Location very central. Everything was very clean and lots of facilities available.Common area was cosy, we appreciated post service for our postcards home.A nice touch!
The beds are comfortable, equipped with power outlets, a reading light and curtain for privacy. The location is convenient and the staff friendly and helpful.
I had been traveling in and out of Koashuing and I stayed at this hostel only one night. After discovering how wonderful the bed was I was sorry that I did not stay there previously when I spent a week in a hostel that was good but was twice the price. If I ever Mabel to come back to this city I would stay here. The dorm rooms have a very long rod that you can hang your towels and air out or dry your clothes. It's wonderful to have that and not have to hang wet things on bed posts. While the rooms are air-conditioned each bed had a small personal fan. They have a basement for games and other activities and the kitchen has several appliances that while they don't have a stove to cook a meal you can use a toaster oven, microwave and a few other appliances. They have hot and cold water which saves money and is eco-friendly.
there were room deodorizers throughout the facility but they can get very overpowering in a dorm room when the windows are not opened and many people have adverse health responses to them. I have been traveling a long time. I would love to find in a hostel those little one or two burner stoves that would allow guests to have a quick stir fry. I don't need to make a huge meal and the hostile would not have to spend a lot of money to have a few pots and pans and the stove. Often as we travel we miss getting the protein or vitamins from food that keeps us healthy. And with all the lovely Asian street food a lot of it is fried and not always a lot of vegetable or fruit choices.
Location is right away when you’re just out of exit 2 from mrt and night small market is on the corner. All is clean, enough bathrooms and toilets for even the busy weeken. No food in the room is good rule for clean bedroom. Comfortable bed and pillow blanket. You do business but you think for the guests as well with the curtains in bathroom to avoid from wet clothes during bathing.
The check-in time is late at 4pm. It’s very tired for the people who took the long flights from early morning or even the previous night to wish for a bath and rest after that. It can be improved.
The private double we stayed in was better equipped than expected of a hostel. Feel more like a cheerful business hotel. The little kitchen is adequate for simple meal prep. Housekeeping staff are friendly always with a smile. Breakfast is provided by a seperate establishment located the entrance. By the 4th day of ordering the only vegan option of peanut butter toast, the breakfast crew suggested replacing with a more nutrious and delicious fresh fruit juice. Yum.
In general, reception staff are polite enough but it ends there. Poorly trained in local knowledge and directions, unable to handle small issues that arised during our stay, and turned nasty in an instant. The vibe was bad after the incident and we decided to leave the otherwise clean and well maintained hostel. Public lounging areas are small with very few seats for a hostel of such occupancy.
