Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff Great snorkelling Clean and comfortable rooms Clean resort and well maintained
Cons: Not as relaxing as we had hoped and expected for the Maldives Lack of privacy at Villa Poor quality food served at meal times Special meals were not so special Typically good raw products but poorly cooked, often served over cooked, and often served in sauces Food was often cold when it should have been hot. Spa was very disappointing and lacked ambiance, which is not good for a Spa. Overall this is why we called this review 4th place, based on the four times we have been to the Maldives. We are very disappointed with the overall experience at Oblu. Food quality is very important to us, and an important part of the Maldives experience. This is especially important when you have only one restaurant to go to for your meals each day.
Pros: Most of the staffs were friendly and the food they provided was nice. Nice water condition around the resort, we saw a lot of beautiful fishes and turtle as well. It was amazing experience.
Cons: I wish there was a fixed boat schedule to leave the island. So that we could book the boat time according to our flight. We had to leave extremely early in the morning and it seemed like they wanted to squeeze everybody in the one boat.
Pros: Amazingly friendly staff, great island, awesome facility and exceptional food and drinks selection included. Selection of 4 white and 3 red wines, 2 kinds of Rose and numerous cocktails and spirits like Beefeater gin, Smirnoff vodka and etc, all included. Menu at restaurant changes every day with special theme. But.. it’s not about food and drinks, it’s the nature, and it’s awesome. This hotel gave us awesome experience of Maldives island.
Cons: Maybe just one thing, the entrance to the sea is rocky, you need coral shoes to enjoy the sea. But it’s natural reef and you can’t do anything about it.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, happy and very polite personnel, good selection of buffet and really nice location.
Pros: Beautiful jump off jetty, chill vibes, good snorkelling and great all inclusive package.
Pros: 4th time in Maldives, first time at Oblu . The room was Very clean with all the amenities needed , the bed was extra comfy, location of the deluxe beach villa was great. Thanks to the room attendant team ! . All inclusive package was a Good value for money. Good selection of drinks and cocktails . The resort has a very lush vegetation , the gardeners are doing a very good job ! So clean ! Congrats to them , it allows barefoot everywhere in the resort . The reef is amazing ! . This hotel meet our expectations.
Cons: just a little bite disapointed by the food location only 1 location to have breakfast, lunch and dinner with our Inclusive formula so after 4 days it start to be boring .With an extra charge possibility to go to the Grill or eat at the bar. The music at the bar could be improved but just a detail ! ;) The ambiance as well could be improved no management welcome drinks cocktail for new guests it could be nice but not a big deal . I may say that It is more a family resort than a honeymooners resort ...Overall the resort is very good one and a very good value for money in a all inclusive package in Maldives .
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Vivian at the reception. She always tried her best to help us making the excursion booking and arranged the departure time based on our request. The water is so clear here. There are lots of fish to see along the reef line. I'm very happy with the snorkelling experience here.
Cons: For some reason, the airport meetup time I left at booking.com at booking time was not passed to the resort. We end up with spend the morning at Hulhumale. Though it was good to have a morning beach walk along the white beach, I was a little bit disappoint about the communication between booking.com and the resort. We booked three rooms. I requested to put us together but only two rooms are adjacent. The room I stay was behind (or in front of) the power generator room. So it is VERY VERY noisy. Another comments is about food. I think there is space for the resort to improve the food quality and the variety.

Pros: Piece of Heaven on Earth , great management, kind , helpful & smiley staff ever ( not easy smiling everyone, anytime ), we had an water villa - the stunning panoramic view over the ocean, super clean - twice/day , excellent & various food ! Perfect, even more ...Can't wait to come back ! Already miss it Oblu Select at Sangeli !
Cons: - - -
Pros: The sand are fine and able to see a lot of fishes
Pros: The staffs are friendly and the places are beautiful
Pros: The manager Sribanta was very courteous, he was a gentleman. He had organised a special moonlight dinner for us ,which was exotic and a very memorable one. Thank you Mr Sri this one is for you. Oblu should have more staff like you ! Maria the diver was awesome!
Pros: Staff and location are amazing !! Super service at bars & restaurants !!
Cons: Airconditioning makes a lot of noise , the toilet has no window only a grid and a lot of heat comes in from outside to bathroom area. Distance by bad weather between room and main restaurants & bar, no buggy after 10PM and longer waiting times in the day.
Pros: Careless of guest pleasure Poor service First day at reception let guest 8 person to walk more than 500 m. with Hotest whether to find they room by themself no staff to go no advise how to use room . But another guess who come 2 person have a car to send them. Welcome drink give me alcohol no ask guest who is no drink alcohol. The resterant is not allow to eat seperrate , Staff told me have to wait until 8 person before order food. Firstday Slider is open, but the day later is not open. So disappointed I wanna take picture with cayak-boat I pull it to the sea but staff pull it from my hand and tell me it’s close now I have to come back 13.00 pm. So it is no service mind just 1 short to take a picture , Sure I no go to see them again ————————
Cons: we could have done with a couple of indian items at the lunch and dinner buffet
Pros: The buffet restaurant was top quality, and the staff were quick to make sure you were taken care of; the other restaurants were great as well, just make sure to get reservations. The sues chef at the went out of his way many times to make sure my wife (who has celiac disease) didn't get left out. The gym was amazing! This may seem like nothing to many, but a real squat rack rather than a Smith machine takes the gym to a new level. There is also a staff trainer that does personal training as well as free water aerobics, or water yoga if you're adventurous.
Cons: The bathroom was outside. It was very private and it was kind of cool to have a shower outside, but it was hot and humid in the toilet room :/. If they enclosed the toilet room, and connected to the room's AC it would have been great.
When you stay at Makunudu Island in Makunudu, you'll be on the beach and within the vicinity of Madivaru Beyru Dive Site. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge during limited hours.
Pros: Perfect nature. Very kind stuff.
Cons: The all inclusive is actually FB with small extras. The Diners was on set menu with chicken or tuna. The villa smell bad. Most of Positive comments are not real. Listed bonuses on booking time are missing on arrival time.
Pros: Lovely staff, very helpful Beautiful island, you can spot turtles and different kinds of fish nearby
Cons: Internet went off and on
Pros: We had a wonderful stay on this beautiful island! Staff is so friendly, food very good, snorkeling fantastic (we saw turtles every day, sharks, mantas...). We had a part of the beach for our own which was fantastic. Hopefully this island will go on with this concept, keeping the island 'natural' any charming, as it seems to be very special for the Maledives to find a place like that (no gym, no pool, no jacuzzi, no water villas etc...). We really loved it and we will be back on day! Thank you for having made our trip perfect and unforgettable!
Cons: One little thing: some parts, e.g. footbridges, need to be renovated.
Pros: this is my 2nd time in maldives but first time staying at makunudu: - the food was really good, I particularly enjoyed the set menu dinners - the room was comfortable with a beautiful view - island is small and not crowded with people - the snorkeling at the "turtle point" was amazing - island is very natural and pristine - there is no tv in room and no pool and they don't even have buggies on the island, you really get away from "it" all - birds and crabs are just walking around everywhere, you are one with nature - staff are SO nice and friendly - the spa massage was great
Cons: - room bathroom doesnt have water jet, but bar bathroom does. why not put one in the rooms then? - the all inclusive drinks were a bit disappointing, both in terms of selection and quality - there is no jetty for snorkeling, you have to swim out from shore or otherwise take the paid boat trip. having said that the paid boat trip is definitely worth it as you will see all sorts of wonderful things. - the wifi was pretty slow, but that's usually the case in maldives
Pros: Room very spacious and clean with semi-private beach for each. The staff was lovely ! We loved diving as well !
Cons: Maybe a little bit too quiet :)
Pros: The resort staff was always ready to fulfil any requests. The food quality and selection was amazing. We strongly reccomend this resort.
Pros: Amazing location, wonderful reef. Very good food!
Cons: WiFi didn’t work that good...
Pros: The food was superb. If u want to enjoy the food, this is definitely the place.
Cons: Nothing much to do around there but I guess that’s how Maldives is.
Pros: I simply would like to thank Makunudu for an amazing vacation! It was an escape for me and my husband. I am usually very picky and Makunudu exceeded my expectations. Everything from check in was both very professional and also (what I appreciate most) very kind. The little villa is really cosy and stylish. Especially I loved the open bathroom. I worried it will be inconvenient but in fact what You get is open ceiling and flowers in pots. I really liked the privacy You get at the beach- You almost don't meet anyone if You don't want:) The sea is beautiful, I got a chance to snorkel with turtles, sharks, once even mantra-ray and groups of fishes of all kinds. The food was really nice too: simple, always super fresh and delicious. Every day the food differed, especially I liked lunch with different sorts of curry, fresh pasta, salads, fish. Evenings were nice as well. As I don't eat meat I can only recommend here to add some other fish rather than tuna (or seafood) for the vegetarian option. Special thanks sending to our great waiter Anvar who is just the best and made me feel at home. The whole Team including management was very attentive to us every day.
Cons: Slight things that did not spoil our vacation. Water activities center (they do not belong to hotel). As a part of all exclusive package we had a canoe included. We wanted to go and snorkel from it (one by one to make sure canoe is OK). They were literary asking us to leave our equipment because they want You to pay quite a lot for the 5 minutes jet ski tour to the turtle point. And generally this tour point in my opinion is overpriced. Taking into account it's 10 minutes away even by canoe. Also in my opinion the late check out is a bit overpriced, it was close to the price of a night on booking with all inclusive.
