Location and it had kitchen
NoGood location close to ok'd town the the train
Hotel was clean and staff was nice. Free breakfast in the morning is nothing elaborate, but definitely does the job and gets your day off to a good start.
Showerheads in bathrooms are forever not high enough. Although I will keep coming back here, that issue needs to be corrected. Found myself kneeling to wash my head, and I'm NOT tall!Great hotel if you're on a budget for one or two nights. Free movie rentals. DVD player in room. Close to Sea World and Old Town restaurants and shops.

The young Hispanic gentleman who finally came to fix the TV and f r I'd he was incredibly nice and polite. He was actually the highlight of our visit at this motel.
The small fridge door was broken, there was encrusted do urine on a part of the carpet, stained carpet, TV wasn't working properly, most of the staff was rude and we're not heloful. I felt as if my requests to fix the TV and fridge were putting them out. I was told "There's nothing I can do about it now. No one help. You should have called sooner. You'll just have to wait." So I waited and finally had to remind them, yet again, that these items needed to be fixed. The (head maid?) was rude and SCOLDED ME for asking the other maids to come back to clean because I was in the shower. She had me walk around to the other side of the motel to drop off my dirty linen because I "threw off the maids schedule for being late." Everything was run down and nothing worked properly. I am beyond disappointed. :(
customer service was great, great experience
No coffee in room, need more towels in room

Wood floors, comfy bed, good location, good shower, excellent WiFi (very important these days), good TV, very helpful staff.
Too much air freshener/odor cover up.
Check in was quick. The room was nice.
The airport is right across the road and you are at the end of a runway. The planes landing are right overhead. BUT you get used to that very quickly and it did not keep me up. At about 2 am a crack/meth head and is girlfriend are outside yelling at the top of their lungs BECAUSE HE CAN”T FIND HIS SMOKES !!!!! This went on for about 30 to 45 mins. Then later some drunks came back to their rooms. The desk person should have called the cops on the crack/meth heads and got them the heck out of there.

Very sketchy hotel - many unwholesome characters hanging out on the balconies, on the sidewalks, and even digging through the garbage bin. Dim lighting in hallways, many places to be found alone on the stairs, elevator, etc. I would not take kids here. I would not take myself here again. I'd go find a Motel 6 that had been remodeled, and did not have weird hairs everywhere, minimal cleaning, and a odd-smelling fridge. Exited this old motel as quickly as possible.

Location was good. Staff was kind and helpful.
Shower drain clogged. There was not any free breakfast like Kayak said there would be, really bummed about that. Pretty spendy for quality and bathrooms could have been cleaner.
Location & price. Free Wi-FI was faster than more expensive hotels
Tiny room & extremely basic. Not enough parking.

Location was great with lots of eating options near by and only a few minutes from sea world and not too far away from shopping centers and sea port village. Not too pricey.
The place was kind of run down and it was obvious that the staff did not like their job, definitely not the friendliest and definitely didn't bend their back to accommodate people.
not much rooms were small restrictive for smokers
no pool no amenities beside room and tiny coffee/breakfast area in am cramped parking would not stay there in any future trips

Comfortable bed, clean room
Extremely hard to find. Very rude staff, stripper club across the street
Cheap and reasonably well-located
Check-in line was horribly long - I had to wait for 1 hour and 15 minutes at midnight on Friday/Saturday to get checked in.

The location was great just down the street from gaslamp for a great price
The beds were not very comfortable
I liked the fact that it was located in downtown San Diego. it is close to a must try hodad's if you're not from around. Also it's close to the Gaslamp. So mainly location is what i liked.
I didn't like that there were a lot of homeless roaming around. I got lucky with parking but it is very limited. You could also hear footsteps from above. It is located in a busy street so sometimes you can hear cars go by.

Location near ocean and multiple shops/restaurants within walking distance Heated outdoor pool
Continental breakfast was limited (coffee, juice, pastries) as expected, BUT I would have liked liquid coffee creamer instead of powdered creamer.
It is a small hotel in a quiet area of a nice beach town, very short walk to one of the easiest beach accesses, and a beautiful view of the beach from the top of the cliff as well. It is also a short walk to numerous eateries and shops and the main street of Pacific Beach. We stayed in a queen deluxe room that has been partially renovated. It was very spacious, with high ceilings and pleasant decor. It was maintained adequately though showing signs of age and effects of the moist ocean environment. Very nice TV in beautiful piece of furniture that also has 3 large drawers for clothes, etc. Though not a complete breakfast, an assortment of high quality pastries was offered each a.m. along with several juices and teas; hot coffee was available throughout the day. The staff was wonderful - always cheerful, helpful and kept the grounds spotless throughout the day. Having covered parking was a plus as was the pool. When my aging mother injured her leg on our last day at the beach and could no longer walk upstairs, they found us a room on the lower level and helped us change rooms at 10 p.m. - we really appreciated their attentiveness to our needs. One building has front patios with round tables and chairs - nice feature if you are in that building, and pleasant to look at even if you're in the other building. It's just a pleasant, relaxing place to stay while enjoying the beach and surrounding San Diego area.
The rooms are a little quirky - no shower door or curtain and the 1/2 glass partition doesn't really contain the water so the bathroom floor gets wet. (Not a problem in the renovated rooms). The only outlet for the coffeepot puts it on a shelf above your head rather than on the counter - dangerous & inconvenient. One of our 2 rooms did not have a microwave, the other had a door missing off the lower storage cupboard. You have to ask for everything ... towels, washcloths, bath mats, coffee for the coffeemaker, etc. They are quick to provide what you need, but it can be a long walk to the office if you forget something or don't realize it's not there.

The entire hotel was very dirty and grimy. There was 2 overdose's on the same night, did get any sleep due to the noise (police and fire), the bed was hard and the bed sheets did not feel clean. We checked out the next morning. Never going back.
