8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hotel and rooms are modern, well presented and clean.
Cons: Glass doors on the bathroom aren't great for privacy if you're sharing with a friend. Plus, if you go to the loo in the night and put the bathroom light on, it illuminates the whole room. Unfortunately a case of style over practicality.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: only downside menu is a little sparse but what I did eat was tasty
6.5 Good

Heather made sure I had everything I needed, dropped me at the station on departure day, organised a bike for me to rent and lots more; Train station walkable distance; shops and pub also.
Cons: As advertised, note the shared bathroom. But wasn't any issue as I mostly had it for myself and it was always clean & accessible. Advice: If you want your own bathroom there's also the possibility of renting the annex with ensuite!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s very close to centre of Luton with big mall where you find lots of eating places. Tea and coffee in room was also a bonus.
Cons: Staff member at front desk at time could do with a smile. Also check in time is 3pm which is not the practice used by most international hotels which is 2pm. While breakfast was a buffet it was not a lot of options for the price of 12 pounds charged.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the evening was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent. The Room was clean and tidy. I Would recommend this hotel.
Cons: There was a problem with the air conditioning unit. It just wouldn't switch off. Not that the temperature was wrong. It was just too noisy. We tried switching it off on the control panel. That didn't work. We even took the cardcard which activates the electric to the room out. All the lights and electric went off. But the air conditioning unit still kept going! All night! Kept waking us up. It was late and we couldn't be bothered to complain. So we put up with it.
10.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: The property was quite central and near to the mall and train and bus station. Easy for me To get a taxi to the airport

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and it was a beautiful room. A great location which was so convenient to town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good and very tasty. Bar and garden patio was very good and had a good atmosphere. Reception staff went above and beyond for my elderly disabled mother. We were able to leave our car in the car park after check out. The restaurant menu was very varied and my steak was so tender and tasty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I originally booked a single room for the night but was offered a free upgrade to a double room with a lovely big bath. The hotel room was spotlessly clean with a super comfy bed and air conditioning. There were also tea and coffee making facilities and little sachets of hot chocolate which was nice. I had dinner in the Azure Brasserie which is downstairs and the food was fantastic. Breakfast was great too with a huge selection of food to choose from. I honestly cannot fault this hotel or the staff. Janine on reception was really lovely and every other member of staff I came across was very polite and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: N/A
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and very tasty
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The managers son Billy NOThING else
Cons: The Manager was incredibly rude and aggressive towards us when telling us we couldn’t have the room we booked and shoe horning us into a tiny dirty double bedroom with a rock bed door handle handle hanging off and a mouldy shower and bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Hotel was amazing, The staff where brilliant and the value for money was great, I will definitely be going back again, especially for a girls night to sit on the terrace and have some food, Music was perfect. Hotel had a really good safe entrance to the rooms they have thought of everything for your stay with them. Loved it!
Cons: There is not anything about this hotel that I did not like
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff very nice & helpful
Cons: The town center area it’s attached too!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Very friendly staff.
Cons: No window in the room or bathroom except a sky light. Room was ok, it was a family room but still quite small. Lots of dirt under the sofa bed. The sofa bed was just a leather sofa laid flat with a sheet on top, kept sticking to the bed. No hand soap in the bathroom. To be honest it was a bit claustrophobic, we asked to change rooms but they were all booked up. Very noisy because we had the sky light open and every so often someone was putting bottles into something, recycling maybe. It was a Fri night and there was a private party going on, which was fair enough. We didn't get to sleep till about 2am. It was ok for one night but I probably wouldn't stay again. Perhaps it's quieter in the week.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds and luxury baths.
The White Horse - Hertford
7
9.0 Excellent (141 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A warm welcome when we arrived and we were shown to our room. Large restaurant area albeit we didn't eat there as we were going to a party, but the food looked good. Would recommend you book a table early though as it was extremely busy. Included in the room WiFi, TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee, shower gel, shampoo and iron, ironing board available. Car park is big, but because of the popularity of the White Horse, it can get very busy.
Cons: Great shower, but difficult to set a good temperature. After hours door difficult to unlock.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice room
Cons: Short staffed
7.5 Good
Pros: Cosy, parking, location.
Cons: No marmalade for breakfast. Sunday breakfast starts too late.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: If you like cerials, fruit,, fruit juices, yoghurt, toast and marmalade, etc for breakfast..... you can't get any of them. Only set cooked meals like full English, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon and scrambled egg etc. Dinner good.. The bedrooms are good but the mid-stay tidying is lax. No toilet rolls, wash basin not wiped over etc etc.
8.3 Excellent

5.5 Okay
Cons: The blind in the bathroom was broken. The toilet was dirty and there was spiderwebs on the ceiling above our bed and the windows did not open far enough because of the child locks. Would have been nice to have windows that opened all the way as was very hot.
8.3 Excellent

Pros: Fantastic location and friendly staff made the stay all the much better.
Cons: Breakfast was not the best but would definitely still stag here again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast all very good. Meals in the hotel also good. Parking is easy, and free.
Cons: The family room was very tight. The sofa bed took up most of the spare space. The room was very hot - no airconditioning and we were there on a 35 degree Celsius day. To be fair, the heat was VERY unusual for England, and the staff provided a fan upon request, which was appreciated.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice comfy bed and spacious room. Good choice of breakfast. Friendly staff. Quick easy check in/out. Nice local area. Was there for the festival nearby and was a good location for that
Cons: There wasn’t a bath even though the advertisement picture showed one. They seemed understaffed at breakfast and dodgy toaster meant toast kept burning and filling room with smoke. On the last day there was no smoked salmon for breakfast. No air con so had to sleep with windows open as was v hot. Could hear the busy road outside
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff that were on were friendly
Cons: Seemed quite short staffed

Pros: Restaurant offered a wide range of vegan options which were delicious. Staff super friendly and very helpful and went the extra mile. All the staff we met were lovely, polite and seemed to enjoy their work A nice atmosphere in the Inn
Cons: Please provide dairy free milk at breakfast for vegans. We asked for it and it was there for us the next morning but not the last morning. More and more people are vegan now so it is seen as normal to have dairy free options..

9.4 Excellent
Pros: - Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens
Cons: - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room overlooking the gardens was superb and having the option to do clay shooting on the expansive grounds was a definite bonus as an extra treat for my partners birthday. Upon arrival at our room there was a leak from the air conditioning unit, maintenance arrived within 5 minutes and we were subsequently moved into an alternate upgraded room next door for the inconvenience. Great second visit and thinking this may even be the place we get married
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The estate is lovely to walk around rock gardens lake etc . The staff are so nice and friendly can’t do enough for you . The rooms are very very nice and so clean with lovely views . The food is of a very high standard highly recommend

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect no words to describe more just beautiful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stunning building, decor and views. Staff were super friendly and the facilities are great!
Cons: Rooms a little dated and the breakfast could have used better quality ingredients.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Rooms were a good size although fussy and old fashioned. The grounds are beautiful. Room service was very punctual when I requested fresh milk.
Cons: Rude staff, slow service, terrible complaints management, bad communication. Pool was very small for the number of spa guests and there wasn't enough seating around the pool either. Communal areas are quite run down e.g. in the country club accommodation.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice large room, grounds beautiful.
Cons: We had an issue with the toilet, which was not flushing when we arrived, which was fixed, then an issue with the TV (x3), which was fixed each time, then the fire alarm went off at about 4am. We were not checked on, we went outside for about 25 minutes, none checked on us, or said we could go back to our room, so we just did. We asked a number of people about the alarm, no one could tell us what happened, we were not provided with any explanation/apology. The air-conditioning subsequently did not work, which was subsequently fixed. It seemed to be understaffed, we had to ask twice for a corkscrew (which took 20mins), and then on another occasion twice for an ice bucket (15mins). The staff were all lovely but everything took too long for a 5 star hotel at £250 a night
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was lovely with its own garden, great bar staff in main house .
Cons: Mix up with drinks and dinner orders in brasserie.
4.3 Okay
Cons: Staff at breakfast very rude. Closed the door on us just before we entered and given it was glass could see us. All because it was 10 mins before close.

7.0 Good
Pros: Overall a pleasant stay probably marred only by the VERY limited menu.
Cons: The menu.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed at Fanhams many times over the years through work, it is so good I have brought my wife with me several times for short breaks On this occasion it was to visit my mother who unfortunately was very ill in Stevenage hospital, to stay at Fanhams is so peaceful it did help
Cons: I don't like complaining about this lovely place but we did not sleep well on this occasion as our radiators broke down with terrible noises twice in the night, after being moved to another room the fire alarm went off, this left us exhausted. The day manager Jonathan spoke to us in the morning and asked if we would like a complimentary night after hearing of my mums illness, I cant thank him enough as she sadly passed away. To have the extra night was really calming and peaceful
5.0 Okay
Pros: The grounds and the garden are impressive. Only positive thing.
Cons: The room is way too small. The facilities were poor. Carpet was dated, and dirty. The breakfast was cold and uninspiring. The grapefruit served for breakfast had gone off.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast, beautiful location
5.5 Okay
Pros: As it was my husbands birthday they left a card and sweets in the bedroom which was a nice touch. There was also a complimentary bottle of prosecco with our evening meal which was excellent as was the breakfast. The serving staff were also very helpful.
Cons: We were not advised when we booked that there were 2 weddings taking place. Both bars and the terrace was closed off to us. We were put in a corridor and then had staff come to take our order eventually. The manager did try to assist although kept pointing out that we will make the best of it! But we only saw him once and nowhere to be found when checking out. For our evening meal we were placed in a small room where we could here the wedding parties outside enjoying the terrace that we did not have access to and the bar areas. There was a lot of commotion and we felt that we were intruders. When we checked out and explained our concerns regarding such limited access to facilities she was dismissive and quite rude. There is also the issue of the hotel taking payment before we checked out which I did not think was professional. There was no option of taking a walk to the local town as it was so far so sitting in a corridor with members of the wedding parties walking past all the time in a small space was unacceptable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite whether because it was our anniversary or because my wife had had a hip replacement I don’t know. But very pleased they did. I can’t thank them enough. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Very relaxing and a great place for a 2 day break or more.
Cons: The menu was limited and bar food only.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel will always book when coming down to Ware to see family and friends
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful building and gardens. Small but very nice room. Good choice at breakfast. Staff was very nice and hard working.
Cons: The fact that we couldn’t access either bar or lounge to have lunch when we arrived due to there being two weddings that day. The manager did his best and we were seated outside with sandwiches and a drink. We couldn’t use the terrace until the wedding parties had gone inside and in the evening after dinner we had to sit in a sort of corridor. Had we been told about the weddings we wouldn’t have stayed here. This sort of venue shouldn’t book guests other than for the weddings as they can’t cope and the customer service slips.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was well presented and of quality
Cons: Main building is due rennovation. Rooms in the accomodation block are small for two people.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely! Room was also really comfy.
Cons: Bathroom was a little small.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was extremely clean, public areas furnished beautifully, facilities very good, the bedroom room extremely well thought out, the staff couldn't do enough for me. I don't eat breakfast however I did look at the menu selection and it appeared very good. The evening meal food was Italian orientated, the home made pizza I had was one of the best I have ever had, home baked rolls were delicious, the wine selection excellent. Though very near the Luton airport however once inside you were not aware at all of the planes. An excellent find.
6.8 Good
Cons: Room size was small and bathroom was too small
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great, nice and clean room, restaurant and bar in the hotel. Food was good, but maybe little old fashioned. It is only a short drive by taxi to the airport and the train.
Cons: Pretty close to the airport and therefore plane noise
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Two room suite with two bathrooms was nice. We were there for a very short stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very hot in the rooms due to a heat wave, but they had fans going and brought more for us.
Cons: No air conditioning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The WiFi was good, the people are nice and helpful and the food was really good. One of the best breakfasts I have had. There's also plenty of parking and it has a gym and spa, although I haven't looked or tried it yet.
Cons: The add was a bit misleading as it didn't mention i would have to pull the bed out of the wall. This may of been the reason it wasn't that comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant was a nice little surprise as it was very tasty.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location. The facilities and overall this hotel was a nice surprise!
Cons: Suff not very helpful. I didn't have the feeling you get when people want to help and answer your questions... I was also charged the booking before arriving and I had to ask to be informed. And finally the guy in the bar on the night shift was overcharging drinks!!!!

Pros: Stunning hotel where the quality of the rooms and facilities were superb. Beautifully furnished and presented rooms, it was clear that a great deal of thought has been put into the design with quality as a paramount. This was also true of the staff, who were excellent, professional and genuinely friendly, they made this the perfect stay. Two members of the team in the restaurant were exceptional, Ruth was fantastic and made both our evening meals memorable, an absolute asset to the hotel. When Ruth left for the evening, we were then looked after by Szaby who also provided a truly excellent service. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely visit again.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with upmarket fittings.
Cons: Paper thin walls between rooms. You could hear everything going on. Very poor breakfast that doesn't do justice to the Hilton brand. Surprisingly the breakfast was no better in quality over a premier Inn. Premier Inn comes out on top in terms of quietness. Their doors don't slam.
9.3 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable and helpful staff
6.8 Good
Pros: Was functional and they had rooms available at reasonable rates.
Cons: Crowded and noisy. Was in a field in the middle of nowhere. Not obvious why they need to charge extra for parking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, room size and breakfast.
Cons: We found our room had already been used; I learned from reception that someone had checked and then moved to another room, but neither reception or housekeeping had checked it before re-allocating it. The bathroom was soiled and there was rubbish left in the room. Whilst we were moved and the reception staff were very apologetic, this should never have happened.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was freshly cooked.
Cons: The entire experience was wonderful, from the staff, the room and the breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very friendly and helpful with a happy face at all times

5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is close to the airport yet quiet, the staff are friendly and helpful and the bed was clean and comfortable
Cons: the plates and bowls at the breakfast buffet were all covered in food remains as though they had been quickly rinsed before being used again, in fact it was so off putting that I abandoned breakfast altogether and went to the nerby kfc instead, On a less important note the shower was dirty and had lots of mould in it.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything in the hotel
Cons: The location, to much noise
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its was my birthday, they so nice got me a card ect lovely beautiful my was done up sooo nice xxx
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: The parking solution. This should have been explained and notified upon reservation. They did not change the bed sheets for three days.
6.3 Good
Pros: Well, I did get a room, I could sleep in it, it had a bathroom, a tiny desk and a flat screen TV. The lighting was adequate.
Cons: There was a yellow spot on the toilet seat. The room had a ventilation shaft with air being blown through, which made a (pretty loud) wooshing noise. The TV remote wasn't working, I had to rub the batteries to get it to work. When I left early in the morning to go to the airport, the elevator got stuck midway with a jolt, started again, got stuck again, then opened its doors between floors (luckily the elevator floor level was only about 40 cm lower than the building floor level and I was able to get out). Not the way you want to start a day when you have to get to the airport to catch an international flight! Last but not least, the area where the hotel is located didn't feel very safe - although the hotel is in the same building as the Luton Mall. Going out of the hotel you have to navigate some external stairways where various people in hoods sit around drinking, the square in front of the mall featured only shady characters at 7 pm when I got there and afterwards, and you can't find any grocery stores carrying fresh fruit on the adjacent streets. I didn't dare go farther.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and pleasant, the lounge area is comfy and to have free hot drinks is great. Breakfast choice was good also. The bed was comfortable, room clean and with all you could need including a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. It was also great you could open the window if you wanted fresh air and the curtains blocked all light.
Cons: We were originally put in 1011 on 10th floor but there was a loud continuous humming noise and we couldn't sleep. We dressed and went to reception and they gave us keys to 611 without fuss and suggested the plant room on the roof might be to blame, as 10 is the top floor. Beware that any room that is number 11 on any floor is next to the lift, but that didn't move much after 12 so we did get some sleep. One lift swung and jolted violently when we used it. I reported it but action was slow and instead of being 'keyed off' a sign board was put inside the door. This meant when that lift arrived first you had to lean into the lift and send it up to another floor so the remaining functioning lift would arrive. The location is convenient but I wouldn't have liked to have arrived in the dark as there were a lot of street drinkers and beggers on the short walk from the train station to the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice & Clean
Cons: Bathrooms sink not was very clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect middle of town 1minute from mall really good breakfast
Cons: No air con but did have a fan really hot during night
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast very good quality and included. Staff helpful Location for Centre of Luton and train station was excellent. Unlimited free tea and coffee
Cons: Aircon didn't make any difference to heat, though additional fan did. Bed way too firm. Could hear slamming doors throughout the night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a great location. Close to city center and for us-4 minute walk to train station as we were catching a train to Gatwick airport. It was connected to a very large mall unfortunately not open before we needed to leave. Looked like cute shops and restaurants nearby also.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Highly enjoyable overnight stay
Cons: I have complained about the stale bread and mouldy rolls served with otherwise delicious breakfast, complaint was dismissed by the staff by taking them away, no apology, no reaction. Not expected this from Marriott

Pros: Grounds were gorgeous. Bed was very comfortable! Buffet breakfast was 10/10. Staff were so polite.

Pros: It's set in beautiful surroundings, perfect if you play golf, but if you don't you can walk around the grounds. The facilities are good with lots to do.
Cons: Some of the towels were a bit dirty but apart from that it was very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was lovely ,Room very nice,Restaurant staff very good, The grounds very well looked after, Overall very nice
Cons: Reception desk staff tried to take my room money twice telling me in front of other guests i had not pre paid,When i knew i had as i had checked my bank statements before traveling. On leaving at checkout the reception staff took money to settle my food /drinks bill from my debt card to then be told it went through twice and would probably have to wait up to 3 weeks for it to be paid back in ,NOT Happy.
6.8 Good
Pros: The morning pastries were delicious. The location is beautiful. The manor house is spectacular.
Cons: My hash brown was a hash black. The room was too hot and the balcony doors were broken and wouldn't open properly. The fan in the room was very dusty which blew all around the room when I turned it on.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurants and great pool
Cons: As an older person suffering with serious joint pain in back and hips I requested a room close to the pool but I don’t think the chap on reception liked me so he gave me probably the furthest room from anywhere and top floor and it was so hot I had to sleep in the bath, more stress to follow key cards didn’t work so I had to walk back to reception, couldn’t find a porter or a wheel chair
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything but the food we have stayed here a handful of times and the food has been spot on but they have moved the restaurant and it wasn’t so good apart from the breakfast was good
Cons: The food apart from breakfast

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable
Cons: Taps and loo lever were very stiff - it would not have been easy for a person with arthritis to flus the loo and turn on the taps.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Finally an actual double bed, not two beds put together with the inevitable gap in between.
Cons: No electrical socket by the night stand for phone charging; a bit of an oversight in the 21st century.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Tea and coffee facilities in the room were excellent. Parking included in our stay.
Cons: No leisure club as described. Staff suggested board games as an alternative. We had booked an extra night in order to stay at the hotel and use the pool on arrival prior to a wedding the following day. We even had a pool policy in the booking confirmation. Rooms not put together as we requested. Décor and lighting poor. Staff uninterested and not attentive to customer needs at all. Untidy. View over patio area but this was littered and glasses etc were left lying around for 24 hours. Door lock did not work at all and staff did not resolve.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet surrounding area and rooms, comfortable bed, nice cafe and bar area and great staff. A good place for relaxing and having business meetings.
Cons: Room and bathroom decor a little dated, feels stingy charging residents for parking I feel given the space they have and rural location away from any stations etc. And on a personal level there were no coffee sachets in my room and although phoned twice and was promised some would be brought up....no one ever came.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: While bar and restaurant were good the rooms were very tired and dated
9.3 Excellent

6.0 Good
Pros: Nice room, plenty of space. Great bed
Cons: Food is very average in restaurant. Room service menu is tastier with more choice.
7.7 Good
Pros: Sam the waiter in the restaurant was (and has always been) an absolute credit to this hotel - he is attentive, courteous and should be rewarded in some way for his excellent work - other guest at check-out commented on this to the staff at reception also.
Cons: The fact that the rate was not right on checking in and they had problems finding second reservation - also a bottle of wine was put on our room and service charged even though we did not have it (the slip was not signed for anyway) but this was taken off again when questioned.
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable and the extensive breakfast was included in the booking
Cons: 3pm seems quite late to check in, but we were able to check in an hour earlier

5.6 Okay
Pros: Very polite staff. Late checkout as an easy option. Problem with the original room allocation (mattress was in need of repair) which was resolved very quickly and we were allocated a new room.
Cons: No fridge in the room. Aircon was a little noisy. Allocated a room which was not fit for our stay (although rectified quickly on request). The bar area was very warm (no aircon)
