Reviews about Lalati Resort & Spa
“The location is stunning and totally remote, on an fully green island with no streets, only a couple of villages of the native people there. So access is only by boat, though there are some hikes through the green "jungle" to waterfalls etc. which you can do with guides. Activities are mainly world-class diving (including shark), snorkeling and kajaking - directly in front of your porch are already wonderful corals and fish grounds, and all around the coast and reef. Remoteness means also no TV, sparse WIFI at the reception, some radio - but the friendliness of the native people who work at the resort fully outweighs all remoteness and being away from our regular hectic life. The cook and servant team was so wonderful, menus very tasty and all - everything very delicious; we wanted to take the cook with us. Also bar, drinks and entertainment very nice, events organized throughout the week. All the local employees get together to sing you a warm welcome! As well as a farewell! And you are greeted with flower and a coconut drink.”
“Great location, Beqa is a divers paradise. Lalati resort offers the perfect vacation. The Villas are comfortable and the staff are great! You would always get a heartfelt BULA with a genuine smile. Everyone would go out of their way to make you feel special. The Dive Masters Oskar and Bill are great. We had fantastic dives with them and always felt very well looked after. The food was good.”
“While Lalati is a little tired in places (and more so than you see if the online pictures), it really is a slice of heaven. If you are looking for 5 star luxury you’ll need to look elsewhere but if you are looking for a place to unwind and relax with the option to be more active if your choose then then this is the place for you. The resort was quiet when we were there (2 other couples). The staff are friendly and the location cannot be beaten. Snorkelling out the front is good and you can easily kayak a short distance to take in another reef. Paid snorkelling charters are also available. The room was comfortable and you shouldn’t be put off by the eco toilet. The small air con does struggle to keep the room cool at times and our ceiling fan did not work but the cooler evenings were just beautiful. Some villas are quite a walk from the main area but ours was ideally positioned (WFV2). Take your own snacks and a bottle of gin (with tonic) or a few bottles of wine to enjoy on your balcony in the afternoon/evenings. I wouldn’t suggest you waste your time in the day spa. Its OVERPRICED and the staff (while lovely) are not trained. The food was good and varied and serving size more than enough. There are no snacks in between so do take your own. The boat ride and arrival greeting and departure farewell are lovely bookends to our stay. While we only spent a few days, its felt so much longer and was a treasured little getaway. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are warm, engaging and always smiling”
“Everything! A delightful and peaceful stay in paradise!”
