly don't appreciate it being obligatory to buy full board, as I usually do not take advantage of it as I hardy eat 3 meals a day at a set time, which is kind of forced upon there. Food was OK, but not outstanding, and I would be more happy to simply choose food a la carte, even if the choices would have to be limited.
Octopus Resort - Waya Island - Building

8.9 Excellent (243 reviews)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is nothing short of incredible!!!!!!
Cons: Abolutely nothing!!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice beachfront location and pool. Friendly helpful staff. Food was particularly good.
Cons: Beach wasn't very good for swimming due to rocks and waves. Reef was disappointing, in very poor condition, apparently due to damage by cyclone. Price was high for the standard of accommodation we had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family friendly location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, great staff, super comfortable beds, great activities - thank you Moses for taking us on an epic hike! Definitely paradise.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very nice, especially the guys at the dive shop, they do care guests safety and always keeping an eye on the swimmers. The carols close to the shore are beautiful, perfect place for snorkel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were absolutely incredible! It is by far the best resort I've ever stayed in. Planning to come back next year! Only change would be to stay longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing! I’m in love with this resort
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is quiet and beautiful! There are lots of options for activities or you can just do you own thing. The food was delicious ☺️
Cons: They were hard to get in contact with prior to arrival but once there all the staff were lovely and always willing to help
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, stunning location, great facilities (snorkelling, kayaking, dive shop), delicious food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A piece of paradise! This resort has everything you need for a total disconnection. Beautiful water, the staff is very friendly, the pool is great and it has plenty of chairs and lounge areas so you don't have to fight for a spot. The bed and room were nice and comfortable and the shared bathroom has plenty of space. Breakfast and dinner options were great! And I loved that they had soy milk and gluten-free options available.
Cons: Not all the activities advertised on the daily calendar happened, probably due to a lack of guests. The meal plan should include an appetizer or a dessert, as it feels overpriced for just a main at lunchtime.
Mantaray Island Resort - Nanuya Balavu Island - Building

Overview Reviews
Located in Nanuya Balavu Island, Mantaray Island Resort is by the ocean, minutes from Manta Ray Beach, and close to Sunrise Beach. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic on every level. The food was unbelievably good and the range of activities was amazing. A life changing experience. Stunning location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food
Cons: Checkout 9am
7.5 Good
Pros: Mantaray was a great location with mostly lovely people, but one of the staff members (male) was drunk and rude to a couple we were with. For what you pay, I found this disgraceful. The cabanas and dorms were lovely and very comfortable and they run a great dive shop!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, just need more kids options.
Cons: Diving rates are a little misleading. Should not have a 5 dive package. No one goes out on the boat on the 3rd day and does one dive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff went above and beyond in all cases. Good snorkeling. Nice spa!
Cons: Meal service sometimes slow. Loving furniture and hammocks uncomfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it was NOT a super luxurious, high-end resort. I don't like those places--they feel cold, generic, overly manicured and impersonal. Mantaray Island resort was more relaxed and informal, family-friendly and fun. And because it's so relaxed, we easily ended up making friends with another couple we met on the island. The best part was the awesome staff, especially in the restaurant. Everyone there is warm and welcoming. They make an effort to learn your name, and we learn theirs, and soon we feel like friends. We especially loved the night they sang and showed us some dancing. The food was always tasty, presented to look beautiful, and there was plenty to eat. The location was lovely, with good snorkeling right at the beach (we saw reef sharks, a very large eel, and so many different kinds of fish--unfortunately never did find the octopus though!). Snorkeling with manta rays was a new experience for us and truly thrilling. We booked kind of late and got the only room still available, a very small "jungle" room. It really was small--no room to even leave the suitcases out and open. But it was okay, because honestly, we didn't spend much time in the room unless we were sleeping. If I had planned it earlier, I would have preferred an ocean-facing room and preferably one with its own bathroom. Still, I will say that the shared bathroom and showers were kept very clean. I felt the price was fair and the resort offered good value for the money. I saw in some reviews people complained about having to pay for some add-ons (drinks, snorkeling or scuba trips with the boat, etc.) but we felt those prices were reasonable as well.
Cons: I found the information about how to get there (via ferry) a bit confusing, though I did figure it out in the end. I think the info on the website could be highlighted in a way to make it clearer. At first I thought there were multiple ways to get there and/or multiple ferries. It would be great to say right up at the top that there is only one ferry per day each way and that is essentially the only option for transportation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to stay on your awesome Fiji adventure. The food was great, lots of vegetarian options, breakfast was delicious. The staff are very welcoming, the vibes are great lots of things to do if wanting to do some day trips, or just relax on the beach. Very happy with my stay
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the reef bure and waking up being greated with the sound of waves was just wonderful. We loved the outdoor bathroom. The staff were really chearful and welcoming, and the surroundings are just wonderful. Snorkelling at your doorstep and the chance of swimming with mantas are a definite plus.
Cons: You have to pay for most extra activities and the meal package is mandatory (which ends up being OK since it's isolated)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the activities- particularly the Manta Ray snorkel and dive shop.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location and the local people where perfect. Very friendly and helpful.
Cons: This was the only resort which charged an extra fee on stuff like; WiFi and snorkel gear. We where lucky to see the manta’s though, with a cost of 65fiji dollar a person and a ridiculous amount of other people in the water (70?). The toilets weren’t flushable (hole in the ground) and the food taste in first was good/oké, though been suffering from stomach pains for 4 days and the toilet has been my best friend.

Pros: Great local breakfast
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. An experience of Fijian village life ad the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We didn’t want to leave
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing, Kava ceremony all nights for free, free snorkelling, the village and school tour is amazing!!! Nice rooms and lovely ambience . The food is really good!!!
Cons: Is not the best spot of yasawa islands , but it is really worth it!!!
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly and very welcoming
Cons: The position of the resort - in the afternoon it wasn't possible to sunbathe after 3.30. They didn't have electricity from 2pm until 6pm. WIFI not available, but it's not a must.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so wonderful they really make you feel like family from the start. The meal Times were right on time, and very delicious. The communication was great. I would definitely return here.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Truly unique experience staying on lodge run by large Fijian family! We were there for Fiji Day which was very exciting. Didn’t quite get vegan diet right first time but very accommodating and made me special meals on request. Stunning location.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff is amazing ! They consider you as a member of their family. They call you by your name, sing for you, and shared with you their traditions such as kava ceremony. Diving with sharks is a wonderful experience. Food is good and home made. Awesome experience for few days. If you want to discover Fiji culture, I highly recommend it!
Cons: They took us for a picnic in an unpleasant beach with lots of rubbish and we had to stay all the day there... We met dozen of cockroaches at our balcony in the evening. The Fuji time is quite confusing: sometimes lunch time is 30 minutes earlier, sometimes later. No flexibility for the meals time (breakfast from 7 am to 8 pm only and dinner from 7 to 8 pm). Finally I would recommend to stay just few days (2 to 3 nights max) but not too long as there are not many things to do.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The ladies and young Male staff within the resort were absolutely lovely. The food is good. The snorkeling was great
Cons: The toilet absolutely reeked of stale urine the whole time we were there. We ended up leaving the island early due to the state of our bathroom and the fact that they got the puppies drunk on beer at night and found it funny. Their boat practice was unsafe and the older male staff rude regarding my size and patronizing towards females.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Could not have asked for a better stay at Naqalia Lodge. The staff are incredibly friendly and truly welcomed us in to the family. The paid activities are all very reasonably priced and the free snorkelling trips take you to some good reefs. The accommodation is basic but comfortable. We slept very well, maybe because of the cava. Vinaka vakalevu
